The reliability lessons from the Texas blackout

The Texas blackouts that knocked power out for millions threw state and federal officials into crisis management mode – and now they’re looking for culprits. The blackouts left a death toll of nearly 60 people, and showed that the state was largely unprepared for extreme weather. And that is a lesson that multiple states are beginning to learn the hard way.
