A major setback for Trump’s public lands work

Filling cabinet position with temporary, acting chiefs has long been a trademark of the Trump administration. But on Friday, a judge ruled that William Perry Pendley’s time as acting chief of the Bureau of Land Management was unlawful, and ordered a massive review of the agency’s moves over the past year, opening the door for walk backs.
