1Malaysia Distorted Badly?

“Many Malaysians barely recognise the country that you describe in ‘The Najib Effect’,” wrote our High Commissioner to Britain to The Economist in lMarch. It was a reprise of a letter he had written to The Financial Times in early February aggrieved by the characterisation of the Najib Administration as “disasterous”. Today we ask if the 1MDB and related stories of alleged financial impropriety and high spending, is distorting the image of the country.
