Obeying Man or God?

As Christians are we to obey man or God? We should definitely obey God before man. In Acts 5:17-29 it explains how all twelve apostles were in prison but God let them all out. Once the apostles were released they went back to the temple to preach to the others just as God wanted them to do. The officers of the temple had to be careful when they would take them away because they knew if they took the apostles harshly it would cause a riot.
