Episode description

In this special episode of GRADitude, Sarah and Gabby discuss when it happened to them and their experiences handling it. First, they define burnout, a loss of meaning in one's work coupled with physical and mental exhaustion as a result of unresolved stress. Both Sarah and Gabby discuss their first experience with burnout which started during their first semester in PT school during midterms. Gabby also touches on how she's been handling burnout during this time of COVID-19. When dealing with burnout, they recommend verbalizing your issues with a closed loved one and doing self-care tasks such as taking a day trip or doing things you find fulfilling so that you can re-energize.
