All righty, let's do this. Strap on in, kiddos, and welcome to the Monday edition, first show of the month of February. Here in the Morning Show with Preston Scotti's Ose. I am Preston. I hope you're doing well. I hope you had a nice weekend. Weather was beautiful, generally it was I'm just waiting. I'm waiting for the pollen to fall. I just we got our covers up on our screen porch. I'll explain that story one day and for those of you that have a screened in porch, maybe you'll do

what we did. I don't know, but anyway, we welcome you to the broadcast, and as we like to do, we start with scripture. Psalm fifty nine, verse sixteen says, but I will sing of your strength. I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning, for you have been a fortress and a refuge in my day of distress. I think it's pretty self explanatory, but there's a little thing buried in there that I want to just tap into, and it's the words in the morning,

because I think it buttresses. Look, you can't go wrong singing to and about and of God, you just can't. But there is something about starting your day with it. There is one of two things happening at the start of my day as I drive to work. I'm praying, but I will on occasion along with that, I'll have some praise and worship on. Sometimes it's a CD I've got. Sometimes I'm popping up the iHeartRadio app where I can list any artist, any group in the world of Christian

music and just turn it loose. But the bottom line is in the morning, there's something about that reset that helps you sort of anchor your day. We talked about anchoring last week, anchoring your day in praise. There's just and worship. There's something about that. If you've never done it, give it a shot. Now, really give it a shot. Go for it. I mean, really, you think something bad's gonna come of you praising God? Ten past the hour inside the American Patriots Almanac. We go next on the

Morning Show with Preston Scott. This is the Preston Scott Show. Now let's first go backwards to yesterday. It was Groundhog Day. Punks, Tawny Phil saw his shadow, which myth says means six more weeks of winter. I understand tradition. I get it. But given that historically that forecast is wrong, just just follow my logic here, and longtime listeners know where I'm going. I have long below leaved that if you see the shadow,

it's the other way around that spring's coming. Now we're not talking eighty twenty here, we're talking something like fifty five sixty percent of the time. It's the opposite. So when he says six more weeks, fifty five sixty percent of the time, give or take, it isn't it's spring coming a little early, which makes sense to me because if he sees his shadow, it's a sunny day. If

he doesn't see a shadow, it's overcast. And given that it's wrong more than it's right, if you just reverse it, you'll be right more than you're wrong, and everybody's happy. That's been my I have. And look, I did interviews with Punk Satawny Phil back in the nineteen eighties in Radio and Phoenix. It was brilliant. I had a hookup to the Burrow. Phil may Or may not have sounded a little bit like a chipmunk, I'm just saying, but it was brilliant. I ran the idea by him, worked

for him, but he's not in charge. He just shows up. Everybody else gets it wrong. So I'm just saying he saw a shadow that means there was sunshine. They think it means six more weeks of winter. We'll see, We'll see that puts us in the middle of March. Could be, That's all I'm saying. Could be. So yesterday was Groundhog Day. Today's February third, sixteen ninety Massachusetts authorizes the first paper

currency issued in America. Nineteen thirteen, the sixteenth Amendment authorizing a federal income tax is ratified, and boy did they get that wrong. And look what's happened. They just take more and more. That's one of the reasons why Trump selected to stop it and roll it back. Nineteen seventeen, United States breaks off diplomatic relations with Germany after a German submarine sinks the Hugh Satonic off the coast of Sicily.

Nineteen forty three, Army transport ship Dorchester sinks after being hit by a German torpedo. And it was on this date in nineteen fifty nine that the music died. You ever heard the song Don McLean American Pie, It's about today that song is about the day that Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and JP the Big Bopper Richardson died in a plane crash in Iowa avoidable. Was it Merle Haggard that tagged out on that trip and gave his seat up and ended up not on that plane? I think

it somebody in the world of country music survived. He was in one of the bands. And yeah, crazy, just crazy how things work sometimes. Today is also Four Chaplains Day. Fascinating story there. It's honoring four chaplains from World War II sacrifice their lives. Additionally, today is National Missing Person's Day, National Carrot Cake Day. Carrot cakes a thing of beauty. And so there you go, seventeen past the hour. We're all caught up back with more of the Morning Show

with Preston Scott's. Nice to know you're all paying attention. Well done, ruminators. Yeah, my email box is blowing up. It is. It was not Merle Hager, it was Waylon Jennings. I'm not a big country music person. I mean I know the names. I mean everyone knows about you know, Lukenbock Texas with Whalon and Willie and the Boys. I mean, come on, Whalen. Of course it's not Merl Haggard. Anyway.

The story goes that before their performance in clear Lake, Iowa, Buddy Holly chartered a four seat Beachcraft Bonanza from Dwire Flying Service in Mason City, Iowa for himself, Waylon Jennings, Tommy Alsop to avoid the long bus trip following the show, which ended around midnight. Alsip lost a coin toss and

gave up his seat to Richie Valen's. Jennings voluntarily gave up his seat to J. P. Richardson the Big Bopper, who was suffering from the flu and complaining about how cold and uncomfortable the tour bus was for a man his size, Like the airplane's going to be better. I guess he felt like it would be quicker, which, of

course it would have been. However, Yeah, when Holly learned that his bandmates had given up their seats on the plane and chosen to take the bus, a little friendly banter between Holly and Jennings ensued, come back to haunt Jennings for decades to follow. Holly jokingly told Jennings, well, I hope your bus freezes up. Jennings jokingly replied, well, I hope your plane crashes. That didn't age well. Ninety minutes later, it crashed in a cornfield outside Mason, Mason City, Iowa.

So yeah, boy, you'd never know, right, all right. We talked about it when it was going to open the Star Wars Hotel, the Star Wars Galactic Star Creuse Cruiser. Did you know about that?

Speaker 2

Oh?

Speaker 1

Yeah, and I prayed for its downfall the whole entire time. Well it's down. Oh I Christmas came early? Yeah? Why why did you? Why did you want it to close? I'm just I just have a disdain for Disney because they ruined Star Wars. I used to be a big time Star Wars fan. Well I'm still a fan, just not of a lot of the new stuff movies. And yeah, there's so much potential, but they ruined it. Yeah, too

much wokeism. They're converting it it. In case you didn't know, the hotel was a five thousand dollars for two people for two nights experience where you literally lived a Star Wars story while you were there. You were in the story, it was happening around you. It was an immersive experience. It covered food, it covered your lodging, it covered it was an all inclusive kind of thing. But two days

dad gum five grand, come on, that's poof. And I guess it just they didn't They didn't market that thing real well. And and perhaps the people that have that money are the people that say int wokeism, and so they're converting it into offices for their imagineering department, which if you're going to retrofit the building, okay, there you go, that makes some sense. But here's what happens. You don't

often see Disney fail. You just don't. I think I think Jose is onto something with the fact that Disney It's its revenues are down, at least they had been. I don't know where they are recently, because honestly, I kind of quit paying attention because I don't care. And it's a shame because the Disney brand is iconic, and Walt Disney would be rolling in his grave over the things that have happened to his company from a DEI woke,

ridiculous standpoint. The creativity of that company, though, is just you know, it's still they still hold patents that the world wants, but Disney's got him because they they've got some serious chops in that company still, but it's just sullied because of their philosophy and ideology. Twenty seven pass Let's do some news. Big stories in the press box are next here on the Morning Show with Prescot Scott.

Speaker 3

News Radio one hundred point seven Wuflay.

Speaker 1

Thirty six past the hour. Big stories of the press box, snapshot stuff here. We're not deep diving because we just we don't have time to deep dive into all And you're like, what do you mean, You've got the whole stinking show. Yeah, but that's not what we do. You know, if we if we have just one or two big stories, we'll take a little more time. But Trump is unleashing the tariffs on Mexico, camp and China twenty five, twenty five,

and ten respectively. And you might be thinking, wait what And then you're hearing all the noise out there in the mainstream media, and what you need to understand is there are reasons for these and they're more punitive than

anything else. They are to punish, they're not. Yeah, there's some there's some imbalances there, but Trump is pointing out US banks aren't allowed in Canada, that they don't allow our farm products in They've been difficult to deal with on oil and energy, largely because they're socialist and woke. We allow everything in. Basically, they don't allow anything in, and that we subsidize the name to the tune of

two hundred billion dollars a year. And he's simply asking, I quote and for what what do we get out of it? And so I was asked a few times yesterday what do you what do you make of this? I told you it was going to be a little difficult coming in that there was a mess in front of us. This is part of the mess. He's tired of what's going on at the border north and south, and so he's gonna he is bringing what they're going to realize real quickly is fine, put a terrify on things.

You know, Chuck Schumer's out there. It'll cost the average American seventeen hundred dollars a year, the average family. Yeah, and what did the last four years of Biden cost us? Maybe ten grand? This will not end up being long term.

I believe this is meant to bring them to the table because they're going to realize, Yeah, America pretty much consumes a lot of what it produces and they don't really have to have our stuff, but we kind of have to have theirs, and they'll sit down with Trump's people and say, Okay, what do we need to do, and then we'll make progress. This is about swinging the pendulum the other way. Panama, classic example, Marco Rubio makes it his first trip. We're going to Panama and we're

having a talk. Panama's president comes out and says, we are not we are not renewing the deal with China. We will remain sovereign, but we will get out of that deal, will not renew it, and we will work with our partner that built this thing. Because seventy two seventy three percent of the ships that travel through that are traveling to and from America. They have seen the wisdom of sitting down with us FDA escalating a Walmart broccoli recall, it's the highest level the twelve ounce market

side broccoli florettes. Now here's why I mention it. It does not affect Florida. But what it does affect is the states of and you might have family and friends. It's primarily Central and West Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah washing in Wyoming. So there there is a recall of the twelve ounce market side broccoli florets for literally

we're talking risk of death. Similarly, the FDA has ill elevated a recall of Las potato chips as in the good old yellow bag Classic Lays. And this one is because there was an handful sixty three hundred bags of their thirteen ounce potato chip bag and that's that medium size, not the big family size, but it has a guaranteed fresh date of February eleventh, twenty twenty five. Now there's some manufacturing codes in this that I'm just I'm not

going to read. I'm simply going to tell you that it had contact with milk products for some reason, the potatoes that were used or whatever. And we're talking about milk being won one of the big ones that people that are allergic to milk they consume a dairy product, they're in trouble. And so we're talking constriction of breathing and loss of consciousness in the whole nine yards because of milk allergies. So they've got a hotline set up. Free do lay. The bottom line is check the fresh date.

It is guaranteed fresh date of February eleventh, this year, twenty twenty five. If it has that, I personally just pitched the thing. It's a bag of chips, you know, throw it out. But if in doubt, you know, look it up, free do lay recall and you'll get the phone number there forty two past the hour, run and late. It's okay, it's all right, everybody remain calm.

Speaker 1

My wife and I had a conversation about the voice of Yoda over the weekend. Did you know that the voice of Yoda's the voice of Miss Piggy and the voice of Fazzy Bear from the Muppets. Yeah, frank Oz. Frank Oz is the voice of both or all three and us. But those are his big ones. And if you listen to Fazzy Bear, you'll hear Yoda. You will. They just reversed the words. The words are a little kind of twisted around a little bit. But if you'll

never you'll never hear it the same. It's kind of like when you realize that Tony the Tiger was the singer of mister Grinch, your mean one. That's Tony the Tiger. That's thorough Ravenscroft. That's the same guy who did the Tony the Tiger, the Tony the Tiger voice. For years. San Jose State University had the dude playing volleyball and against the women, and it's center piece of a lawsuit they have asked. They have not renewed the contract of

the assistant volleyball coach, Melissa Smoos. She spoke out against what was going on. She said, we didn't make the decision to move our family across the country lightly, but I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I was meant to be at San Jose State to stand up for these young women and do everything I could to protect future generations. In my thirty years of coaching, this is one of the most amazing groups of young

women I've ever been around. Their strength and resiliency during a difficult season was inspiring in one of the reasons I had to take a stand. So she has filed a Title nine complaint against the university. The university in turn, has let her go. That will be I'm sure part of a lawsuit down the road. She's part of a lawsuit now filed by one or two of their players. Speaking out to protect these young women in the future

and future women was too much to ignore. It has cost me my job, but we need more coaches to stand up for what is right. I just have to pray that by doing the right thing that justice will prevail and I'll be able to continue to do what I was meant to do, which is coach. She is in that lawsuit against San Jose in the Mountain West Conference, along with eleven current and former players, and it's all because we have cowards. We have cowards running these athletic

conferences and these universities, and it's pitiful. How hard is this? It isn't forty seven minutes past getting caught up here back with more interview with Zach Cass coming up. I'll tell you about it in the next It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott five two fifty two minutes past the hour. We are grateful to be with you this morning, another day in Paradise known as The Morning Show with Preston Scott. Great to be with you. It's February the

third will be had a nice weekend. We celebrated one of our boys birthdays this weekend, my son Jordan. I just it's it's very difficult for me to say his age. It just is all of my kids. It's just, man, where does the time go? Listen to me. Now, if you're a parent with littles, you treasure that time with your children because it's gonna be gone before you know it. The countdown is on. See it's it's like it could be.

It could be till they're eighteen, it could be nineteen twenty, twenty one, twenty four, but the countdown, the counter begins going down when they're born. The time you've got with them, where they're in your home with you and you have this constant repartee, it just yeah. Anyway, it was. It was a delight to celebrate his birthday. And Jordan, you know, we love you so very much, so very proud of the man you are, you are and how much you

love Jesus, and it just it blesses me. All right, Coming up next hour, I courted this interview with Zach Cass a few days ago. Zak is the keynote speaker at the Power Forward Speaker Series event coming up on February twelfth. It's a week from Wednesday. Tickets are selling out fast and so you can go online and get them, or you can listen and try to win. I'm going to share the interview and then I'm gonna que you.

If you call before I Q you, you're wasting your time because we're not gonna take calls that come before I ask for them. Jose will learn the art of clearing the phone lines and hanging up on all of you. But we're going to give someone a chance to win a grand prize, which is a pair of tickets behind the scenes vip passes where you'll meet zach and ioe you for his new book, The Next Renaissance AI and the Expansion of Human Potential. He spent fourteen years best

described as a strategist with Open AI. He is now described as a futurist as it relates to this technology, and so he does consulting work and so forth. But he'll be coming to town speaking to business owners entrepreneurs. If you ever wanted to start a business, this is for you. This is to take a peek at what he sees coming, what he's seen come and how it all merges together. So we'll air that interview in just

a few minutes. Here on the program, local newspaper writing a very sympathetic, almost like oh be careful, kind of kind of piece on illegal immigrants in the area. Yeah, I someone write the show, and he wrote something pretty funny, as he always does. He said, if I was in Russia illegally and wanted to stay there, would I make Would it make sense for me to be protesting while waving a flag. That's how brazen illegal immigrants are in

this country. They think they have the right to stay here and they just simply do not my commentary for the first part of the week, I might let it last for the week. I might leave it out there for a while. Came across a piece shared by Grant Allen with me on what is the difference in where we are where we ought to be. We're not a nation of immigrants, We're a nation of settlers, and we're going to take some time to explore that later on this week, where a nation of settlers and immigrants choose

to take part of the society that settlers have set up. Anyway, our two Zach cass My visit with him next, Welcome back the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Great to be with you this morning. Uh if you are not aware, coming up on Wednesday, February twelfth, three point thirty Ruby Diamond Concert Hall is the Power Forward Speaker Series. It's

the eleventh installment. It's in partnership with FSU's Division of Research and they are bringing to town wait for it, Zach Cass, futurist and now my guest here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Zach, how are you sir?

Speaker 4

Great?

Speaker 2

Thanks for having me till I've.

Speaker 1

Got to know before we start talking about the event a little bit and what kind of led you down this path you're in in your career and in your life. How do you come up with I mean, that is a bold thing to put on the business card, futurist.

Speaker 2

That's when that's I'm glad you asked. Listen. We I run an advisory firm, so at this point you know the title of my business card is CEO of ZKI Advisory and we work with Global Fortune one thousand. In governments, the term that gets people excited to come listen to a talk is usually futurist and because of my work at the University of Virginia in sort of future studies. You can you know I could bend an academic title

in the same way. I cannot tell you that I am, by any definition precisely deserving of the title, but it does give some credit to the work that I do.

Speaker 1

Now tell me about that path for you, Zach, where did it start? Was there like a thing that pushed you towards this direction.

Speaker 2

I went to Berkeley and I studied history and computer science. Graduated during the midst of the global financial crisis, and it took the only job I could get at the time in San Francisco, which was for a company called CrowdFlower. Eventually became known as Figure eight and it sold to Appen. Some people know it. It was a machine learning company, and that's how I cut my teeth professionally, and I never left machine learning. And then machine learning gave way to

you know AI. It basically was statistical machine learning, which gave way to neural nets and modern AI. And I cannot tell you that I had much prescience or that this was a really prescriptive path, but it certainly played out nicely. And then my sort of fashion and fascination with the science and now the cultural and organizational implications. Have you presented a pretty exciting career.

Speaker 1

Do you remember the first time or where you were when you heard the words artificial intelligence? What was the context?

Speaker 2

That's a good question. I tell you the first time it would have been when I was a child, right, I mean, we've been using the term artificial intelligence for quite some time.

Speaker 1

You know.

Speaker 2

The closest thing that I can think of would probably be in a film. And if I had to guess what film it was as a kid, you know, sky Net could be up there, Terminator certainly, sure will Smith's films, but by the same name in a professional setting. The first time I heard it was probably certainly when I was at you know, when I was applying to jobs and CrowdFlower talk to me about what data labling was? Was human data labling was used for?

Speaker 1

When did the academic background and the learning and your career, what you were doing. When did it get to a place where you started the sense okay, the potential of AI and business in people's everyday life.

Speaker 2

When you know, when we were doing a crowd flower is provides training or provided training data for companies building these large statistical machine learning models. And what all you really need to know about these models is that stytigical machine learning was so expensive because it required so much data and so much compute, and it wasn't very good, so the efficacy was so low that only the really big,

really well funded companies were doing it. And you knew at the time that if companies could have access to this, it would become far more prolific, because companies like Facebook were selling ads better, Google was you know, distributing the information on the Internet better. Amazon was doing demand forecasting

and search better. But I don't think it became really obvious to me until twenty nineteen when I first saw GUBT two that was open aiyes third products, and that probably was the moment for me where it became clear that neural nets were going to win, that in fact, statistical machine learning was not the right architecture, and that all the people you know who had been making a case for neural nets were right, and the natural A processing was going to be the future, and that we

were on this incredible new trajectory. And then obviously GBT three, for a lot of reasons, really excited me, and that was the moment that I started telling people, Hey, your lives are going to be very different in five years.

Speaker 1

More with Zach Cass Next on The Morning Show with Preston Scott, Zach Cass is coming to Tallahassee. He will be speaking Wednesday, February twelfth, the Power Forward Speakers Series, coming back to Ruby Diamond Auditorium at three thirty in the afternoon. You can get your tickets tickets dot f SU dot edu is where you get them. He joins us for just a few more minutes here this morning, kind of laying a path for what you can expect. So I'm curious you do this type of thing. You

talk with businesses. You mentioned that you consult with companies. How frequently now are you needing to kind of adjust and change what you're sharing because of how fast this technology is moving.

Speaker 2

Part of the reason that the advisory business I run is so successful now and part of the reason that I get to travel around the world. You know, as I mentioned, I'm currently on my honeymoon in Courchevel. And the reason we're here is because I spoke at Davos. And the reason I spoke at Davos is because while there are many people who want to talk about AI.

There are many people, There are many of those of us who are staring at it for this long and actually have sort of used this technology to this degree, and so a lot of what is required now is just context switching and updating information presents every day, knowing how it fits into the broader scheme. What's real, what's not? You know that's now a full time job, and uh yeah, it's I mean, it's a blast. It just it requires it requires quite a bit of attention and compute computational power.

Speaker 1

What is your best guess on what you see as the potential pitfalls? What are businesses going to need to navigate to avoid inside this new.

Speaker 2

World in the interest of your listeners. I think I would. I think I'll answer this question slightly differently. Businesses are going to have a couple of problems. We can talk about those. I think the pitfalls are actually probably more societal. Okay, I'll answer it, I'll be fair, I'll answer it, and then I'll answer the other question. Companies are going to struggle to realize that it's not about AI per se.

Making it about AIM does a disservice to the actual change that's coming fusion, quantum computing, these technologies are are are around the corner and simply staring at AI and saying we're going to update to this technology right now.

Speaker 5

You know, it's not.

Speaker 2

Actually future proofing your company in any real way. Okay, So I think companies are going to get stuck because they're not going to update to the paradigm shifts. They're going to hire people who are very, very insistent that they practice to study a job to become a very specific kind of employee, and that if their job changes, it won't be good for them. And I think we're just going to be mired in this massive, colossal change management issue which some companies will navigate very well and

others won't. And it's not actually the technology that's going to make or break a company, it's the people within it and their willingness to update to the fact that the world is just changing so much now for society. Of the pitfalls and I think this is far more interesting.

Are probably going to come down to one dehumanization. This idea that you know some this is my theory that some percentage of the population will at some point have a greater interest in a virtual reality than a physical one. He talks to the audience a lot about that, and then the other. And I think this is one that we just we have to talk about early and often

as identity displacements. Right, so many people are fixated on the economic implications of job automation, when in fact, almost certainly the deflationary result of that is going to be economically good for everyone. It won't, however, serve most of us emotionally, and it will leave many people, if not all of us, feeling some sense of loss in our

professional identities. And what we do because of that will sort of determine how well we come out of this next chapter and how well we design our lives for the future.

Speaker 1

Can't wait to hear you share what you're going to share. I would imagine it's a unique challenge when you've got entrepreneurs, business owners, and within that realm you've got all different types of businesses and industries that are sitting in listening to your your thoughts on what AI is going to look like, not just now but in the future. Zach, thanks for making time for us this morning. I appreciate it very much.

Speaker 2

Yeah, thank you again. I appreciate you making time. Pressed and seeing a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1

Thank you, sir. Zach casts with us and again it's the Power Forward Speakers series. It's coming to Ruby Diamond Auditorium on Wednesday, February twelfth at three point thirty. Get your tickets. This is going to be an interesting one. Can't wait to hear him talk. I mean, he touched on it the Societal Challenges. Fascinating tickets dot f SU, dot edu. Hope you enjoyed our visit with Zach. Fourteen years with open AI right there, dead set in the middle of all of the AI stuff. Now think about it.

He's not with them now. He's doing his own independent consulting meeting with businesses. He was speaking in Davos. They wanted to hear what he had to say. That tells you that when this stuff was in its formative developmental stage, he was in those meetings. He was there, he was guiding some of those discussions. It's gonna be a really interesting talk because AI's coming. It's gonna happen. It already is. I watched a trailer for a segment, not a trailer.

I watched a segment of a Star Wars movie that was never made, that was done by some dude using AI, and it featured Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, Liam Neeson, Hayden Christiansen, Ewan McGregor. I mean it was it was all of them. It was person after person talking about us the transformation, and it was all done with AI. And it was it was like, wait did they shoot this at the time and then cobble it together? Was this a scene about the the movement of Darth Vader

from evil to good that they never showed? It was crazy. AI is already impacting business like anything else technology. It can be bad and it can be incredible. So what we're going to do is we're going to give two of you a chance to go to the event. One of you is the grand prize winner. One of you will get to go to the event. You're going to be second. So the first two callers eight five zero two zero five WFLA right now. But you have to be willing and able to commit to going to the event.

I don't want to waste these tickets if you can't go. It is next Wednesday at three point thirty here in Tallahassee at FSU's Ruby Diamond Auditorium. So the first two callers, and here's how it's going to work. The first caller is going to be our grand prize winner. You're going to get the tickets.

Speaker 2

And.

Speaker 1

You're going to get the backstage passes to meet Zach, and you're going to get an IOU for a book. The book is The Next Renaissance AI and the Expansion of Human Potential by Zach. The book's coming out, so you'll get an ioe you to redeem for the book. Very simple. So I believe we have our two winners, and so we are set. If you're calling in now too late, sorry, we have our two winners, and so congratulations.

Remember grand prize is getting two tickets to the event, backstage passes to meet Zach, little hobnobbing, and you're going to get an IOU for the book. Second place is going to get tickets to the event. So it's as simple as that, and so congratulations. My thanks to First Commerce Credit Union, of course they bring us this event every year. It is I think the most impactful business

event in the region because it is about ideas. It's about jumping on the back of people that have been there and done that and listening to their wisdom and experience. It's always a terrific event. And if you didn't get a chance to win the tickets, I'm suggesting you go online right now because there are a few left, but there aren't many. Go to tickets dot FSU dot edu. Back with more of the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Congratulations to our winners and enjoy the event, and to the rest of you, get your tickets. Power Forward Speaker Series ZAT casts next Wednesday at three thirty. Go to tickets dot FSU dot edu. Simple as that. Big stories in the press box. As we are halfway through the program, We're going to take some calls next hour on a story that I brought up last week on California, and I'll be curious to hear your thoughts, but we'll we'll set that up and

talk about it in just a little bit. We've got a couple of FDA recalls now. The broccoli recall Walmart Brockli is a Level one recall, which means risk of death. Yeah,

that ought to get your attention. Now. It doesn't impact us in Florida, and as I'm looking at the list, it does not impact Georgia, but if you have friends or family in Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, you might let them know to do a

little checking. Twelve ounce packages of marketside broccoli florettes. It is Braga Fresh is the maker, and there is a recall, and it is very very very important to get those things off of and out of freezers. Yes, freezers. Isn't it crazy that something in a freezer could be heated up and kill you. You'd think the freezing would kill it whatever, huh huh. Nope. It's like I saw a picture of a frozen rattlesnake, seriously from this last snowstorm, frozen rattlesnake,

and they're like, don't touch that thing. It could very well be totally alive. It's just frozen in place, but it doesn't mean it's dead. Kind Of like that with the broccoli. Think of it as a rattlesnake. You don't want to touch it. So spread the word on that

second recall lays potato chips. Now, this is another level one recall and it involves not a lot, but sixty three hundred and some change bags of the thirteen ounce Lays classic potato chips in the yellow bag because it has the potential of a life threatening risk for consumers with milk allergies. Somewhere it came in contact with dairy. Maybe it was the potatoes, you know, before they were cooked after. I have no idea, It doesn't matter. The

recall is underway. The guaranteed fresh date where you can identify these bags is February eleventh, twenty twenty five. Now there are manufacturing codes as well you can reach. You can just look up Fredo lay Lay's recall and you'll get the intel. There's a one eight hundred number. All right. Panama pledging to end the deal on the Panama Canal with China. This is significant. It's fifty one mile waterway.

President of Panama, Jose Raoul Molino. Are you the President of pan Maybe Jose said he wasn't going to renew the twenty seventeen Memorandum of Understanding to join China's Belt and Road global development initiative, and the President is pledge to work now closely with the United States. I guess the threat of just taking it didn't work out well for him, and weighing and measuring what he should do,

he decided, yeah, we'll work with you. Look seventy roughly three quarters of all shipping going through that one way or the other is either two or from America. It just makes sense. You can't give China control of that. You just can't. They can't have any say, no influence, after all, we basically built it. And then speaking of the United States, this matters. You really need to understand the whole tariff situation. Tonight at midnight, I guess is

the night. It's now. They've gotten till tonight to sit down and have talks and figure it out. Twenty five percent tariff on Canadian goods coming into the country, Mexican goods coming into the country. I mean, just think of what onyx chests nets are going to cost. Sorry, it's okay, folks. This is part of the mess that we've inherited that we got to clean up. And so there's ten percent tariff on China. This is all about getting people to sit down and put things in place that make more sense.

Trump's not gonna let us get bullied. He's going to collect the money's owed to us, and he's going to lower taxes. And look it, I told you prices could spike a little bit on this. It's all right. We don't buy much from Canada. We really don't buy all that much from Mexico. That's going to matter. Democrats are out there saying, oh, it's going to raise the prices of Americans. They had nothing to say over the last four years of Biden, which is absurd, the money that

we've been hit with. I believe this is temporary. It's to force them to come to the table. It's okay. Forty one minutes after a personal story to share. Next it's the Morning Show, prest In Scott's. We've seen them. Some of you use one motorized wheelchairs. I'm not talking about the carts that help people that struggle with various infirmities, joint issues, that use them in shopping centers where they take the charged ones and just use them while they're shopping.

We're not talking about that, talking about people that are in a wheelchair. Some of them have developmental issues, some of them have issues that are so extreme physically that they need a motorized wheelchair to go here and there, and most our sharpest attack, they just have a condition that challenges them physically and neurologically. I think all of us have great sympathy and empathy for people that are struggling like that, right, But every now and then you

see somebody and you just wonder, don't you. I mean, you know, it's not that different than you see someone that has a handicapped tag and they're just they're they're running to the store and back. They're they're not handicapped, well, but they drive somebody well, but that person's not in

the car with them. What difference? I mean, you don't take the handicapped spot if you're not a handicapped, even if you're the driver, unless the passenger is getting out and is handicapped, and then that makes perfect sense, no problem. But we've seen it, We've seen people take advantage and abuse that. But what I saw happen the other day just I laughed and I was like, the lady was just you could just see it on her face. She just had that entitled look on her face. So she

pulls up to the corner. It's a four it's a stoplight four directions with the pedestrian crossing signals as well, which signal whether it's time to walk across, which would mean it's time to motor across as well if you're in a wheelchair. Right. Oh, nay, nay. She wanted no part of that. So after a momentary touch of the break, she was off and cars are slamming on their brakes to keep from killing her because she didn't pay any attention to the fact that you have a red flashing,

don't you, dare Go. It wasn't a countdown flash of ten nine eight, it was no. She didn't care, and so I admit I watched in my rearview mirrors. She almost got hit. She forced cars to slam on the brakes, and she would have been the cause, and she was oblivious to it, and she had that attitude. She was not challenged. She was fully aware of what was going on around her. It just was on her face attitude,

you're stopping for me. It didn't matter that she could have been killed, it didn't matter that she could have caused a wreck. It just it's just another one of those symptoms of where we are with our culture today. Me me, me, MEIII. It's just it's crazy. So Memoto people and motorized wheelchairs. Those lights apply to YouTube. Just say it forty seven past the hour. I can't believe we're almost to the third hour already. Where has time gone? Hey,

good morning friends, thanks for joining us. As always the Morning Show with Preston Scott, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, males and females only, We welcome you to the show. Ruminators, near and far. I looked it up. Trump is offering buyouts to federal workers. You are not interested in returning to the office, You've got until the end of the week to resign. Actually Thursday, I think it is, yeah, Thursday.

The way it works is players employees who want to resign select reply to an email, apply to your government account. On your government account. If you reply from any other accounts not going to be accepted. You type the word resign and hit send White House, expecting five to ten percent of federal employees to accept the offer. The offer is you're going to get paid through September thirtieth, give you almost what nine months to figure out what you

want to do? Eight months. It could save taxpayers one hundred billion dollars a year. It's a smart plan. It is part of what I recommended we would do. I told you it was going to be rough, that this is this transition. And if Trump does what he's been thinking for four years about doing, if Congress stands firm and we deliver it to the American people, Republicans can run this country for eight, twelve, sixteen years and beyond and really fix some things. But the messaging has to

be there. There cannot be interference. We've got to have a chance to enact smart, bold policies to get the government shrunk down. It's like a tumor that needs to be reduced in size. If Trump can grow the private sector, grow manufacturing, lower energy costs, prices will eventually come down or at least stabilize, while we bring revenues up, while we lower the tax burden that gives you more disposable income,

we change the tax paying stratus will or structure. We're gonna get to that, by the way, later on this week, we're gonna talk with the president offair, tax dot Org coming on the show, So that's the way we'll be paying attention to that story. All right, California is floating a petition to put on the ballot in twenty twenty eight. It would not be binding. It's just an expression of the will of the people California independence, their own sovereign country.

So here's my question to you, and we're gonna put the call screener up. We're gonna put the call screener up, and we want to know what you think about the idea of California becoming an independent sovereign nation. Does it thrill you beyond all measure the possibility of California and its burden to this country or hold on now, First, there is no constitutional release that's available. It doesn't mean much that they would vote for this, But there are

more Republicans than in California than any other state. So I'm curious what you would think about the idea of a cal exit. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna open up the phone lines for you to weigh in if you like, if not. I got a bunch of stories here that I've got standing by eight five zero two zero five to b fla California independence. There's a group that wants it to be its own sovereign nation. It's got a big economy. What do you think? Eight

five zero two zero five. W FLA will take your calls next on the Morning Show at Preston Scott All right, let's do it. Third hour of the Morning Show with Preston Scotty, Moon and Friends. Appreciate you joining us. Thanks so much for sharing time. I thought this was fascinating. I hope you agree. Right now, we have one line open,

three callers standing by, and the question is simple. There are people in California, and the Secretary of State has approved the effort to gather petitions and attempt to bring to the ballot in twenty twenty eight a measure that would request withdrawal from the United States and allow California to become its own sovereign nation, citing the size of

the economy. At least fifty percent of registered California voters must cast their ballots in such a vote, and out of those, fifty five percent have to vote yes, and it would constitute a vote of no confidence in the United States. Now, there is no mechanism for this to actually take place, meaning California to become its own independent nation. It doesn't exist in the constitution. Becoming a state is irrecable, irrevocable, and that was a result of the Civil War. Supreme

Court said, now the Constitution makes this clear. Once in you're in. That's it period. So I want to know what you think. Eight five zero two zero five to w FLA. Michael, your thoughts on an independent California.

Speaker 4

Typical lib twards.

Speaker 6

I swhere, you know, they don't know history, they don't know them all, they don't understand the Constitution.

Speaker 4

But anyway, the problem with.

Speaker 6

That would be in San Diego and up the coast, you have naval bases and naval supply depots. You have twenty nine pounds RN Corps defot.

Speaker 4

What are you gonna do?

Speaker 6

You're gonna jerrymander of you know, a little sliver land through La up to San Francisco and maybe he's over to Sacramento. I mean, what are you gonna do? So, I mean, I say, if they if they do that, yeah, okay, then no more federal funding. They're their own country. Take up all the interstates going into those cities, tear them up and say nope, yeah, you're an independent country.

Speaker 1

Good luck dealing with China. Yeah, good luck defending yourself. All right, Michael, thank you I appreciate the observation. That was good. I didn't even think about the military component. I guess all those bases moved to the States next to California. Frank, thanks for calling in this morning. What do you think about all this?

Speaker 7

At first I was gonna say yes, but then I thought about it strategically. No, And here's why. Number one, they wouldn't fight China or Russia. They didn't fight China or Russia in for aid guarantee you within six months, China or Russia would have a foothold in the continent United States. So no, they're part of the United States. They need to stay a part of the United States.

Speaker 1

Well, you know, it's going to be interesting to hear the PR battle on this one way or the other, because you know, obviously they can't do it. There is no mechanism for them to do it. But I wonder what their big argument's going to be.

Speaker 7

But since when is they can't do it? Stop lib.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we've talked about.

Speaker 7

That they can't do something, they go ahead and do it. They're like five year olds.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Frank. I appreciate the phone call. Eight five zero two zero five WSLA Moses, thanks for calling in, what do you think about Californians, some not all wanting to depart from the United States.

Speaker 4

Well, like churches in Africa and South America. You got Brazil different coming uh state in the country, I mean in attended nations in the country. I think it CALIFORNI him on to go for that. I have no power to them, but uh, I think to this, don't get too close up in They have a changing world events, but they could be serving the matrix.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Moses, appreciate that. You know, that's an interesting thought to reflect on how Africa is made up. But at the same time, look at Africa and how many people are leaving there to try to come here or other parts of the world. They're fleeing, some of it civil war inside these countries. We might look at some of those countries as states. But yeah, interesting observation. Thank you, sir.

Alan your next then, Matthew, what about you. We've got a line open eight five zero two zero five to b FLA. We're simply asking your thoughts on California. There's an effort called cal Exit, and they want California to have its own independence, large economy. I think it's the fifth largest economy in the world all by itself. What do you think? Eight five zero two zero five WFLA ten past the hour, quick check of weather and traffic.

Speaker 3

And this is the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 1

Put on your roller skates. This switches skate two right here. Uh huh, uh huh. We're asking your thoughts on California independence. It could be on the ballot in twenty twenty eight. It's been pointed out that California has more registered Republicans than any other state in the nation. Problem is they are still out registered by Dems in that state. It's changing nationally, but that state is still a harbinger of I liberalism, as we have seen repeatedly. Alan, What do you think, Well, I.

Speaker 8

Think it's I think the general patent stance on that and that just means we don't give up any real estate.

Speaker 5

We push the enemy out instead.

Speaker 1

And how do you propose we do that?

Speaker 9

Well, the.

Speaker 7

Best way to do that is what they're doing to us.

Speaker 5

You have to go.

Speaker 8

Over there and instead of leaving these counties, leaving these states, nature a boors a vacuum.

Speaker 5

So you can't really.

Speaker 10

Blame evil for stepping into place that we've dismissed to go in.

Speaker 1

That's good observation, good point. Thank you Allen. Appreciate the phone call today that freeze up a line. Let's see here in order of longest wait. Matthew, Europe.

Speaker 5

Hey, good morning, Preston. How are you.

Speaker 1

I'm terrific. How are you doing?

Speaker 4

Great?

Speaker 5

So looking at just the past four years and in these blue states and failing policies, you know, I'm wondering if they were able to separate from the United States, do you think that Trump would build the wall between Arizona and California.

Speaker 1

Well, you couldn't stop just at Arizona, could you.

Speaker 2

No.

Speaker 5

I was gonna say, you could go all the way straight up to Canada. Canny, and then.

Speaker 1

What if what if Oregon and Washington wanted to join? Let them?

Speaker 2

Maybe?

Speaker 4

Maybe?

Speaker 5

Maybe? I mean, is it gonna hurt us?

Speaker 1

I love your laugh? Thank you, Matthew. You appreciate that. Let's see here. James is standing by. Hello, James, you're on the air. Hey, man, is California dreaming?

Speaker 11

I'll just move to another country. They said, problem solved.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we could take all the people that want to legally enter this country and swap.

Speaker 11

I thought Robert de Niro and all of them was gonna move to another country when Trump got away, that all of our problems.

Speaker 1

Fair enough? Yeah, do you see any any possibility of California becoming a bit more moderate? I'm not seeing it myself, but what about you?

Speaker 11

Yeah, says if all of them will move and more people move in take their place here?

Speaker 1

Fair enough? Thank you, James. I appreciate you being on hold for me for a little bit. All right, Jen, you'll be next. We've got other callers standing by the lines are ringing. California independence is our question here. I'm just asking your thoughts. It doesn't matter that it can't happen constitutionally, as was pointed out, Since when do people

on the left care what the courts say? But there is no practical mechanism for them to do this, and it could be one of those situations where it's kind of be careful what you wish for if you're them. But what do you think? Eight five zero two zero five WFLA. We have time for a few more calls. We'll take those next here in the morning show. Time for a few more calls here. The question is California independence? You favor it? I mean, just suspend for just a

moment the fact they can't. They can't do it. There's not a lever they can pull that allows this to happen. But let's dream for a second. I remember years ago a proposed divorce settlement between conservatives and illiberals, and part of it is they get to keep California, but we get all the military bases, hardware and so forth. So yeah, that's I mean, it's not like something we haven't kicked around and thought of. Jan How about you.

Speaker 9

This is so ridiculous, Preston, just so California. It really shouldn't even have any airtime. But you know, let's look at it a little more seriously. What would the rest of the world think of us? You know, it would make us look so our stability would look so weak. And I just every little disagreement that anyone has anymore, they want to just change, They want to get out, They want to be their own thing. We are the United States of America, and you know is open. They came in.

Speaker 2

The door is open.

Speaker 9

Leave and don't let the door hit you in the butt as you go.

Speaker 1

Now, when you say leave, you're talking about the people, not the state.

Speaker 9

The people with the people leave. I hear Ellen DeGeneres is leaving, Well, are we going to miss her? I don't think so. If you're unhappy, go somewhere else.

Speaker 1

Yeah, good, respect that alone.

Speaker 9

We are the United States of America.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Jan. Appreciate that. Yeah, I would respect you. If you say if Donald Trump wins, I'm leaving and you leave, okay, good for you. Your neighbors are happier. It's a win win. You're happier, brilliant. All right, we got two more callers. You're standing by it. Let's go to Chris Hi. Chris, good morning, your thoughts?

Speaker 11

Hey, going on?

Speaker 8

I kind of disagree with the previous callers, Like the rest of the world would probably ask us what took so long to get rid of them? But the three things that I thought about is Number One, one hundred and sixty two billion dollars in American taxpayer money goes to California every year, as well as sixty point two billion dollars in military spending in California. So their large economy with this there right there, take a two hundred and twenty billion dollar hit. So I'm guessing that all

those Republicans that live in California. If they outnumber the Democrats, their population will take a significant decline as well. So you know, realistically, Hollywood's garbage that they're putting out is not going to make up that two hundred and twenty billion dollars. So they better, you know, start getting Elon back and maybe having my manufactured tesla again.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Chris. Good observations as well, a lot of good observations here. Here's the thing though, And as he was talking, I was thinking about this, what if everybody left? What of all the liberals packed? Can you imagine what that would do to real estate prices? You could afford to live in California? Again, See there's another plus. Let them leave, not the state, the people. One more call, just one more and it's John. Hi, John, you're up.

What's the beef or not? What's the beef? Good grief? What are your thoughts on California?

Speaker 11

Now?

Speaker 10

I'm saving up the beef for Friday, but thanks for an opportunity today.

Speaker 11

There is a.

Speaker 10

Petulant move on the leadership's part, but I think an earlier an earlier caller mentioned the Rofoblicans need to take advantage of this. The people are starving for leadership, and they need to be developing their grooming leaders like a JD Vance or not, like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Pete Wilson. And I believe they'll do well out of there, and if they don't, they do succeed with it. I think Elon Musk ought to build a deep water fort and the Gulf of Bob had.

Speaker 1

Wish them good luck, Thank you, thank you, John appreciate that if you know, that raises an interesting point. If you find the right person, you develop a bench. See one of the things California has done a poor job of Republicans in California, and it kind of reminds me of what's happened here where we are in Leon County. They've not done a good job of developing a good bench.

Now Florida is the you know, obviously is sitting in a good position other than the silliness between the governor's office and the head of the Senate in the House and the legislature right now, it's a little silly, but broadly speaking, California has When was the last time you saw anybody in California get any run as a as a conservative, as a Republican what Daryl Isa in Congress? Their senators are a train wreck. Most of their members of Congress are train wrecks. Adam Shifts now leave the

House and become a US senator. You got Nancy Pelosi, you got Maxie and Waters. I believe, I mean, they're just they're disasters. Republicans need to contend by having people with the right messaging. And that's what's missing, and that's what I've been arguing for twenty plus years. Twenty seven pass, thanks for your calls. I appreciate that. Twenty seven past the.

Speaker 3

Album Welcome to the.

Speaker 1

Morning Show with Preston Scott handwringing over there by Democrats on Trump talking about tariffs and enacting them as of midnight tonight. If something dramatic doesn't happen. Look Trump is doing what he does. He is saying, look, we have a problem here, and the only way I can get your attention is money. Now, just for a second, step back and say, isn't that kind of how it works? I mean, there are some of us that would react to being inconvenienced, but what really gets our attention is

when you see something impact your wallet. If I may, isn't that why one of the main chief reasons why Donald Trump got elected. It's not just about draining the swamp. Draining the swamp addresses only part of the issue. You still have the actual financial problems facing this country. He was elected because even when they installed Joe Biden, Donald Trump was considered the better choice on dealing with economic issues.

I'm not going to tell you I agree with every single thing that Donald Trump suggests when it comes to dealing with business. I will tell you that I trust his instincts. He's a global player, he understands it. I read the perspective of people that do business internationally and they concur America is getting screwed every direction by nations, many of them allies, and he's saying no more. Now you can sit back and say, well, why twenty five percent on Canada and Mexico and only ten on China.

Because Canada and Mexico are allegedly our friends and they're supposed to be helping us. They're not. He's got a list of reasons for Canada. Just look them, look them up, just see for yourself. Mexico, the cartels, the fentanyl. Keep in mind, now, fentanyl is originating from China. So that's certainly part of the problem. China's got a whole other set of imbalances that we're dealing with. But you know, Chuck Schumer's out there talking about the amount of money

it's going to cost the American families. And first I'll point out, short term, he might be right, it might cost us one hundred bucks. You just shop a little bit more strategically, and it won't. It's not Canada and Mexico or not China as it relates to products flooding a marketplace. China is tariffed because the government subsidizes its businesses. The reality is that we won't really be impacted a whole lot. But Democrats ignore the damage that was done

to your pocketbook for four years. So just keep that in mind. That's I mean, all I can do is say, this is the art of the negotiation. This is the art of the deal. You say, really, you're not seemingly to get you're not taking me seriously. So here's what I'm gonna do. And then what you do is you force them to sit down and now let's talk. Because if you were to say which who's damaged more by these tariffs, America or Mexico and Canada. That's easy. It's

Mexico and Canada. Second big story in the press box. Marco Rubio goes to Panama, Panama, Panama, and after one meeting, the president of Anama says, uh, yeah, we're out of the deal with China. Thank you, sir, nice doing business with you. He likes staying sovereign. He knows we can take it. Don't want to, but we can. We just soon leave. Look at our history. We could have taken Germany, we could have taken Japan, we could have taken Italy, we could have taken the Axis of Evil. We didn't.

And even the split of Germany between East and West, we won. Gorbachev tore down the wall. Now we have one unified Germany. Why because we won. We won the Long War. There a couple of other things real quick FDA recalling Lay's potato chips. Find out more Fredo Lay's website, and and they've escalated a recall of Walmart broccoli. It's not in our state or in Georgia, but it is in many states along the Midwest and West, and so

you can you can learn more. It's the twelve ounce market side broccoli Florettes, and that recall is also I mean, these are level one recalls. They are very important. So find out more. Forty one minutes past the hour. All right, A couple of little notes as they brought this to my attention. I honestly, when he first said this, my first thought was, you have misread something, or you have

bought into a meme somebody playing a joke. There is no way that little jerk from Marjorie Stone and Douglas High School, David Hogg is the vice chair of the DNC. You are kidding me, lo and behold he is. I'm dumbfounded. I'm truly dumbfounded. The anti Second Amendment lunatic. The Democrats have elected as vice chair of the party, the National Party. Here's what they're thinking. They're seeing all of these young men going to Trump and they'll stay there because JD.

Vance's is up to the task. But they think putting this little weenie as vice chair is going to somehow bring the gen z Ors over. Not a chance, Okay. I mean, it's just and I've got a bunch of other stories here about they just they don't understand Republicans don't understand how to take the winning message and message it Democrats don't understand why they're losing. There's some some do, some get it, but most don't have a clue. They

don't understand. They're just disconnected. They honestly believe you just don't understand. We're smarter than you. We get it. I know what I know. Socialism was bad in those countries. It's because they didn't do it right. We know better. If there was a motto to go under the Democrat party and in liberalism, it is this, we know what's best for you. It summarizes it brilliantly because it suggests you don't know what's best for yourself. Leave it to us.

You're just a simpleton European. Your Rube will handle it. You just go about u. Go on, go play. We'll take care of the big boys stuff. That's their attitude. That is their attitude, all right. The second little thing I wanted to point out, why did it take a few days for us to get the name of the pilot of the helicopter? You know what I mean by that, the helicopter. We're going to talk more about this tomorrow. Why did it take Why did they withhold the name

of the pilot. I think I know why. There's certainly a lot of theories floating around, and they're learning more about what caused the crash, and clearly, well you could say traffic controllers could have done more. This is the pilot error caused this, and it was the helicopter pilot's error that caused this. But why didn't they release the name for a few days? Give that some thought over the next twenty four hours. We'll talk about that tomorrow.

Forty six minutes after final segment, coming up, Frost. This is terrific. You ever heard of a painting called the Lamar the Elmar, long lost work by Vincent van Go. According to reports, van Go painted it in eighteen eighty nine while confined to a French psychiatric asylum, same place he created other famous paintings like Starry Night, which is another famous van Go and the Netherlands Vang Museum said that a copy of this thing that they've seen is

not it. But there's a group called LMI. They've got a four hundred and fifty page report art experts, historians, scientists, data analysis, including DNA analysis of a red hair found in the painting, an analysis of the writing in the word Elmar, which is in the corner of the painting. They believe it's authentic. They think it's Van Goes and they are releasing their paper to a group of Vango scholars and dealers. If authenticated, the painting would be worth

an estimated fifteen million dollars. Oh, by the way, it was purchased for fifty bucks in a garage sale in Minnetonka, Minnesota. I have just inspired Jose's dumpster diving to a new level. Actually, I actually bought a painting from Goodwill yesterday. It looks very neat. Yeah, I mean flea markets, garage sales, estates, sale You just never know. Could you imagine if this thing is legit, Man's fifteen fifty dollars investment becomes fifteen mil flea market?

Speaker 3

Anybody brought to you by Barono Heating and Air. It's the morning show on WFLA.

Speaker 1

The number of times I've told a story like that in the twenty three years I've done this show. Someone buys a bunch of tin type photos at a flea market. I mean it just it was like one of those plastic egg crate or crates that you know holds a bunch of eggs, but a big one, twelve by twelve type thing plastic one ten photos and in there are original ten photos of Billy the Kid and his gang playing croquet.
