Hello. My name's torri Archbold, and I'm delighted to be here on the Powerful Stories podcast because I've got something really exciting to share with you today. I claimed my power in the most extraordinary way last weekend when I launched the first episode for twenty twenty five of this
podcast series. I had been so used to relying on the efforts of production teams and producers to create the podcast for me that I was so overwhelmed with all of the approval processes that I pressed pause on actually producing this podcast for a good ten months. Now I'm back because I claimed my power on my own terms, and I actually have started recording this podcast on voice memo on my iPhone, which I then upload to riverside.
I use the power of AI to become the world's best producer of my podcast, yes, in my own voice, and I could not be more happy with the results, because you have all DMed me to say, I can't believe you did it. Maybe I can do this myself, And the answer is, you absolutely can do this yourself. Because the way I was running my podcast before was really overwhelming, because I was building a global business with impact and I felt bogged down in the admintas that
everyone wanted me to be doing. And so by doing this and sharing this very clear framework with you, I've claimed my power and I hope that you can claim yours, because everyone deserves to have a voice in this world. So I'm recording this episode right here, right now on my morning walk as I did last week, because my daily goal is to kit ten to twenty thousand steps. My health is really important to me because I'm navigating, creating,
and building this global business in three very different countries. Australia, Sydney's my hometown. Hi to everyone listening from Australia readd
which is now my second home. My husband is based over there in Saudi Arabia, and Los Angeles, where I'm going to be spending so much time here in the United States again this year, as we create opportunities for the women in our community to engage by the power of human connection and of course the connections in my Little Black Book, to help them really become impact makers in their own rights. Now, I promised myself this year that I would show up in a way that was
really authentic, real and aligned with my purpose. And I do believe that by claiming my power and producing the podcast in this way that I'm living in my authentic truth and aligned to that purpose. So if you feel that you can do the same, all you need to do is hit record on the voice memo and voila, you will be in the same position as I am right here. You definitely don't need fancy equipment to create an impact or a huge production to All you need
to do is to show up and share your voice. Now, I'd like to share a little bit about the power of community, how I build a global network, how I stay connected with people, and how I create a brand narrative not only for my own business, but for the women in our community that commit to our programs, our events,
our retreats, and private mentoring. It's really important to stay connected with other people through the power of community, because when life gets busy, it's who you surround yourself with that will allow you to elevate your life and business to the next level. So let's talk about how I've just become a fifo wife. Gosh, I didn't even know what that was until I googled it six weeks ago. A fifo is someone who flies in and flies out.
Now it's been six weeks since my husband relocated to Read and I spent six weeks with him with no network, in a new country, in a new culture, really understanding the power of what I wanted to create when I was spending time in Read. Now, for those of you that don't know, Read is one of the most dynamic cities in the world at the moment. It's a part
of Saudi Arabia. It has seven million people, and they literally have handpicked the best of the best in terms of leadership to drive a whole lot of change which they're hoping to amplify in twenty thirty, which is called the Kingdom's Vision. So the focus is very much on innovation, retail, take and business. And let me tell you, the minds of the people that I've come across since I've been
in Read are nothing short of extraordinary. Their knowledge, their impact, they're willing to pay forward that to create the magic that the world so deserves at this point in time, is honestly extraordinary. But here's the catch. I had to actually understand if I could call this place home, what was my place in this new com unity, what was the culture? How was I actually going to fit in? So how I started doing. This was pretty simple with
my husband. We decided that using the framework that I've used for the past twenty five years, which is called the Coffee Date framework. The Coffee day framework goes like this is how I created and built my first business, which attracted the world's top performing brands, celebrities and influence as an extraordinary team of twenty two. It's also the same framework that I used to create and build Powerful Steps in twenty nineteen. Every single week I commit to
three coffee dates. One was someone I know, one was someone I want to partner with, and one with someone completely outside of my comfort zone. Now, because I didn't know anyone in realit except for my husband, he became my coffee date every single day for someone that I know, And what we would do is we would book an uber to different parts of the city, or it would stay in hotels and from parts of the city and we would just walk and talk, lean in, learn grow
absurd experience. It was an absolute game changer because by the time I was sitting a couple of weeks later, surrounded by men in a compound. Now, for those of you that don't understand what a compound is, it's actually got a totally different vibe. It's a secure, tight knit community filled with expats from all over the world. It's also a great way to get a sense of the
community while you're adjusting to a new place. So I am one of around twelve men sitting around having a drink, and let me tell you, it wasn't an actual alcoholic drink. It was a tea drink because alcohol is banned in Saudi Arabia. And that's actually been a good thing for me and my husband because our mindset has never been clearer now because we've been coffee dating and really understanding the power of what it was that we can contribute
to this new, vibrant city. By the time I sat there, I knew exactly what my passion and purpose was, but I just didn't know how to share it because I had no one to invite on a coffee date to partner with. But as the universe has conspired with me many times across all of my career, I seem to be placed in situations where I've either met someone before I know someone, or there's a unique synchronicity where we can create magic together. So out of those men in
that circle of Drinks. You would not believe this. When I was in my twins, before I came back to Australia and started Torstar. When I was twenty four, I did a stint at MTV London. Who was sitting next to me on my right in this Hello Andrew, the PR manager for MTV at the time. We could not believe it. We had not seen each other in decades, and of course he said to me, Torri, how can I help with you? How can I partner with you? You can become a voice for women and change. Hey
head a a major PR company. I've been in the region long time. How can I help you? Bingo? Second coffee date, third coffee date for me is always someone outside of my comfort zone. Now, this is where you really reach for the stars. It's meeting people that you don't know and just surrendering to the process and really challenging yourself to align with what's meant for you. Because I truly believe what's meant for us comes for us at the right time. So because I was showing up
on Instagram stories every day, it was really interesting. I started receiving these messages from people all around the world. Toy you should get to meet my friend. Hey, I know you love coffee dating, meet this person. Hey, so and So's in town? Would you like to connect with them? Was an absolute yes to all of those requests. So here I am understanding all the different little communities because I'd committed to someone I know in a coffee date and I doubled out with them with my husband every
single day. I'd met Andrew, who obviously was someone that I wanted to partner with, and I knew that with his agency, I could create a little bit of impact. But thirdly, I also knew the places to coffee date, which, by the way, if you go to my website powerful dush steps dot com, I actually least all the different places I love coffee dating in read to buy, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney, Australia. So when I was getting these direct messages like hey, you want to coffee date here?
How you want to coffee date there? Actually felt like a local. I felt like I claimed my power, but most importantly, I felt like I had something to offer. So the power of community really is about not going in all guns blazing and saying this is who I am and this is what I want. It's about really settling into the energy of where you want to be, what you want to create, and what you want to track. This is the magic of life. This is how you
become an attractor rather than a hustler. Now, once you've actually had those coffee dates, the power of connection, the power of community, the power of building a global network, which, by the way, you can actually download in my Powerful Steps app via my website. A video series on how I network. It's called how to Network Like a Pro. It's a masterclass. It's awesome. Watch the videos and we'll
give you this framework as well. But for the purpose of this podcast, I'm going to talk to you about how I stay connected. Once I've connected with someone, it's really important I manage my time effectively. It's pretty simple, right, because it's not easy to juggle everything. So you've connected with people, but you want to keep the connection, but also you want to know who's in and who's out. Let's be brutally honest here and now that I'm a FIFO wife, that's right, a fly and fly out wife.
It's not easy to juggle everything. So here's how I've learned to manage my time and my energy effectively as I navigate life within three countries. Number One, I prioritize my energy because my health absolutely comes first. So every day I'm sticking to my tenenty to twenty thousand steps a day. If you want to reach out and have a coffee date with me, if you see me on it Instagram stories and we're an energetic match, I'm going
to say yes. Just remember this. When you prioritize your energy, it clears your head, it gives you energy, and it helps you stay focused. So my energy is everything. I would not be who I am if I didn't create boundaries around it. Number two meaningful connections. This is how I manage my time effectively. I'm currently back in Sydney, Australia, about to fly to la and five days and honestly,
I have not seen anyone. I literally said to the universe, allow people to reach out to me, and if the connection feels like it's something that we can do together, which is an energetic match, I'm going to say it yes. But apart from that, I'm not going to reach out. Twenty one because I'm here to spend time with my daughter. I'm here to be in my home. I haven't been here for a while, I want to just soak couple
of that energy. And most importantly, I was only here for eight to ten days, so it meant that I had to really my time and prioritize who I wanted to see, which means I will only connect with people who inspire me, challenge me, and hold me accountable. So if I'm in a country and I'm unavailable, it's because those things don't feel like an energetic match for me. But if something that lights me up with a request,
I'm always gonna say yes. But when you're building a business, you really need to prioritize your energy and you need to make sure that you have meaningful connections. The third thing is this, I always embrace flexibility, so no matter where I am in the world, I do not jump back my diary. I have room to move because life in any country is unpredictable. But I've learned to be adaptable and go with the flow because things don't always
go as planned. Flexibility is always key. Now a lot of people then say to me, we'll tory, what do you say on these coffee dates? Again? Jump across to the powerful steps app because I will be showing up randomly at this point in time, just because of my
schedule for live coffee dates. Now, if you want to actually tap into when I'm available, you simply sign up to the app and you'll see the events schedule when you can actually have time with me in a community setting to actually learn, grow and claim your power as well. So I hope that today's podcast has been insightful. I've clearly claimed my power in new and exciting ways. I've cut rid of all of the fat in my business.
I've allowed my time to settle into a new way of living, a new way of stepping up and sharing with people the knowledge that I know, because it's very important. If you have wisdom, you share it. And most importantly, I'm just excited about once ahead, and that's a number reason why I'm here on this podcast with you today. I hope that this has helped you, truly do hope that I get to see at one of my upcoming events, retreats, or programs. Much love, Tory,
