From 1974 - 1979 -through execution, starvation, disease, and forced labor, Communist Dictator Pol Pot and The Khmer Rouge were behind the driving force of Cambodia’s labor camps. Also known as The Killing Fields, an estimated 2 million Cambodians were killed at the hands of the Khmer Rouge. Learn about Cambodia’s history and hear my mom and her family’s stories of war, genocide, and their saamnang “luck”  to survive during Khmer Rouge Regime. Inspired by 2 Khmerican Sisters, this special episode is dedicated to Cambodia and the millions of souls who were killed.
