Episode description

This panel episode is a discussion on Quebec’s proposed Religious Symbol Ban, Bill 21, that would prohibit public servants in positions of authority from wearing any religious symbols. I’m joined by Ian Bushfield (@ibushfield), Executive Director of BC Humanists association and Iranian activist Shaparak Shajari (@shaparakshjr), who was arrested for removing her hijab. She had to flee from Iran to Turkey and in her absence was sentenced to 2 years prison and 18 years probation.
