Founding Member - Ken Neilson
Episode description
We hear from founding member Ken Neilson and his recollection of forming the Alumni Association of HMCS Quadra. Ken provided guidance and encouragement to all founding members in the development of the organization.
Ken has an amazing memory of the development of Flotilla and specifically Group North, he tells some great tales from his days working in the Desolation Sound area. Ken in his civilian life was a long serving employee with the City of Victoria, the Director of Engineering and the first full-time Emergency Coordinator for the City before moving on to another career as a consultant in Emergency Planning.
