On Tuesday, reports indicated the Biden administration would not be sanctioning the company in charge of building the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline or its owner, a close ally to Russian president Vladimir Putin. This means the final miles of the project could be laid out, but POLITICO’s Ben Lefebvre says don't assume it's the US waving the white flag.
