Is Vaginal Birth after Caesarean an Option for me?
Nov 09, 2018•28 min
Episode description
More than one third of Australian birthing parents undergo a caesarean section for the birth of their babies, and most of those happen to first time parents. So what are the options for future pregnancies? Is a second caesarean the only way, or are there risks with that too? How risky is vaginal birth after caesarean?
Sally speaks with midwife and Griffith Univ PhD student Bethan Townsend about Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC), the risks and recommendations to help achieve it.
Kimberley Lipschus also shares her experience of VBAC pregnancy and birth.
