Episode description

“Mary (she/her) is a self-proclaimed eccentric moth girl. When she isn’t writing poetry she’s spending her time cozied up with her four cats. Mary’s passion for poetry has been a new-founded one, she discovered the magic at @portlandpoetsociety over a year ago and has been hooked ever since. Her poetry aims to bring out deep emotions, to peel back the layers of feeling to find the raw & vulnerable center. You can find Mary on instagram at @marybrackett and for more poetry at @marypoetic Discussed this week: having asthma, microwave nachos, turkey pot pie, Cold Start, penmanship, being a pen snob, smoking daily, ashtma flareups, smoking with your dad, Sunday River, Sugarloaf, getting into poetry, sestinas, cultivating vulnerability, lexicological recursion, Loanership, poetry snaps, starting a wave, editing, untitled poetry, Steven Universe, the invention of women, and more! Find Mary on Instagram @marybrackett, @mary.poetic, and some Tuesdays at Lincolin's speakeasy on Market Street in Portland, Maine :')
