As the planet’s green lung, protection of the Amazon forest is a priority for all environmentalists. But the Biden administration is involved in delicate diplomatic negotiations with Brazil’s president, who watches over most of the Amazon and believes keeping the Amazon intact is keeping his country from fully developing.
