Hello, my name is Iain Campbell-McKenna, and this is “Procurement in 5-minutes.” That’s right, in 5-minutes I promise to tackle some of the biggest challenges and deepest questions our profession and industry face on a day-to-day basis.

In today’s procurement in 5 minutes, I am thrilled to be joined by Dave Jones, the Head of Procurement for IT and digital at Virgin Media O2. 

Dave has been working in procurement for over a decade and has firsthand experience with the common issues that many job candidates face today, AI Bias. While AI is certainly a game-changer in many industries, it's not helping candidates find new roles. Almost 90% of employers use filters or ranking systems in their recruitment systems to select potential candidates, and these systems are hindering our recruitment efforts. Even when a candidate meets all the requirements, they are overlooked due to keyword mismatches.
