Biggest news item of the day Scott sever capturing his third WSP Gold bracelet. He won the ten thousand dollars no limit Duced to seven Single Draw Championship

low Ball Championship. I don't know whatever you want to call it. He won it for four hundred and eleven thousand dollars. He topped a field of one hundred and eighty six entries. Really good field size in this one, by the way, his third that this summer. As I mentioned, seventh overall, so very rarefied air between those two accomplishments one getting to seven,

two having three this summer. In terms of getting to seven, he becomes the eleventh player to do so. Daniel Legrand, you a couple of days ago was the tenth player to get up there. Can you name the other players off top of your heads? Three? No, that have won seven or more. I just kind of looked at it, say, uh, that's fine again. Mcgrana, Siva Moss, Sadel Chan Doyle Ivy, how many other helmu, I think we did this before and you're forgetting the same

person? Is that it? Yeah? Ten? Okay'm pretty sure that's it if because remember I interviewed Mgwana a few days ago and I had basta Hannigan men win in my interview question. So yeah, so very rare terrified air there as I mentioned. And then in terms of winning three in a year, sever becomes the sixth player to dousco and the first time it's happened since

two thousand and nine. Who did it into that? Jeff Right, Kangaroo gup, I'll take a hit, Walter Puggy Pearson did it in nineteen seventy three, included the main event, right, A good question, I think, I think so. Phil Hammut did it in nineteen ninety three. Ted Forrest also did it in nineteen ninety three, three and three, Ice Phil Ivy did it in two thousand and two, and then Jeff Lossandro as we

just mentioned, did it in two thousand and nine. I still like, I still don't like that you're leaving out Georgia Danzo, But anyway, I mean it's kind of not the same, But okay, so three in a yeah, and I think that's still just as impressive as three at in World Series. I mean especially when it got any places mix so like he has a captain amount of events he plays. I mean it's impressive, yes,

but like it's not it's more to do it just in the summer. Okay, it's not as impressive as Siva, but it should still be recognized. Can we say that that? Okay, yeah, sure, But for what I'm trying to do when I say win three in a single year, I mean at thebes AP in the summer, these you know, seven weeks whatever it was before or five weeks, I don't know, but yeah, that's what I'm referencing. We're not referencing the other stuff. You know, mister

Danzer, didn't you win on in Australia? He wanted want in Ipak and then won in Europe, but not even veg I mean the one in Australia doesn't even count. I mean twenty seven entries. Probably for sure had a small field. Wait, which is Grando is one? He won the main event, No, the one George Dana. Yeah, it was probably small. I mean he's probably super tiny also within this whole thing. Scott sever took the Player of the Year lead, which we'll hear and talk about player

of the Year specifically in just a second, because forty eight players. Yeah, exactly. I did catch up with Scott sever afterwards. We had a good conversation about winning his third about you know, kind of bigger picture thoughts on everything. Scott's always one of those guys who he's great when he wins because he makes time for every single person in the interview. Very well spoken, well thought out. It's obviously an extremely intelligent individual, awesome poker player.

And yeah, I guess we'll just throw it to the interview right now with Scott seven. Then we'll come back because I got some more fun stuff to talk about, all right, Scott sever you just ripped off your third bracelet this series. I want to know what's in the water and why are you so damn blazing hot. I don't know, but if I find out, I'm not telling anyone else and I'm bottling it. I don't know.

I'm just I'm loving it right now. Really rarefied Air getting to seven bracelets, but doing so doing three in a summer, what do you give your chances to go on and win number four? Because we still have a fair amount of events left. I genuinely think there's a decent chance. I obviously my confidence is sky high. I think I'm playing well. I'm giving myself every opportunity. When I'm done here, I'm going straight into the stud eid.

I'm entering tournaments early, and I'm staying focused. I think I have a legitimate chance. Of the three you've won this summer, which one means the most to you? This one here the dude means my father the most to me. I've always thought this was a beautiful game. I've always thought this was one of the most prestigious events at the World Series. It has the most storied history of gambling in Las Vegas before Nolan had hold them.

This was the game that a poker player showed who they were and to be able to be a small part of that legacy going forwards, it's kind of everything I've always wanted speaking about that. You know, this game is often referred to as like the purest former poker. You're obviously extremely good at it.

Why do you think you're specifically like very good at this game. I think my one of my biggest chances as a poker player is having empathy in a way of understanding the mindset of other people, given an individual moment, given a table dynamic, given who they are, what they're doing in their lives. And I've always had it what it has felt like a preternatural feel for like the undercurrents of a table dynamic, and this game is really solely

reliant on reading those currents and navigating them. You bet a lot on yourself coming into this year. Is that a one year thing or are we gonna see this from you in future years? Honestly, I don't know. Maybe future years because I've had so much fun obviously this year, but I'm just taking it one summer at a time. Right now, you mentioned in a tweet being at the final table with Jeremy. Obviously you're overtaking him now and Player of the Year with this win. But you guys are going back and

forth. Do you really want to win Player of the Year? Is it just about the bracelets? You know? How does that kind of shake out? No? I really want to win Player of the Year. I didn't think I would at the start of the summer, but as the race is heated up, I've really wanted to. It's funny that I was joking. Jeremy and I were joking at the final table that I thought maybe I would be like rooting against him in allins or something because of how much I wanted

it. But it's been really fun to have both like world class players and people I consider genuine friends of mine at the top here with me. So just like the spirit of competition has been amazing. You've had a ton of success over your career, You're obviously very very very good. This event specifically had an incredibly tough final table, final two tables, like what's your mindset given where you are in the game, but still having to face such a

tough competition at the end of it all. Honestly, it makes me more excited. I feel that I give my best when it's needed of me, and so knowing there were such world class players here, it forced me to like stay focused and really try and play the best game I can, And then for myself, that's just what makes me happiest when I go to bed and night knowing I did everything I could. You heard him there, I mean, he's going to be upset if he doesn't win Player of the Year.

It sounds like which makes sense, you know, given what he's done so far, these three World Series of Poker bracelets in one year, one summer. However, you want to classify that. It was interesting that he put out before the day three of the tournament. This is day three, right, Yeah, that he was going to make the Found table or whatever and pass Jeremy Osmas for Player of the Year lead. But also that you know, he didn't figure out that Jeremy Allsmas would also be at the found

table, which he was, you know, summer of Ozmas. He continues to do very, very very well this year, but has not won a Doubsip Goal bracelet yet, which is pretty crazy to think, just given how good Jeremy is and how many deep runs he's had, you know, so many close calls. We're going to have to look up most final tables in a Doublysip at some point. I'm going to put that on you, mister Statman. Figure that out, okay, preferably before the end of this episode.

Not a chance. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I just want to see if you were paying attention because you're on Instagram or something on your phone. I'm not paying attention at all I'm listening. So Ozmas took fourth, so that brings up the question, now, seever versus Ozmas, who is your twenty twenty fourth Player of the Year. It's come on, I want to know. I mean, it's it's a it's a talking point. It's a conversation. That's what we're not. Not a conversation. It's

Look, Jeremy doesn't listen to the podcast. But you got learn to close, buddy, simple as that. Gott save the three Brice, that's Knough said. I mean, yeah, I mean listen. Obviously, the thing that puts sever over for me and obviously for you is the three wins, because these two are pretty close. So Ozmas has twelve do Wisity cashes. This one was his twelfth. Sever has eleven. This one was his eleven, so very close there. Ozmas has six final tables, sever has three.

Sever won all three of his events that he made the final table. Osmas does not have a win yet in terms of money one Osmas has won three million, four hundred and twenty two thousand dollars and Sever has won one million, one hundred and thirteen thousand dollars. So obviously, you know, things should be weighted towards the wins. Yes, but in Jeremy's defense, he does have three more final tables. He has more than three times the amount of money won, and he's done it in some bigger buying events.

The fifty k PPC, the Hunter K that he took second into Big Huni, and the two hundred and fifty k Super High Roll. He also made the final table there. So Jeremy's had a really really, really good summer. Of course, with the new rules for WSP Player of the Year, not all of Osma's twelve cashes or all of severs eleven catches count only ten count I think Seande might have eighteen cashes now maybe ninete because I think he might be in the money in the twenty five KPLO. So that's ridiculous,

like ridiculously good, is what I mean. I mean, he's cashing at an insane rate. So it's gonna have twenty four cashes somehow. I can already see it. Yeah, I mean online event, so you got twelve. I don't even know. I'm in the air left. I've been dark to the online stuff. You know now that it's not part of twenty five

K Fantasy scoring. I just feel like the coverage there is just not it's not really helpful to being able to follow it, you know, Like I think I think all the final tables should be live streamed, commentary on the stuff, like, you know, all that sort of stuff. Definitely got to get the results out faster in terms of who's who. I'm more focused on the live stuff. Plus, you know, the live stuff is here, It's in the flesh. I can see it. I can feel it.

I can touch it like it's right there. You know, you see it. But I can definitely walk them and touched on to you if I want to. I can touch the chips like I was touching the chips and the colossals today, but I can touch the bracelets. Funny thing about the bracelet by the way, So I done doing photos, interviews, all that sort of stuff with sever and he's like he goes over to the table and the horseshoe table and he's he's got the white bracelet box, but there's nothing

in it. He's like, where's my brace He's freaking out. He's like, I left it right here, blah blah blah whatever. And you know, I think somebody was like, so there was a couple of people around, everyone's kind of looking around or whatever. It clearly wasn't there in the cart, you know, because if there's a bracelege ceremony, they give it to the people in the car and then they award it to you at the ceremony. But he didn't want a ceremony, so he's like looking forward whatever.

They're like, did you did you take it? Did you put it in your bag? Because he has a backpack with him. He's like, no, I'm ninety nine point five percent sure, I didn't put in my bag. I'm sure, certain, certain, certain. Finally he looks in his back. Where's the race in his back? Shout out poker players, But yeah, no. But I just think it's it's interesting between sever and Osmas. I mean, obviously there are some others in contention for Player of

the Year, just based on points. Sever's going to take the top spot. Jeremy's going to increase his point total. You got Chris Hunikin's up there, you got Phil Ivy, Bryce Jockey, Daniel mcgrown you. So it's just it's interesting overall. It's going to be a sweat right down to the end, which I think I think at the end of it all is the best case for wsbpoy. It's obviously very good to have these types of names in the race. You know, within the top six you got Ivy to

Kronny, which is incredible. You know, to also just have the race be as heated as it is, the constant flipping back and forth. I do think it was kind of crazy heading into this event that Sever was third having already won two bracelets. That's interesting to me. But you know, ultimately, I think the dibicip puts the biggest weight on bracelets, as it should, and if bracelets are the thing that you consider the most prestigious from

the DOUBSIP, then winning should trump pretty much everything else. So that's where I lean sever This got me thinking where is sever in terms of conversation or how close is he to the Poker Hall of Fame? So I think he's for sure a Hall of Famer in my opinion. Then it just comes down to this whole logjam thing that we're all getting worried about and whatnot. So so ozma Us it feels like Ozmas will probably get in this year. I think I would go Patrick Antonius over Ozmas. But again it's a log jam

thing because then then what would happen. Let's say, let's say Patrick Antonia's got in this year. Let's put this out. Patrick Antonias gets in this year, Jeremy Osmas is kicked to next year. Does Jeremy Osmas get in next year? And the reason why I say that is because there are two people who will be eligible next year. Let me get Shuman and Scott sever Okay, I wasn't gonna guess. Then it becomes interesting he would not get

in ahead of Eva with us, That's what I mean. So like, if Jeremy doesn't get in this year, I don't think Jeremy's getting in this year. Eva, you don't think, so who you got? I think it could be Patrick. I really don't. There hasn't been a peep about Patrick. Hasn't been a peep about Jeremy unless it's the people that play with Jeremy I and friends with Jeremy. That's what I'm saying. But that's where

it starts. That's where the campaign starts. Sure, the campaign, but at the end of the day, it's it's the people that are in the Hall of Fame, voting, people that are in the Hall of fame, Like, are they see the noise out there? Who do they like? Who do they play with? I think you had to look at it that way more. That's why I lean to Patrick slightly, just slightly. Yeah, I don't know. I just have saying Jeremy, I'm okay. I'm not saying Jeremy's not deserving. I just like I get it, Yeah,

I get it. But anyway, this brought me to my next topic. Let's say, let's let's take Patrick and Jeremy and everyone else that's eligible this year out of the conversation, right, because there's going to be however many people they make nominees or finalists and then only one is gonna get in. They're going to kick everyone else down the road. But let's just take all them out of the conversation. Scott sever and Nick Shulman are both going to

be forty for next year. Sever turns forty on April fourteenth, Nick of next year, and Shulman turns forty September eighteenth. This year, Shulman has five bracelets, one WPT title, and twenty million, two hundred thousand dollars in live tournament earnings. He's also got the commentary feather in his cap. He's also got the high stakes cash game feather in his cap, right, sever seven bracelets, one WPT title, twenty six points seven million dollars in

earnings. He's also got high stakes poker right like or you know, like cash games. Severs WPT title is the twenty five k World Championship, whereas Nicks is the ten k Foxwood's event that happened, like I think it was the World Poker Finals, So I mean it's I feel like these two are very close in terms of Hall of Fame voting. I think I think Nick wins popularity for sure, So if that's something like, I think people would lean Nick over Sever. But Sever's resume is incredible? Is it better than

Shulman's? Is it is Sever's resume better than Shulman's buy enough to overcome Shulman's popularity? And like, well, I want to maybe not correct if that's not the correct word, but I don't think Shulman has the high stakes cash anymore. I think he's kind of did he did and then he went to play tournament. Yeah, so let's look, ay, well Siver did and then this summer went to play tournament now so he plays cash. No, I know, but what I'm saying Shulman played high stakes cash like he for

sure, like Okay, huck Seed. He's giving the vote to Shulman. I would he plays with Seva. He's voting in Seva Hennigan. He's taking Shulman, Maury, I reckon, Maury takes Nick phil Ivey Shulman. I like this. I've never done the I've never done the Poker Hall of Fame like this, but going through all the living Hall of Fame members and handicapping who they're gonna select. Krylos Morden still loved. This might not be a live Todd might be able to be reached. Todd Brunson could take Savi Jrwanda,

not sure. Jen Hammond definitely, Seva Nagrano definitely, Shulman, definitely, Yeah, because he's Shulman's his boy. Scotty Winn, no raid, Tom McAvoy, no raid, Eric Drace ah Man, He's always good. He's going to Shulman, Linda Johnson, Shulman, Harry Green signed no idea Sideell that's a good one. I think he takes Shulman, no idea. Can we bet on whose side eltics. I'll take im telling us, do you eat tomco Shulman, Phil Hellm with Mmm? It depends we gotta because

Helms always gonna flex on like the right answer. I think. Well, Okay, listen, we got a have we gotten any Scott sever tweets from Phil helmmyth because we got a Nick Shulman tweet. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. He's going to go the opposite because he's gonna like white magic it. That's what my read is. Okay, But my point is, like, I think there's enough sever votes. Uh, the guys that play high stakes cash with him regular you are probably going to vote him. Don't

think Suman plays that that high stakes cash anymore. But he's got the commentary chops. So I think it's a pretty fair fight, you know, like it's dead down the middle. It's could be a fifty to fifty split double decision. Put them both in. You had it here first. You think you think this is the year they finally changed. But I'm just saying, like it's it's getting tough where that they may have to do something soon. Yeah, who got into the Hall of Fame last year? Yeah? Ras

the grass is an interesting one. I mean, why is an interesting one because he plays both the High Sex tournaments with Nick. He does he's done commentary for voting. I mean he's also plays High Sex cash receiver. Yeah, like it's a it's a that's an interest. That's the most that could be the most fifty fifty split one of them all. So what happens with josh Aria who again? But I mean Josh well, he needs some noise last year Okay, cool, I'm just saying make more noise. He's done

the thing this years. He cashed it. I know he doesnt thing this year. But it's about your career. It's not about one. I get it. Boys club. I don't care what they say. It's a vote. They all vote someone in. I don't know how they do their votes of three two one is a ten to five to two whatever, five to three one. I don't know how the voting is, but it's it's kind of like you It's kind of like when you're on the bossball court and you're

voting us all and you're picking your team. Yeah. I mean listen to when I was going through all the sever stuff, it just made me think, Oh, I wonder how old he is, and I was I thought it was it was gonna be like thirty seven, but I found out that he was thirty nine, and then I was like, oh, now it's

Severville Shulman. I feel like that's as close as a Hall of Fame duo, like for voting that you're probably gonna get, yeah, like you know, just because of like like if you're on the fence, I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of a Poker Hall of Fame voting member if I'm on the fence, like the cool thing to do is vote vote Shulman. Right, Sure, Shulman is the cool guy. He is like mister cool.

Yeah, But the Hall of Fame is supposed to be if you go, if you go with how the Hall of Fame has gone for so many years, it generally has a lot of weight to bracelets, and sever has two more. Also, what can help sever I think is well, one, if he can win another bracelet this year, but I think to win another bracelet this year, but also if sever is if he was able to get POY, if he's able to win Player of the Year, like if he does Ultimately, I think it actually matters what they do next year.

Let's say he okay, let's say he wins POY, We're gonna give the save of the edge. Let's say Shulman comes down and wins the fifty k next year. It changes everything. I mean, yeah, I get it. It's just it's very it's very interesting just to kind of think about overall, though, you know, crazy events. Jeremy Osmus was fourth. Who else is at the final table? Jen Harmon was at the final table. Jeremie Alsmins took fourth, Jenn Harmon took fifth, Mike Watson took sixth,

Aaron Coopan took seventh. You had Robert miss Rocky and eighth. He had Jason Mercier in ninth. I mean, this tournament was stacked. It was really really cool. I mean, you guys heard it with se in the interview. He wanted to win this bracelet pretty much above all others, which is really cool to hear, you know. So yeah, go Scott sever do you think he's gonna win a fourth? You have to, I mean, there's two sides of this, yeah, yes, no, no,

no, I understand there's two sides to the shut up. His form says yes, fuck math and logic says fucking no fucking chance, buddy, Sorry, no chance are you winning a fourth? Okay, how about this, mister math and logic. That's good that your mathema logic because you're the stack guy who is more likely to win one going forward this year, sever or Osmas, Well, Osma's kind of closed, so that's gonna make it really

tough for him. Yeah, but sever can only sever can't make as many found tables, so it's almost like blind luck would just back into what we're gonna apply some logic to this. Okay, he said this year right for the rest of the WIP, like we're starting at zero right now? Who Vegas or the whole year? It's gonna change my ants on No, because neither of them are going anywhere other than Vegas. I would bet that I will bet money on that that Osmos would got would be a favorite to go

to Bahamas. Oh well Bahamas? Yeah, okay, well Bahamas. I'm un announced yet, is it. I'll tell you who it is. It's Jeremy Osmas, hands down, locked in favorite. Why well, first of all, he's fuckingna probably play the lowest buying events as well. He doesn't really give a shit he just wants to win. Second of all, he plays severs in some of the lows. He won the fifty against Okay, that's literally low low buying low hands low show. Does he ever play the

twenty five hundred trees out? No, he didn't. He have one that, yes, exactly, but Omas is playing. My point is, okay, this is where my real point. My point is, I don't know. But here Also, here's the other thing. Is that going forward, because of the Poy Race and because they are head to head, go in toe to toe everything. That's what I'm saying. But starting today they know that they are. They are in the dead heat. They are one and two in the p o Y race. No Osmas is his favorite. They

both want to win it. So what I'm saying is that does that incentivize sever to blast everything like he's in the Maybe he went and lay redge of the four and all Colossus for a I mean, I know he was online. That's that's the receiver, completely online, ken, But we know what Ozma's has a track record of playing and winning online. All right. I just I just thought it was an interesting question. He doesn't need to learn to close this summer. I was trying to think of, like what what

would you how could you ask him? I'm talking about Jeremy Osmus, like if he could because he's won more than three point four million dollars this summer, Like basically, how much money would he give up to win it? To add a bracelet? Like isn't that with probably a lot? I mean way more than you and I. That's for fucking sure. How much did you winning? It was a number he's won, He's cast for over three point four million dollars three million foreigners. How much is he willing to basically

buy a basa ball? Yeah, Like how much would he trade like prize money for winning the five K? You think that much? I think I think that is not too much, but it's still a lot. That makes sense? I mean, is it a million? Is? Because when I talk to him, like off the record of Foreigner K he was talking about like big day. Hold on it before you say anything stupid. You can't say when I talked to him on the record and then say what you talk

about because I'm not going to tell how this works. Listen, off the record is off the record, buddy. What I'm talking about. What I'm just let me finish my statements, interrupting, No, this is not how you You're not to say it is never going to talk to you again. He the off the record spot. Look what he's my best friend, Richard for sure losing his mind Richard for sure losing his mind right now because you're like off the record, but I'm gonna put it on the record and I'm

gonna my source wall. I'm at it like, yeah, okay, he was like Matt down swings and an amount of down swings. So like that's I'm not revealing what the numbers is what I'm trying to say. So like I think he does care about money, but of course he cares about money. They all care about money. Yeah, sure, But anyway, six hundred and seventy five, ok. Off the PBC cash in the movie other cashes. All right, let's talk about the Ladies Championship next. A very

well known poker players up on top, Jamie Kerstetter leading the way. There are six players remaining from the field of one thy two hundred and forty five. First place is I believe one hundred and seven, one hundred and seventy one thousand dollars up top. The final six are guaranteed just over thirty two thousand dollars. They are going to come back on Monday, July first,

which is the day you are likely listening to this episode. They're gonna start at three pm Vegas time and the stream will kick off at five pm Vegas time. Extended delay because we like to do a dynamic delay so we can chop out breaks as we go. Cursedetter has nine point three million. This really is the haves and the have nots at this final table. So Curstar has got nine point three million, which is going to represent one hundred and

seventeen big blinds. Shina Okamoto out of Japan has eight point six million, not too far behind Cursed Edter, and Okamoto has one hundred and eight big blinds, and then Linda Durden has thirty nine big blinds. More Kumber has twenty two big lines, Cecile Tissure fifteen probably butchered that, I'm sorry,

Cecil fourteen big blinds, and Ccilao has twelve big blinds. So it's going to be very interesting for Linda Dirdin and more Comber in that weird kind of icm jail cell in the middle because Curse Edtter's got a lot of chips,

Okamoto's got a lot of chips, and we'll see how they go. I would expect, I would hope that the two chip leaders, curse Utter and Okamoto, really applied pressure to the other players at the table, especially with these two short stacks t Shirt fatteen and Leau both with sub fifteen big blind stacks. So, you know, given the given the pay jumps at hand, given the glory that comes with becoming the Ladies WSP champion, you know,

I think that there's a lot of pressure to be applied there. So that's going to be an interesting one to follow along with on the stream. I'm looking forward to it, you know. I always love final tables like this where these spots are interesting. I don't know anything about Okamoto. I

do know about Jamie kurst Etter. She's been around for a while. She's a very experienced player, so I'm wondering if just kind of like name brand of Cursed Utter then leads into her as the chip leader, applying more pressure out of the gate. So we'll see how that goes. This one will be on Poker Go Monday at five pm Vegas time. Marley Cordero took eleventh place in this event. Cheris Andrews took sixteenth in this event. Nadia Magnus

nineteenth in this event. So Gentha Hatty as well twenty ninth place in this one. So that is the Ladies Championship. We'll have more on this event tomorrow as it obviously plays to a winner as mentioned, so stay tuned for that. Next up, Let's hit on this. Let's hit on this Colossus tournament just because quickly looks like it has more than eighty five hundred entries on day one C, which is freaking bananas. What's the number overall? I have no idea. We're really bad at this coloss at. Yeah, it

should be. It should be up there. I mean it had had four thousand, then it had six thousand, then it has eight thousand. So yeah, probably probably right around eighteen five to nineteen five somewhere in that realm, which is a huge boost over last year's which I think got fifteen eight hundred my memory serves me correct. Yeah, So so put us like depending where it falls like seventh biggest, Uh yeah, I'll be maybe forget some

alted numbers. Yeah, it'll probably be. It'll probably be seventh, to be honest, which would surpass this year's WSP Mystery Millions that had eighteen, four hundred and nine injuries. So yeah, I mean this would be the biggest UH tournament with only three flights. The biggest tournament with only three flights. Yeah, what does that even mean? Well, on your your magic list, it's everything from OHI yah nine op is is four or six flights.

This is three flights, So they for sure had only they for sure always had four or six flights in like the twenty fifteen Colossal in my stat stuck, which was your stat stuck where we have those field sizes, it has flights. So the biggest before that was the five hundred dollars Reunion in twenty twenty one that had twelve, nine hundred and seventy three players and three flights. Got it, got it, got it, got it? I mean this is wrong then this seems like the first I think it is the

first three flights. I think last year this might have had two flights Cossus last year, but that that did see a very noticeable increase from going to an extra flight. The Monster Stack and the Millionaire Maker both surpassed last year, but they added a flight and they only saw like five percent increase, So that doesn't really track with what you would expect probably, So I'm curious to see if that's changed again for next year. Maybe go back to two

flights, but who knows. The general sense that I got is having day two for those start on a Monday is not the most ideal thing. You know, then you would do a Friday Saturday starting fights Sunday day two, and then if people advance on from there, then you know they can do the whole takeoff from work thing and all that sort of stuff. So just wanted to mention the number. Don't really have much on the colossus other than that, and other than the fact that I'm going into day two tomorrow,

I'm gonna try and spin it to the moon. Baby, I think I'm gonna win this one. It seems seems gould be a good one to win. We saw percent and we did definitely did not swap ten percent, not with the way you played that fucking Queen Tennant Clubs. Even if we did swap ten percent, I would I would take the ten percent back after you played that Queen Tenant Clubs like an absolute buffoon. If you play it like that. Tomorrow in the tag team event, I'm going to punch you in

the face in the middle of the pairs. Okay, I'll tweet out the table in the morning. Sea all in with it, baby. I would rather in terms of our tag team strategy, I would rather you screw things up playing way over aggressive, then then screw things up playing like total that happens. Like if you're if you're thinking in your head, which way should I go? Always choose the more aggressive line. Always. No, I wouldn't even think like that, think of like like what would bin Wang do?

That's what I want you to think, like bin Wang Wang? What would bin Wang do? What would what would what would two thousand and eleven Vanessa selps e Jenten? What would free Jedden's exactly gonna play like exactly. That's what I want you to think, Like, that's what I want you to do. I don't care if you go bus because I thought I know, I know Daniel Negraan has mentioned this, but it's something that I also thought was extremely interesting, not not because Daniel mentioned it more recently, but

I watched the podcast that Jonathan Jeffy did with Daniel legrand. I don't know if it was a couple of weeks ago, a couple months ago, or whatever, but basically John Jaffe said, like, listen, ninety nine percent of the time or whatever the crazy percentage is, you're gonna bust the tournament, Okay, So like, don't worry about conserving chips and like doing all

this sort of stuff. Make the best play that you can in the moment and live with the results because the majority of the time you're just gonna bust the tournament anyway. So who even cares if you bust doing something that you think is right, Like, it doesn't matter. Like I thought of that. I literally thought of that in the moment yesterday when I freaking power jammed all in, which might have been a horrendous play against this guy, but

I did it. Did I talk about this hand yesterday? I'm trying to I can't remember. I only got talked about on the pod. No. I open plus one plus two calls it folds to this guy in the big blind megafish, okay, was like he was limping and calling everything. I

had not seen. It was my second table, but I had not seen I played at this table for like two hours or so, so not seeing this guy raise one time twice I called him with King Hi on the river and he mucked his hand and I didn't have to show, even though the first time the whole table like tried to argue with me that I had to show. That was the whole thing. But anyway, this guy never once

like raised ever folds to him in the big blind. I think I made it twenty five hundred, maybe at six twelve he makes it ten k. I'm like, well, this is just very weird. So anyway, or I made it twenty two the guy called it was it was five to one, and yeah, the guy made it ten k out of the big blind. So I was thinking in my head like this has to be like the ultra premium of premium hands. Just hass to me. He's never he's never once raised. Why is he raising now? Like he was like limping or

just calling behind like with queens with ace king like like everything. So I was like, oh, he must just have aces or kings like this is just how it is. But then I'll tell you my thought about that after the hand, because it plays into it. But so I have like a one hundred and forty five k or something, so one hundred and forty big bndes. He had like one hundred and twenty or one hundred and ten,

so we were really deep. So I was like, you know what, I can just call here and play in positioned against him, although I never really thought he was folding, so I was basically just I would have to just set mine with my tens, which I was fine with given how deep he was. Whatever. So I call. The guy behind me calls as well, okay, whatever, fine, it comes King six deuce rainbow. The guy checks from the big lines. I'm like, oh, so you just have top set, like I get it. Like so he checks,

I checked. Behind, guy behind me checks, turn is a queen. I'm like, okay, well if you didn't have top set, now you have turned to set right. He checks again. I'm like, well, what the hell is going on? I'm like, oh, you're just playing. It's so koy over there. You're just checking your you know you were scared of that king. Now you're just gonna check your queens. I was like, I got you. I'm gonna check behind. Other guy checks rivers A six pairs the board, so King six deuce Queen six rainbow. He

checks again. I'm like, what in the universe is this fucking hand. I'm like, I'm like, okay, he has to have bet, like like if he had aces, he would have for sure just like probably bet like thirty five thousand, like something absurd on the floor. So I'm just like, I'm thinking to myself. I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, I should bluff here. And then I'm like, the way that this guy was playing there was I would I have. I had to put him all

in. That was the only bluff I could do. He would he would have if he was been left with like one k left, he would have for sure called me, I thought, So I was like, and then I was like, man, is he really gonna fold? Like is he gonna fold anything? And I'm like, I'm like, if I check behind here and this guy tables to Jackson the big mind, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to leave the tournament because I'm gonna be so tilted at myself. I know the players. I have to blow this guy off jacks if he has

jacks. And then I was thinking like, okay, that's why I was like, this player might like the players that raise like with because they raised with like Jacks if they don't raise a lot, but then they see Jacks. That's how these players think. Like they're always like calling and whatever, but then they're like Jack's like I gotta protect Jack. Like everyone thinks they got to protect Jacks. For some reason, they hate Jacks, they gotta

protect him, and they end up playing them like these bizarre ways. So I just moved all in. I mean it was like something, you know, he has like one hundred and five the pots whatever, thirty three, I move all in. Guy behind me like snap folds. This guy's in the tank for like three minutes. I'm like, fuck, he's never folding. It's like god damn it. He tank tank tank. Then finally he folded. But that's what I mean. You just got you got to make

the play you think is the right place. All right, I got it. You gotta just fucking yell. I got the pep talk, I'm ready to go. Let's go play. So yeah, that's what you gotta do, man. So let's move on to oh, twenty five thousand dollars Polo high Roller. What did this get last year? Four and forty nine? It for sure beat that because it got four seventy six. I mean, what have we been saying every podcast? The big bet high rollers are out

of control records. This is why coming into the summer, you and I said they have to do one hundred k PLO or even a two hundred kpol I don't whatever, Like you know, they could have done a two hundred and fifty k PLO super high roller like for sure one hundred percent would have drawn big numbers like these numbers are out of control? What did the what did the twenty five this beat the twenty five k in the limit? Yeah?

I mean this PLO is the hottest thing in the universe at at the Super Big I mean it's it's hot everywhere really to be honest, but it's at the Super Big buyas It's just freaking out of control. More than two point two million dollars for first place, second place is one point five, third place is over a million, one million, thirty eight thousand. The top seventy two paid out at least fifty k. I mean, this is this just bananas? How big these fucking tournaments are. Look who's the chip

leader? Brian? Rast this crush? Your second helis partialleague or sorry Aory Miller is third. I don't know who Tyler Staffman is, I mean sixth place. The other finn Yanna youka mine in cal Burns your boy because yeah, Tom Duan looks like he's doing well. Phil Ivey's got chips, Victor Blaum's in there, another Finn Youha Helpi is out there crushing Isaac Kempton. I feel like he's been super super quiet at this stuffs. He's in there.

Jal Vieira, Eric Lingern I know is out there. I saw Stephen Chidwick in terms of our twenty five K. I saw Sean Winter in terms of our twenty five K. Both of them are out there. This is it's day two. This is a four day event. So they're gonna play like whatever set levels. I think they're probably on the last set of levels, just because just before we came to record they were on a break. So gonna probably play two more levels over there, bag it up. I

don't know. They'll probably have thirty six to forty left tomorrow. They'll come back, play onto a final table and go from there. Oh I said, I said yesterday we were gonna talk about the stud right, because we didn't talk about Nikolai I finished as well. Did we talk about it? I can't remember well. Nikolai fall won the fifte dollars seven cards stud High Low six hundred and eleven entries in that field. If my memory serves me

correctly, that's an increase year over year. Nikola Is out of Russia took home one hundred and fifty three thousand, seven hundred and thirty dollars. He defeated Venezuela's Christian Roberts in heads up play You've all Braunstein sixth place for twenty five k for him, John Turner Pearl Jammer fourteen thousand for eighth place, Joey coodin ninth place. That bothers me. But okay, this is this is going back to what we talked about a couple of days ago. It

says final table results and then they list nine. But this is study eight, so it's technically eight. But if you go by me, it's also the final table. If they so, it's it's just tricky, you know, So we can just do top ten. That's what we can do. Checking on in on this ten thousand dollars seven card stud High Low that kicked off today. That was the only event, the only brand new event that

kicked off today. You did have a third flight for the classes, but this was the only new event, says Alias Lami runs away from the pack on day one. Well wow, he's got a massive yea Jesus, how's that even possible? It's one hundred and twenty k more than the next person, more than the next person. No, Andre Zigeloff second in chips, Alan Kessler's third in chips, Hello, Alan Kessler. Brandon Jack Harris is crushing, Nacho Barbaro is crushing. We got Dario Alioto out there bagged more

than starting. I think. Look at Jeremy Osmas just went hopped right in, bagged more than starting. They listed our guy, Norberto Korn under scorn. He's out in there as well. Daniel Legrand, who busted Jeff Mattson, looks to be the short stack. Scott sever fresh off winning his third goal bracelet this summer, went over there and bagged a small seventeen five hundred. They start this with sixty k, so no big deal. He'll spin it up, I'm sure. And that's day one. It looks like they

got one hundred and forty three entries. But this one has the Day two entry, right, yes, all right, so we'll get a handful more. We'll see if anyone possibly like an ivy maybe at Chidwick bust this twenty five kplo and then they hop on over there. Who knows, but we'll see how that one goes. What's tomorrow besides the Tag Team? Oh, we got to do the fucking winners. Yeah. I know that's the only thing this part is supposed to be about. But we got it. I

mean, that's what you have to do. You have to make people listen to the end. That was your play the whole time. Yes, of course it is. You can't. Well, people is gonna come here and be like I want and then peace out. No, hell no. We have the one K Tag Team. But the big event we have the ten K Mystery Bounty on tomorrow at the Mixed Big Bet. Okay, good day, the Mixed Big Bet. That seems like Michael Rodriguez Final Table. I feel it. Okay, all right, let's do let's do the winners.

All right, wait a time, So for everyone that that has been listening, Tim and I are playing the Tag Team event tomorrow, thousand dollars buying. But we are going to give away fifty percent to fifty different winners, meaning everyone's going to get one percent. Okay, if we cash for zero, well your ship out of luck. If we win a bazillion dollars.

When we win a bazillion dollars, it will it should be if we win a bazillion dollars, because I don't know if it'll be a bazillion, but I mean when we win, it's just wonder how much we'll be shipping you some money. It's going to be good. So let's let's see the fifty winners. Are you going to Are you going to like email all these people too? No, they better listen to the podcast. They also have to email them. I mean we have all their emails. If you want to

email them, you can't. I ain't gonna email them. We're going to have to. We're going to have to. Really. Yeah, we'll do half and half. I mean we don't have to do it today or like tomorrow morning, or whatever we can do while we're sitting at the table. Okay, fine, we can take turns, you can play the tournament. I'll do whatever. Who's starting, By the way, we'll figure it out tomorrow. We've got Malice Stump Bustless at eleven o'clock, I gotta leave.

Yeah, so you should definitely play first. That makes sense. Okay, okay, it'll be my warm up. We got fifty winners, and there's a couple of reviews I want to read. I will make it real quick. I'm going to read names. You are going to get an email tomorrow from us to confirm if you're not sure it's you. But from the top, Andrew Vernette, Eugene Lee, Mark Lozano, William Reid, George Mandas, Joe Jackson, Ivo de Grut, Dustin Smanovic, Jonathan hey Bert or

Think I got that Logan Hunt Razon Rez and the last one Thomas Vana. There's a couple I want

to read real quick. Okay, here's my first one. I think. I think you're gonna lie. This one thing that bugs me as a space nerd. They talk about how it's the biggest podcast in the un universe and the whole Milky Way. It really should be the other way around. The Milky Way is a teeny tiny part of the universe. It's our galaxy, but the Milky Way is one of hundreds of billions of more galaxies out there. Well, yes, our space knowledge is I would say, not very

good. Would you agree to No, it's not very good. This is not good. I mean, what what do you want from me? Who wrote? Who sent that? In Andy, Heidelberg, Andy. What do you want from me? Man? What do you want from all? Right? This is from Henry Conrad, he said, I appreciate that he's he's enough, he's enough of a diehard listener. And dare I say, nerd to want to correct us on the correct sizing? I like it. That's great, It's perfect. This is from uh, this is from Henry Conrad.

Guys, like that's like you know when when people are like, oh, he had trips and I'm like, no, you had a set. Yeah, like you know, this is nia yeah. Uh, he says, like Gus Polinski is the Polka King of the Midwest. This podcast is the poker King of podcasts. It's a great one, this one, Brad. Are these all winners? All these people won? Yeah? These are these Like I just I'm picking out a few of the winners that I read their reviews and I was like, this is pretty cool. If you enjoy

the title is One Funny Man and a Duck. If you enjoy poker and behind the Curtain look at the World Series of Poker, you have to check out this podcast. Best to you and in the industry. And they don't let Jeff Platt interview them so they don't get busted either. I have to throw that little it's just a little. I all like Jeff Platt interview me whenever Jeff Platt wants, because I do not believe in the curse and I

think it's dumb. Sure, this review is from you, gently, I'm not going to read it, but I want to mention that it is at least seven hundred words long. It looks like an essay on computer. So thanks for that. This one's from Mark. You've been listening to, Donnie says the pokon news days a poker road listener. Thank you Tim for always been the comic relief. So he also said, I love the old school Pinions jackets. So that's where you get that read, because someone's got to

got to start appreciating those jackets. Two more real Quick five starsand spotiffies. This guy says, this is putting the pressure on us, Jonathan moving to Michigan where I'll finally be able to play online. So pick me up, pick me and ship the tag team so I can start a bankroll. So here's bankroll rests on our success. So chi with the ship my dollar you're putting the pressure on us. Last one here from Wit he says the Pogo podcast that you'll like this one. I save this one for last for a

reason. Okay, the Pogo podcast has become my favorite podcast, and that's because of Tim Duckworth. Yes, that is me, from Folding Straights to one raise in the South Point Nightly to Gatorad reviews. His input makes the show Kangaroo takeover twenty twenty four in all seriousness done, he has been a stud for years. Listen to blah blah anyway, I don't know what this guy thinks of your queen ten four do. We don't need to talk about that, but thank you so much for all your time and effort. It

makes my weekend during the w's me and makes my day. Thank you. That was from Wit Brandon, but that was six you know, six reviews. Guys, thank you so much. Whether you're leaving five stars, four stars, three stars, two stars, once or whatever review, we appreciate every one of you, and for the fifty of you that one. We are going to do our best today. Technically it's twelve o six am to get you some money and build some bankrls. That's right. I feel good

I'm just I'm gonna double cash tomorrow time. I'm already in the money in the Colossus, so I've already got fifty percent of it done and then I'm going to cash the tag team with you, and yeah, I tink it. We are on our way. All right, what's starting? Do we talk about this? We did that? Alright, we did that already. Okay, we're done. Sorry, all right, We're done. For everyone that Tim raveled off as a winner. Congratulations, Hope we can make you

a good chunk of change. We will do our damnedest out there in the Tag team event. We'll email you guys at some point in the next let's say twenty four hours, you know, just to kind of confirm, you know, hopefully we'll do it in the early part of tomorrow, just to let you guys know that you did win. Again, congratulations for winning. We very much appreciate the reviews, and as I did mention at the top, we're gonna pick two winners for some stuff during theas P main event episodes.

We do daily episodes from the wa P main event. We've been ninety nine percent daily so far this summer, so we're crushing Pat on the back to us for that. But yeah, main events is gonna be super fun as always. I'm looking forward to the Bubble episode. The Bubble episode is my favorite episode. Every single year. We just basically turn the mics on out in the middle of the floor and run around like a bunch of idiots. But that's gonna be a lot of fun. So yeah, stay tuned

for all of that. Minimum starts in a few days, so get your asses ready because it is coming. My name is Donny Peters, his name is Tim Duckworth, and we will talk to you guys later. Peace. Jenny H.
