Note from Dan: Dan here. I just wanted to clarify my comment about ME not being degenerative. While many of us experience ebbs and flows with our illness, for some with severe ME, the condition very much can be progressive and on reflection I didn't want that to go unrecognised. As Jo said in her poem, we have lost too many to this illness and my comment was not meant to dismiss those who have seen a steady progression. My apologies that I did not clarify this.
