Noir, pas black

Ne m'appelle pas black quand je suis noire

Guerric et Amandine sont noirs et ils n'aiment pas trop qu'on les appelle "black ". Né comme eux dans les années 80, l'anglicisme "black" est censé désigner les personnes noires en France. Derrière son masque cool et funky, le mot cache un vrai malaise dénoncé ici avec humour et des extraits salés.

 

"Noir" not black - Guerric and Amandine are black but they refuse to be defined by the English word, preferring the French word "noir". Having entered the French language in the 1980s, when Amandine and Guerric were coming into the world, "black" has a cool, funky façade that overruns legitimate misgivings and is exposed here with humor and caustic clips.
