When I was a kid, I was very adventurous. Quando eu era criança, era muito aventureiro. My friends and I used to skip school and go to the video arcade. Meus amigos e eu costumávamos faltar à escola e ir ao fliperama. The sense of freedom I had when I got my drivers license was unmatched. A sensação de liberdade que tive quando tirei minha carteira de motorista foi incomparável. Riding the bus to school was the worst. Andar de ônibus para a escola era o pior.

When I was in school, the teachers would hit us with rulers. Quando eu estava na escola, os professores nos batiam com réguas. My parents were emphatic in their religious beliefs. Meus pais eram enfáticos em suas crenças religiosas. My family used to have an annual reunion. Minha família costumava ter uma reunião anual. We used to go fishing at the river most Sundays. Costumávamos pescar no rio quase todos os domingos. For my birthday, all my extended family members would come over.

No meu aniversário, todos os meus parentes viriam. I’m still recovering from my childhood. Ainda estou me recuperando da minha infância. When I was in college I loved going to rock concerts.
