Anne of the aspects that impressed me most about the energy codes which is that mind body spirit modality that I've spent so much time studying Anne in which I will shortly be offering my own training It's that as a former science teacher, what I love is the acknowledgement and reflection that science, specifically quantum physics, is now in alignment with spirituality, In other words, with the ancient knowledge recorded in those sacred writings of the Eastern traditions.
Now you've probably heard me say more than once, that religion and spirituality are very different. But that absolutely doesn't mean that two concepts are opposed to one another or mutually exclusive or anything like that. In many ways, spirituality is winning out at the moment over organized religion worldwide. And it possibly because people are less inhibited about admitting that they are spiritual as opposed to being religious. Seems to be that way particularly in the UK at the moment.
You may recall that I've mentioned that I was raised a calf but that I can't call myself Anne at the moment because I haven't been following their rather restrictive rules for many years. Anne that makes me a lapsed Catholic because in this faith, unless you actively convert to something else, it's a case of, Anne a Catholic, always a Catholic. And frankly, it's clear that many parts of the Catholic church and other churches have been infiltrated by the dark side at the highest levels.
Anne we need look no further than the child abuse scandals, which first began gradually to see the light of day only about 20 years ago, and there are plenty of good people in all of the organized religions who are being unfairly tarred with the same brush because of the behavior of others who are definitely well outside where they ought to be. The film's spotlight released in 2015 highlighted how this abuse was exposed, and it impression of the truth.
Anne, yeah, when I say truth, I'm talking pedophilia. You know, one of the devil's greatest achievements was convincing mankind that he doesn't exist. I bet he's laughing his tail off at the moment. Anyway, as usual, I'm in danger of going off topic because what I really want to reflect on today is the miraculous.
We tend to think that miracles were sort of magic occurrences that happened in the presence of Jesus 2000 years ago, but of course, They have been happening ever since and still are today. I mean, why shouldn't they? We have enormous powers. We just need to remember how to use them. After all, as some sage person said, miracles are just physics for which no one has yet written an equation.
I also want to reflect broadly on the last book of the new testament, which is known as revelations, or the book of the apocalypse, apocalypse just means revelation although there is a tendency to think that apocalypse means some kind of disaster, probably because of certain film type in the last 10 years or so. Even mainstream media has been covering topics like the mark of the beast. 666 Anne asking whether or not the end times are upon us right now for obvious reasons.
You may be familiar with that term, the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, and they are war pestilence famine, and death. And now I want to introduce a subject that I suspect is familiar to fewer people, and that is apparitions of the blessed virgin Mary, also known as Marion apparitions or just visions.
In our times, I suppose the best known of these is her appearance to Bernadette at Corbin France There is a grotto still there at Lord today, and it's a huge tourist attraction, where the faithful literally flock in droves hoping for healing. And many actually receive healing and then come the arguments about people healing themselves Anne their afflictions being psychosomatic Corbin imaginary. In other words, it the first place.
Nevertheless, there have been some remarkable and miraculous recoveries. I learned only recently that Mary appeared in Huroshiv in Ukraine in 9 87. This happened to the year. Sorry, I mean, to the minute 1 year after Chernobyl. And she said at that time that the destiny of the world was at stake. She predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union. It happened just a couple of years later, and she foretold the independence of Ukraine.
Which happened in 1991. It was, in fact, Mary's 2nd appearance in Herushi The first one was in 1914. And at that point, she predicted that Russia would become a godless country. Half a million people saw her in 1987. And what she said was considered to be a nuclear warning, but the apparition got little or no publicity outside of Ukraine that is because, well, perhaps because the such disbelief around in these so called modern times that even the church hesitates to accept any new as real.
I'd just like to point out that Ukraine was one of the first nations In the world, to be consecrated to Mary, I had no idea that Ukraine was such a basti of Catholicism, but that consecration first happened in the year 10 37. Anne then there was another one in 1985 when the cold war was still ongoing. And one of Mary's often repeated requests is that the faithful should pray for Russia, and that is Russia specifically, not the USSR.
I would say that perhaps the 2nd most famous appearance by Mary was at Fatima in 2017, Where she appeared to 3 peasant children on several occasions, she gave the time and date of her last appearance Anne literally hundreds of onlookers turned out to witness this visitation. I think it was priests among them, who begged for a sign that all could see, and something happened to the sun.
It seemed to dip right down towards the earth, it was unmistakably something supernatural, and it was seen by hundreds of people Anne reported widely in all the local newspapers at the time. So it wasn't something that was seen just by a few diluted Corbin enraptured religious children. Now Fatima has always been a topic of great interest Catholics. And a matter of intrigue as well because Mary left 3 promises to those children in connection with the future of the world.
And the 3rd promise was supposedly so frightening that the oldest of the children who in due course became a nun declined to reveal it in fact, for the rest of her life, but at the order of Anne of her superiors, she wrote it down, and this was passed on to the pope in 1943. That pope died without revealing it, and the next one didn't reveal it, but it was expected that Pope John Paul 2 would disclose the frightening contents of this letter in 1980 Anne he didn't.
It has been sort of released now, but I will come back to that later. Was kind of published in around 2000. Oh, and incidentally, if you recall, there was an attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II on 13th May 1981, and that was exactly 64 years. After the first apparition of Mary at Fatima. There was another Marion apparition in Poland This one's far less well known. Although it merits a great deal of attention, it happened in 1920 Anne it's known as the miracle on the vistula.
It happened not long after the end of the Great War, 1914 to 1918, and the Russian revolution, which was in 1917. The Russians were advancing on warsaw because the war between them and Poland hadn't actually finished at this stage. The Polish army was outnumbered 10 to 1. Lennon in Russia wanted to bring about a world communist Revolution, and his first conquest had been the Ukraine. Poland was next on the list.
So the newly created red army came over the border from Ukraine into Poland on May 20th, 1920. This was the first step in his conquest or his intended conquest of, Central And Western Europe. Nobody came to Poland's aid, although they were crying out for help from everybody. Only a miracle could pass saved them, and so they prayed. They were led by the bishops, and Poland is still very Catholic Anne At the time, I think it was the most Catholic country in Europe. They held processions.
They filled the churches. They had vigils. All night vigils and fasting, groups and prayers and so forth. And on August 15th, which happens to be the feast of the assumption. Above the Red Army there appeared a vision of the Madonna who is now referred to as our lady of Chester Hover. The Russians saw this and fled to the Vistula River, and the Polish were able somehow to beat them back. They managed to do disrupt the communications of the Russians completely.
And Lennon himself admitted that his army suffered an enormous feet, which he could not explain. Hence, it's known as the miracle on the vistula. It called a halt to Lennon's plans for world revolution. And just incidentally, This Polish resistance, sort of 6 months' worth of it, happened at the same time that John Paul II was born because he was Polish, if you recall, and he was born in May 1920.
Back to the apparition in 1987 in Harusha, Ukraine, our lady warned Again, that we must pray for Russia. She said, oppression and wars continued to occupy the minds and hearts of many people. Russia despite everything continues to deny my son. Russia rejects real life and continues to live in darkness. If there is not a return of Christianity to Russia, there will be a 3rd world war and the whole world faces ruin.
And in that third prophecy of Fatima, Eventually released in 2000, the children's vision describes an old man in a white robe presumably the pope or the holy father, with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow walking through a half destroyed city. It talks about many deaths and the blood of martyrs.
Now As I mentioned, Pope John Paul II was expected to divulge this 3rd secret in 1980, but declined to do so on the grounds that he did not wish to encourage the worldwide power of Communism to carry out certain coups that's spelled c o u p s. He said that knowing about a predicted catastrophe was of no use if you were unable stop it. Also, that the answer was to pray, pray, pray, ask for nothing else and put the answer in the hands of the mother of god.
Now there's much speculation that the Vatican great reveal in 2000 was merely a censored version of sister Lucia, of what sister Lucia wrote down so long ago. The Catholic church, I'm afraid to say, is notorious for not telling the whole truth. But in conclusion, whether you call it meditation affirmation, communion with god or just plain praying?
