Jennifer Toon was a juvenile offender in the state of Texas at age 15. She then spent about 20 years in prison. She was released about 5 years ago and now works for THE COALITION OF TEXANS WITH DISABILITIES as a criminal justice and mental health advocate in addition to being a published writer. She is the author of: "Invisible Scars" published in The Texas Observer.
