True personal growth ultimately will lead to fulfillment, and it's my intention with these podcasts to connect more deeply with you. Thank you for joining me, Anne Corbin, and my guests, and welcome to this episode. I recall watching a TV series on channel 4 probably. It was a bit off the wall and very hard to follow yet somehow compelling. And I remember watching it week after week wondering when it was going to make sense. Clearly I had more time on my hands in those days.
The series was called Utopia and thanks to IMDB I can tell you that series 1 aired in 2013. Most of the cast were unknown. I suspect it was low budget so they didn't use any famous names, and it was only 6 episodes long. Then lo and behold, a second series arrived in 2014, and I could remember just about no detail about the story so far, but nevertheless I tuned in because I remembered it was a bit fascinating and I duly became hooked all over again.
This time the story line began to make plenty of sense. Relationships were revealed, motivations became apparent, and by the end of series 2, it had tied up all of the loose ends or, well, most of them. IMDB informs me that the show has been rated 8.4 out of 10, and that is pretty high. And there are many, many rave reviews in the comments section. So why has this show from 2013 14 been on my mind for the past few years?
Because it was a masterpiece of predictive programming, and the villain of the story was massively concerned about overpopulation and was producing a medicinal remedy to rectify the balance. In other words, kill off large swathes of people or maybe stop them being born in the first place that is cause infertility. IMDB also informs me that a third series was planned but that was cancelled very abruptly and never made.
And the genre for the show is conspiracy thriller, so read what you will into the cancellation. When Thomas More wrote his famous book Utopia in 15/16, Henry the 8th was King of England and utopia was an imaginary island where perfection reigned. It was possibly written in an attempt to suggest ways to improve European society by making it largely classless and abolishing private property. Sounds a bit like communism to me.
And in recent times, the word utopia is frequently used to describe, quote, an impractical plan or scheme for social improvement, unquote. That comes from the Merriam Webster dictionary. So although I and possibly a majority of people associate utopia with paradise on earth, I'd say the meaning has been somewhat hijacked and it's used particularly by those who are all about social engineering and indeed population reduction by a host of nefarious and underhand measures.
The official word for this is eugenics, and this too has had its meaning corrupted because originally, eugenics meant good breeding or even improvement in the race or stock by creating a better breed. Think of what dog breeders, for example, have been doing for centuries and how farm animals are bred for better milk yields in the case of cattle or thicker fleeces in the case of sheep.
The problem today is that those self self appointed rulers of society, as it has supposedly become more civilized and scientism, not real science, has advanced, these folks at the top of the pyramid have decided that there are too many of us and we need to be called. That is drastic measures need to be employed to reduce the numbers of people on the planet. Refer back to episode a 104 which I called, what overpopulation crisis?
I personally do not believe there's anything like 8,000,000 people on the planet. Even on the British Isles where we're deeply worried about uncontrolled immigration, there are huge areas of empty space. The current immigration numbers are an issue because they're so highly visible, and it's all happening too fast. Up to 80% of the illegal immigrants are not employed. They are not contributing yet they're enjoying our generous welfare and facilities such as education and medical care.
And most of us can't get to see a doctor when we need one. This is why. Now some are being accommodated in 4 star hotels at vast expense while homeless native Brits who can't access social housing have to sleep on the streets. So this resulting pressure on infrastructure is a huge drain on the economy. We, ordinary people, are expected well, we've got no choice. We have to fund this social engineering through our taxation which is already far too high and unfair.
Plus we're in a cost of living crisis and our energy prices on this island are the highest in the Western world, I heard recently. So we are in something of a powder keg situation at present with the most unpopular government ever, and it's been in power for less than 6 months. Okay. Sorry. That was a slight diversion from eugenics, but only slight. Excessive numbers allowed into, even encouraged into the UK, America, Europe, and so on are there by design.
In our case, it began with Tony Blair's Labour government at the start of this millennium, and it's only escalated under each following administration. Whether they call themselves Conservative or Labour, more and more now recognize them as two wings of the same bird, and the policies that they pursue have consistently made life more difficult for the average inhabitant of these islands over the last 25 years or so. Before I continue, I must do something that I invariably forget.

To continue, the current UK government pursues an agenda that may accurately be described as Fabian Socialism. I've said before, socialism is nothing more nor less than the acceptable face of communism, and I've set out my thoughts on the insidious advance of communism in Western society in more than one earlier podcast. But let's examine this word Fabian. The Fabian Society was formed in 18/84 and its original emblem or coat of arms is a wolf in sheep's clothing. That's right.
It's had deception as its chief intent from the very start of its existence. The society was well known in Edwardian times particularly in academic circles and several still well known names were amongst its members. For example, George Bernard Shaw, HG Wells, Bertrand Russell, and Emmeline Pankhurst. Certainly it wasn't all bad to start with.
Its essence seems to have been champion the underdog, work for improvements in his life and conditions but do it surreptitiously so no one on the other side realizes what you are doing. Up until around 19 seventies, members of the society worked quietly in the background to bring about and promote good social change, better overall conditions for the working people in this country, but they were also very active in the growth of the Labour Party.
Very different in its early days to the monster it is now. I will resist the temptation to go down that particular rabbit hole for the moment because an even bigger one has just opened up. When I was gathering my thoughts for this podcast, Elon Musk had just weighed in on social media criticizing our PM and his hopeless performance and metaphorically kicking a few selected derriere.
This is a very interesting development and he was causing huge consternation and opening up very necessary debate in the UK. I might well pick it up in a future podcast, but what has overtaken mister Musk's barrage of tweets or x's is the dreadful situation in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles caused by numerous wildfires all burning out of control. The destruction is beyond belief. It's apocalyptic.
The threat of wildfires that could potentially occur in this area has existed for decades, and in fact, it was the subject matter covered in a Joe Rogan podcast apparently on July 19th just last year. Joe had been talking with a firefighter who clearly set out the problems with the 40 mile an hour winds. They were a lot higher than that just recently, but these winds fan the flames and carry burning embers which cause the fires to spread and you can't stop the sparks.
So if those in charge are aware of the risks why aren't steps taken to plan for controlling such potential disasters? Why not indeed? Well the plot thickens. On alternative media someone posted an article about a spate of thefts of fire hydrants in Los Angeles. Last year 2024, over a 100 had gone missing. For goodness sake, this must have been planned. What earthly use is a fire hydrant to the average person or even the average criminal?
And the mayor of LA, no doubt fully aware of the ongoing fire risk, which was exacerbated by one of California's typical hot dry summers last year actually cut funding for the LA fire department by $17,600,000. She wanted, in fact, to cut the funding by $23,000,000. And as the fires broke out, the mayor was on a taxpayer funded trip with a Biden administration delegation in Ghana, for goodness sake. The new president is being inaugurated on January 20th.
What are these folks doing visiting Africa now apart from having a last chance jolly in the dying days of the Biden regime. I don't watch much live TV these days, but I still have the set and chanced to see a panel discussion last night on a program called Newsnight. Panelists, true to form, were blaming the fires on climate change. How very predictable. There's just no convincing some people that climate change and the net zero agenda are a well planned and carefully orchestrated hoax.
Brainwashing strikes again. Newsnight is supposed to be a serious news program watched by the so called Intelligentsia. It goes out at 10:30 at night. And because it's produced by the BBC, people think it's unbiased. The BBC have a science correspondent who never misses a chance to bleat about climate change and the green agenda.
I mentioned not long ago how the floods in Valencia were largely caused by important dams further inland in Spain having been intentionally destroyed in accordance with EU policy. Now here's a policy enforced by Gavin Newsom, governor of California, With the water supply in a huge Californian city severely reduced by ongoing dry conditions, he refused to reverse a ridiculous setup that wastes tons of water that's freely available inland and to the north of Los Angeles.
Water is hugely expensive in LA to begin with because it's in limited supply, but it doesn't have to be like this. Water would flow south naturally from Canada. It would be available to farmers in those northern states and counties and to LA and other cities. But instead, millions of tons of fresh water are routed directly into the ocean to protect a tiny species of fish that no one's ever heard of, the Californian Delta smelt. You couldn't make this up.
Last time Donald Trump was president, he was involved in a plan to reroute this water to where it's desperately needed by people, but Newsom refused to sign off on implementing the new construction work. Those forest fires that occur regularly in California are planned. They do not happen naturally. Usually, arsonists are eventually found. Already in Pacific Palisades, arsonists have been identified in the case of 2 of the big fires.
It's no coincidence that so many began there within hours of each other. The whole idea clearly was to overwhelm fire defenses. And now the hydrants have run dry, 100 of 1000 of people have lost everything. Many aren't even insured because a major insurer called State Farm canceled 100 of policies in Pacific Palisades last summer. And I read that other companies have amended their terms to exclude loss occasioned by fire, and that, of course, is the biggest risk.
Is this looking like a plan to you yet? Oh, there's another preventative measure that would reduce the devastating spread of the forest fires, and that's forest management, but currently it's illegal to remove dead trees and dried up undergrowth. Can you believe it? This law is part of rewilding one of the United Nations initiatives. It's probably wrapped up in one of their SD SDGs. Those are sustainable development goals. Again, I've discussed them in a previous podcast.
Actually, it took 2 to get through them all. The UN declares that nature should be left alone to look after itself and to hell with people. People all over America have experienced hell in recent months years. Right now, it's the folks in Pacific Palisades. I'm not usually recording while a disaster is actually happening. So we send you prayers and strength from the UK, and may God forgive those who have unwittingly contributed to the rollout of this ghastly agenda.
