Episode description

This week Mike and Lara tackle another patron’s choice with Noriko’s Dinner Table. This early 2000s Japanese horror film is a master class in psychological horror as it explores two young sisters experiencing loneliness after getting pulled into a cult. While the intentions of the cult seem pure, their actions lead to horrific murder and mass suicide. Patron Holly joins us to talk about why she chose this movie and how much it impacted her as a young adult. For our mental health discussion we examine how cults and fundamental groups lure unsuspecting persons and prey on the lonely and vulnerable.
