Father-in-Law / Pastor / Rapist

“This man was my boss, my pastor, my father-in-law, and the man of God in my life. When he started sexually touching and abusing me, it almost broke me. I was programmed to please him in all that I did but I knew this was not supposed to happen but fell into a sense of shock and repressed the memories as he would use my body for his deviant pleasures and sexual release. Grooming a victim for rape is about control, and he knew he had it. He began a years-long sexual abuse of me that further isolated and silenced me. In fact, after the initial abuse incident, I was so traumatized that I completely lost my singing voice. My two-plus octave range was reduced to a scratchy three notes. My heart was broken. I saw how expertly he manipulated and raped me. I would only have to imagine that several other victims exist because he clearly knew what he was doing, and he was bold enough to sexually violate his own daughter-in-law.
