Hello, everyone, Welcome back to a brand new episode of The Poker Go Podcast. The number one poker podcast in the land. And I know that is a fact because I've seen everyone's Spotify social media shares and we're at the top of every list that I've seen hundreds, if not thousands of people, as we should be. In the words of podcast superfan Jeff Platt, many people are saying many, many people are saying that the Poker Podcast is the

number one poker podcast in the life. But in all seriousness, my name is Donny Peters. His name is Tim Duckworth. It is Thursday, November thirtieth, It's the final day of November. November is wrapping up. But Tim had already shaved the mustache. It's unfold handle. Look at him without the mustache on this video. Come on wait, it was so it was bad ass, man. It was great. It was so so great. All right, on this episode, we are going to talk about the World

Poker Tour WPG seminal wrapped up. It has a winner. We're going to hit on that. The WPT World Championship kicked off yesterday, so we're going to hit on that. We also got to talk about WSP Paradise starting up in a couple days. We're going to play a little WPT and WSP fantasy and there is going to be a listener play along with a giveaway, so

you guys can get involved out there. Run Good, the Run Good Poker series wrapped up an event at Thunder Valley recently, and it is important because it had the Dream Seat Invitational Tournament and one player who we will talk about later on, won his way to compete in the PGT Championship million dollar free role, so that's very cool. We're gonna hit on that. And then there have been a handful of new episodes of A Game of Gold and we are going to chit chat about that. I will say it right now.

There are gonna be some spoilers probably. We're gonna talk about what has happened. So if you haven't watched it and you're trying to avoid spoilers, don't listen forward. That said, I hope you all listen forward if you are listening to this podcast before December. Second, we do have an extended Black Friday sale running on shop dot PokerGO dot com. You

do? Okay? Jeff Platt one a Run Good Poker Series ring. Last night he took down the three hundred dollars dream Crusher bounty event at the recent Run Good Poker Series stop up at Thunder Valley. Jeff one just under six thousand dollars plus whatever bounties he got. Ben Ludlow good friend, a good friend of Jeff's as well. They were at the final table together. Ben Ludlow finished in fifth place. I believe Jeff busted him. That a very

friendly thing to do. But there are no friends at the poker table. We all know that. So yes shut out to Jeff Platt for taking home that ring and the six thousand dollars in prizemen. You believe he's now down in Houston or on his way to Houston one way or the other for the Champions Club live streams that Poker gro and Champions Club are doing. Brent Hanks is also down there. Phil Helmuth is down there. Jeremy Osmas is down there. Is going to be a big ass meetup game at Champions Club.

We're gonna be live streaming over the next couple of days on the Poker Go YouTube channel, some cash games, So check that out if you guys want some poker content, All right, let me throw some Jeff's out. Oh we got stat boys back, let's go. I didn't know this, but this is his first run good ring. I swore he already had one. Yeah, so I also swore that he already had one. But he has a ws AP circuit ring. He does have a WSP circond ring, but

I also I thought that he had both. To be honest, I thought he had one of each. So he just won. Basically, what is a six K and bounties. He is now eclipsed seven hundred thousand in total live earnings according to our rich d handed mob. He's rich. He's rich hundred and twenty six on the Texas All Time money list. He's going to hit that tope hundred. He's from Texas. Yeah, I feel like Texas would be a hard moneyless to get to the top of Can you name the

top five without cheating? Oh? I don't think he can. Is t J Cludier up there? Third? Yep? Ten million? His door runs in Texas? He is, but he is six Okay, I mean I yeah, Texas, Texas. I mean I give you. I'll give you one hint Game of gold. Game of Gold. David Williams, Yep, he is fourth. Played Super high Rollerball PLO. We did not expect him to play. Played Super High Rollable PLO. Did not expect him to play. It was not on our list of potential I got no idea. Ben

toleraan you I would have if you said where is he from? It was Connecticut. I mean, there's no way I'm saying Texas. Who's in second multiple bracelet winner and owns a card room? Giant Champ No, Doug Polk. I don't even know why I said Giant, and you would never get you would never get. Fifth It was Keith Who is it, Doug Polk? Sorry, Dog Polk? And fifth was Keith Tilson, Okay, Keith Tilson makes sense. I don't know why I said Giant Chan that this because

I know he was involved in some card rooms in Texas. That's why, for whatever reason I thought I would think he's from Texas. Was weird. I'm always questionable about the the location stuff, you know, for like like, That's why I asked. That's why I said Doyle Doyle. The way that I did, like was is Doyle listened on Hende mob As Texas? Or has he listened as Las Vegas? You know? Like I mean, yeah, I'm from New Hampshire, so I'm on the New Hampshire All Time

Money List. But I've you know, the majority of my poker results have come when I've been a resident of Las Vegas. So it's like, you know, what do you think he ranked in New Hampshire? Like Phil Helmuth is Wisconsin, right, I mean, but he's like how long has he lived in Northern California forever? I mean, you know, where do you rank on the New Hampshire all time money list? Like two hundred and something fifty fourth? Yeah? Okay, I mean what but there's moved to New

Hampshire. There's one person that's like up top, that's like way up top, right? Is that true? No? Okay, maybe someday I'll get up there, man, I'd be I'd be thirty ninth if I was. Where would Jeff Flappy He's got seven hundred, he would be he would be a fourth out fourth? Who's number one? Dan Shallafaw with eight hundred K. Daniel gang Plo Series champion second eight hundred and twenty two k. He recently shot up there. So yeah, all right, cool, enough of

that. Let's move on in to the news and happenings. First up, WPT Seminole Down at Seminole Hard Rock in Florida. This seemed like it's been serving as kind of the layover stop between people traveling from wherever they're traveling from. I would say mostly like kind of the Las Vegas or West Coast area, maybe even up up you know, in the northeast, down to Florida,

and then they're going to jump over to the Bahamas. And we all know that, or maybe you don't know, but the the Florida to the southern Florida to Bahama's flight is like, you know, a forty minute flight, very very quick and simple. Thirty five hundred dollars buying for this WPT Seminal Main event, three million dollar guarantee, had one four hundred and forty

seven entries. Price will topped four million, six hundred thousand dollars. There was more than seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars up top for first place and coming out on top was it's then Brisky taking home. Well that was a deal. Oh wow? Was see that? Yes? Originally seven hundred and fifty two thousand, five hundred dollars up top, which also includes the WPT

World Championship seat. Brisky took home six hundred and forty seven three hundred dollars after he made a deal heads up with Ryan Chamas, who took home an even six hundred thousand dollars. Sandy Sanchez finished in third for three hundred and sixty six k. Fred Goldberg, He's been at a few WPT final tables in the past, he took home for two hundred and seventy four thousand dollars for fourth place. Matt Bond played a handful of events inside the poker Grost

studio. He had a score of two hundred and six thousand dollars, and then Darryl Fish, who we all know or likely know if you're in the poker world, one hundred and fifty seven thousand dollars for him finishing in sixth place. I mean, listen, good numbers again out of Seminole, Always

good numbers out of Semino for these big events. You know, it's like they I know, it was years ago when they missed that huge ten million dollar guarantee prize pool, but you know, since then, since they've kind of recalibrated the guarantees, there's still big guarantees you know overall, and they're within that thirty five hundred to five thousand dollars price point, and they always

crush. They always do extremely well. You know, I remember kind of coming out of the pandemic or tail end of the pandemic member when there was all the dividers at the tables and all this sort of stuff. But they had like you know, alternate eight hundred or so, you know, the crazy stuff like that. I mean, it's it's crazy down at Seminole. The poker's wild there. They have a lot of good events. You know, obviously we're talking about this thirty five hundred dollars buying WPT main event that

was down there. But you know, they often open their series with like a five six hundred doll or maybe a four hundred dollar opener that has a million dollar guarantee on it. So there's a ton of stuff there. There's always like a handful of like mixed events. There's some high rollers. I think they had a twenty five K that had more than ninety entries, so they had that. They had some you know, some five K side events

like I mean, they they do extremely well in Seminole. One of those spots I've always wanted to go, you know, make I mean I've been, but go for poker, make a trip out of it, spend a week there, just play a lot. But you know, it's it's a lot harder to do nowadays when you got a family and a couple of kids running around, you know. But but yeah, but seminoles A it's doing

extremely well. I will I will say this. My question about Seminole is, I want to know if Seminole is bringing the Seminal hard rock poker brand to Las Vegas. When they launched the hard Rock here taking over the Maraage. Now, I know it's several years away. I think I think they're targeting late twenty twenty seven, early twenty twenty eight. We all know how all that stuff goes, might get pushed back, you know, a year

or two whatever. But I want to know if they're gonna like this Seminal poker brand in South Florida is so big, like it's it's it's gotten bigger than just like South Florida poker. It's it's certainly like a very national, if not international brand that a lot of people carve out their schedules for. They make the trips down there, they go to these events, whether it's it's a Seminal event, that's paired with the WPT or whether it's one that's

not like people go they attend. We see the numbers, the main event numbers are always in the thousands. They're crushing guarantees, huge prizes like it's great, and of course it doesn't hurt that the weather's generally pretty nice there, you know, like it can't get that bad other than like the occasional rainstorm here and there, which in South Florida can happen at the you know, the turn of a dime. But other than that, uh, it's

it's awesome. So are they going to try and replicate that sort of thing here in Las Vegas? When you know it launches here and at that point, you know you're gonna have to contend with wind Poker Venetian always does extremely well. Resorts World is really trying to like increase their footing. We know, we know what Aria does, of course, and they have that kind

of bigger series, the Aria Classic. Throughout the summer they got bad MG I'm coming into play, so I don't know, it's going to be interesting to see if if they want to try and replicate that sort of thing.

There's so much competition here here's what I would do. Okay, I would I would have a series here, but I wouldn't necessarily have a poker room unless I thought the poke room was going to do all right, right, Like it's just hard, Like you there's poker rooms have closed unfortunately in a lot of spots, and they've gotten smaller, and it's it's harder to operate

like a live poker room in a lot of locations these days. And I think the Las Vegas market, like people have just seen that, you know, slot machines do better, they're more they're more cost efficient for you, Like you can just jam in some restaurants, nightclubs, like all all that sort of stuff, right as opposed to a poker room where you know, you got to staff it. Like it's just it can kind of be a

little bit of a headache. I'm sure that said, you could still have like a very nice place it's Las Vegas, Like, you don't necessarily have to have a poker room to host a series, you know, so like they could have you know, the their version of like the Lucky Hearts Poker open in Las Vegas, and maybe that's something they do if this whole December thing that's been building and building now in Vegas. I mean, people are

calling it. It's kind of a weird name, but they're you know, a weird nickname is the Winter WSP because the WSP isn't actually here in town, but that sort of winter festival for poker. Yeah, I could certainly see Seminal trying to do that here, you know, bring some of the staff over from Florida, stuff like that, so people have some familiar faces, they know what they're getting, you know, you you obviously know the type of schedule that you can get or put out there for players what they

want to see. So so that's how I would tackle it, you know, make it a once a year thing, not really worry about the whole poker room aspect, cash games, daily tournaments, et cetera. But hey, maybe that's in the cards. I'm all for more poker. I'm just I understand the challenges in the current landscape to do the day to day operations of things, So that would be my suggestion. Of course, you know, we're talking what three, four or five years down the road, so

lots still happen. But yeah, WPG Seminal performed well once again, would expect it to continue to perform well over the years, and I mean I really just got to got to make a trip down there at some point, all right, speaking of the WPT, but this is going to be paired with the WSP. We have the WPT World Championship, the massive festival that kicked off yesterday at WIN Las Vegas, and then we have WSP Paradise kicking

off on Sunday, December third at Atlantis in the Bahamas. Now, these are the two biggest brands, if not arguably the two biggest brands in poker, and they are going head to head basically in different worlds because ones in Las Vegas, ones in the Bahamas. Both are guaranteeing more than fifty million across their series, Both have massive main events, both have big high rollers, both have a ton of like prelim side events, post limbs, whatever

you want to call them. WPT's of course got the headlining forty million dollar guarantee. WSOP has a fifteen million dollar guarantee. But then they also have the allure of WSP goal bracelets. So it's like, how is this going to play out? From where I stand as an onlooker, as an industry person, I'm kind of here with like my popcorn in a way, just

I want to see how it all folds. I mean, they're just going they're going head to head like it's it's it's kind of crazy both like in a way where it's like why would you want to go head to head? Like is that really what's best for poker? But then it's also kind of crazy where it's like competition makes everyone do bigger things and strive to be better. So like there's a crow ton of money that's being guaranteed, are you

guaranteeing all that sort of stuff? Are you pushing the qualifier envelope as hard as you are if you don't have these this giant competitor going head to head with you, I don't know, maybe you are, but I mean this seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun. I'm gonna be interested to

see kind of like where notable players choose to go. Obviously, Yeah, that's what I care about the most, Like are we really are we going to say a real big push for bracelets and qualifiers and making that trip to Bahamas or people gonna be like, look, I'm going to stay home. I'm going to play the win. That's what I want to do. So it's going to be interesting to see where these players go and actually who you know, decides to pick which one they want a battle line. Yeah.

My feeling right now is a lot of the mixed game guys will probably stay in Las Vegas. Yeah, you know, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think there's that many mixed games if any onsity Paradise is there, is there any? Yeah, So I mean that's gonna be kind of like the the shot takers from Europe, A lot of them will probably go there, or I would say non US people will probably go there. Anyone who's like aspiring to chase bracelets can probably go there. Obviously there's

a ton of qualifiers can go there. And then the high rollers is probably a big thing because those high rollers there, you know, look like they're going to be pretty crazy. Yeah, the amount of people they're putting in. I think you're going to say a couple of people taking their shots.

So I think those will be fine. You know, when you say people from Europe are going to travel, yes, and no, don't forget ept Prague right around the corner, which is of course, Yeah, at that point, it's like, you know what's going to be what's going to be softer? Like where you know, where's my where's my ri going to be

better? And then in WPT World Championship, like I think for the the forty million dollar main event, the forty million dollars guaranteed main events, you know, you can go down played a lot of the WSP Paradise stuff and then you can come back and get into the WPT World Championship still, so you know, there's gonna be a ton of people that do that. I think a lot of the Vegas locals will probably stick around Las Vegas and then

we'll see, you know, kind of who else comes into town. Yeah, I mean, I'm just really looking forward to how it all unfolds. The only thing that I really have to go off of right now is that

WPT World Championship kicked off yesterday. So they kicked off with they had a six hundred dollar Omaha eight tournament that was won by Miami John Sernudo, which seemed like it got a decent turnout, and then they had they had this opening event that's a six hundred dollars buy in one million dollar guarantee tournaments. It has eight flights. They had the first two yesterday. They have already attracted more than six hundred entries the opening flight day one A, So they're

doing two flights a day, eleven am and six pm. The opening flight at four hundred and four entries, which is bananas to me, like because you always think that, like and I've played many of these multi flight tournaments at the win and like you think, okay, you know, it's you get like one hundred players, two hundred players on the first day, but then it progressively builds as you go, especially into the weekend. I mean, four hundred and four entries on a day one A. That's on a

Wednesday at eleven am. I mean that's just freaking wild. So like this million dollar guarantee is trending in fake guarantee territory. I mean, like if there's gonna get four million dollars in the price where something stupid, like what is happening? I'm ready to fire. I've got five bullets prepared for this stupid day, So let's go. I'm gonna I'm gonna try and do it on one trying to just bag some chips. But yeah, I mean, it's it's it's gonna be fun man to watch these two things go ahead to

head. Of course, there are a handful of PGT qualifying events as part of the Dovasity Paradise series, so Tim and I are going to be closely playing attention to that to see, you know, who challenges for makes their way into the top forty, like all all that sort of stuff as we move towards the PGT Championship in January. So yeah, I don't know you have any other thoughts on like this whole December craziness that's happening. I don't

like it. I don't like the fact they going to war. We could have all been civil, but you know, that's the bed that they have each made. So I'm honestly just gonna enjoy watching some live poker from Paradise. I'm gonna watch some live poker from the strip. I'm maybe going to play in event or two, but otherwise we're just sitting back just watching our

tours on a little bit of a you know, break work wise. So I'll put in some of the PGT results from Paradise, and then once these two wraps up, everyone's got to focus on us in January, so kind of looking forward to that. This is like a bit of a refresh reset kind of period for us from work wise. So I just gonna sit back and enjoy that time. Yeah, I mean, we just need to make sure from a PGT aspect that these guys have money left after December, because

there's a crap ton of stuff. I mean there's also the million dollar big one for one drop is happening at the win. Like that's already got what thirteen fourteen to fifteen players guarantee, you know, So, I mean this is just it's absolutely wild. I mentioned I'm playing the six hundred dollars opener. I'm gonna go down there tomorrow on Friday and get into the mix down there, Gonna play a handful of events, gonna play the WPT Prime.

I know, Tim, you were kind of eyeing possibly firing into that one. I mean this six hundred I mean six hundred dollar players in two flights, I got some time. I mean, you're you're definitely gonna You're definitely gonna see You're definitely gonna see the The second flight that takes place each day is gonna be a little bit smaller than the first plight just because it's a six pm start whatever. But i mean, still, you it, these

tournaments all always get bigger as the days go. So if you're drawing six hundred plus on the first of four days because they're doing two per day or for the eight flights, then I mean you're gonna get what eight hundred today, twelve hundred tomorrow. Like, I mean, it's just like, you know, it's like it's you might crast tomorrow because we have the Permiere meetup game, so you know, Today's and tomorrows might be pretty similar. I would expect. Yeah, I mean it's yeah, it's the whole thing is

gonna be wild. As I mentioned, I'm gonna play the prime. I'm gonna play the forty million dollar guarantee. What did I come in last year two thirty ninth, Yeah, you saved my Christmas. That's all. That's right, baby, let's go. I'm going to be in that. Then they got some fun events kind of at the tail end of the schedule. They got a three k three million dollar guarantee. I'm going to fire in that. They got a sixteen hundred two million dollar guarantee. I'm going to

fire in that how much do you make at this job? You must make three x what I make, so to be firing off all these events. I've said it before, I'll say it again. We enjoy being transparent. So somebody asked me today, somebody who bought some action and if anyone out there wants to buy action, shameless plug right here. But I did list some events on poker steak dot com. You can find me on there. I think that's where Tim got a piece of me. So let's go have

some action posted on there. But somebody asked me, you know, how much are you selling? I mean, I'll probably sell I don't know,

fifty percent of myself across everything that I'm playing. I mean, listen, if you want to, like talk about bank roll management, don't listen to me because because I fire hard in these things and the reason that I do it, and this is gonna sound like I'll just say this, it's it's advice that I learned from from somebody in the past where I think gave me some pretty good advice, and I've tried to take that advice and put it

to use as much as possible. Is that if you're in the position to have money like that you can like funny money in a way, like I have like money that I that I use for poker and it doesn't affect like anything else, Like I you know, the mortgage is covered, the bills are covered, the kids are covered, like all that shit is covered, right, and all this sort of stuff is is money that I have on

the side, and then hopefully that money grows through my poker plane. If if that money were if I were to just completely wipe that money out and it goes to zero, nothing in my life changes, because like I have a job, you know, my wife has a job, like like, thankfully we're in a position where we can do this. So basically what I'm getting that is that like if if you can afford to press edges harder,

I think it's worth it. And especially if you're younger, Like if you're somebody out there who's kind of like just getting into poker and you're like twenty three years old, kind of fresh out of college, I would fucking go all in. Like I mean, because you're young, you can always fall like in land on your feet and get back up and build back a bankroll and like all that sort of stuff. Like if you listen to a lot

of the old school poker players. I mean, they'll all tell you I would say probably ninety nine percent of them they probably went broke early on in their career, like seven times. But like early on, that's what it takes. You can't go broke when you're fifty. You're trying to prepare for your kids going to college and like that sort of stuff. So like, you know, have money that like you're willing to spend. Like I'm sure a lot of people out there have money that they're willing to spend on things

and it doesn't affect them. Like maybe you want to go out to eat once a week and like that costs you know, one, two, three hundred dollars depending on where you go, where you live, all that sort of stuff. But like and if that money's not affecting you, yeah, go do it. Have fun whatever. My fun is poker, So I

try to blast pretty hard when I can. You know, at the end of the day, if I make a run and like win WPT Prime, win the WPT World Championship, win any of the handful of WSP events that I play in the summer, it would kill me if I had like ten percent of myself. Yeah, I would would want, I would want.

I would be like, I can't handle this anymore so that you know, I'm gonna I need I need some bank equity, man, like let's go you know, so and worst case like, yeah, you fire hard in this dec I fire hard this December and like then I take January off, February off. I mean, but I already know that, like, given where I'm at that January is a ton of work for us. I'm not gonna be able to play it all. Yeah, February like very similar,

like like that's when our work is fucking gung ho. So like I'm barely gonna be able to like do anything. But yeah, I'll play online here and there. But like online you can really be bankrel conscious as you're trying to build things back up. You can find ten twenty fifty dollars tournaments that are extremely lucrative, right, you know, give you that same sort of feel and experience level when you're playing like a six hundred or a one K live or whatever it is. So so yeah, I mean that's just how

it is. I'm just saying, if you can afford to do it, I would say blest and that's why you're with you. I'm like, yeah, come play this six hundred. Let's go, man, like, this is the event is gonna be insane, take a shot, let's go. Yeah. I mean I'm fifty to fifty to play tomorrow, to be honest. Yeah, it's gonna be fun, and we all love to play at the win. It's a fucking great place to play. All right. So

now we're gonna get into a little bit of a fun segment here. Sim and I are gonna play some WPT and WSFP fantasy tims that are disadvantaged. Because I am fantasy king, I can say that because we won twenty fantasy Wow. Okay, alright, I'm ready, so I should get for us pick. Yes, I'm going to let you at first fit because of that. Okay, here's how it's gonna work. We're each gonna draft three players. Okay, we can't share players between us, but we're gonna draft.

Sorry, we're gonna draft six players total, or or up to six players total. So we're gonna draft a three player team for the WPT Festival and a three player team for the WSFP Festival. Okay, you can share players if you want to. Draft Philhalmouth on both of your teams. Go ahead, but you're gonna be maybe at a disadvantage because you know they're only gonna be able to play. You know, they can't play the full series of Bowl. But we're gonna do that. Only one thousand dollars and higher buying

events count. The scoring is gonna be pretty simple, most money won, largest single score and most cases, so basically like one point for each. And the reason why I'm doing one thousand dollars or higher for the buy in is because WPT World Championship Festival already kicked off, but the events that already happened are six hundred dollars buy in, so just gonna rule those out initially.

Listeners, you can participate, and I would encourage you all to do so, because we're gonna be giving away some prizes here if you do ultimately win. There's one catch. You cannot select any players selected by Tim and I. Okay, so whoever, if if Tim picks Tim or Phil Helmuth, you can't pick him. If I pick forl Iv, you can't pick

him. That said, we're doing our That said, Thursday, November thirtieth is when Tim and I are doing this, You guys have until Monday, December fourth, at eight am, Las Vegas time to get your selections in. Okay, and you get your selections in by emailing your two three player teams, one for WPT one for WSP. Please clarify in the email email them into podcasts at pokergro dot com. So you guys have a couple of days here to like, look through live reporting, check social media to see

where people are going whatever. Tim and I are doing this a little bit earlier than you guys, so you know, yes, you can't pick the players that we can. But you guys get a few more days to think things through, maybe laugh at the picks that Tim and I make, and go from there. And here's how you guys can win. If you sweep both Tim and Donnie. So you have to beat us in all three categories,

then we'll send you a poker Grol podcast swag pack. Okay. Oh yeah, so basically you put it to other WPT team and you beat us in the WPT, you beat both Tim and I with most money, one, largest single score, and most cashes. Boom, you you want to swag back. Okay. So that's how it's gonna go again, get your get your submissions in via email. We're only gonna do it via email. I'm not gonna do Twitter or you know whatever. Just send him in via

email. EA. The emails will be time stamps so I can see if you got him in by the deadline, Monday, December fourth, eight am, Las Vegas time. So I'm gonna go to bed Sunday night. I'm gonna wake up Monday morning. I'm gonna check everything at podcast at PokerGO dot com. Hopefully we get a bunch of submissions in. Hopefully you guys you know, get in there fire away, have some fun with this. I think it's gonna be cool. So I can't wait. I said, I'm

gonna let Tim go first. So I'm going to let Tim go first. And here's how we're gonna do it. Tim, you can pick, so it's gonna go. You get one, I get two, right, Yeah, because it's a snake. Okay, you can say, like Phil Helmuth WPT like he's gonna like your next pick would be your WWSP like you can kind of go back in the stand. Yep. So you do with the first pick in the in the inaugural w PT and fantasy draft him Duck with chooses Daniel mcgrinder Team w S O P. God, that's just I mean,

it's just it's the best pick. It really is. I mean, but of course, I mean yeah, of course, I mean what some other okay picks though, Let's come on, let's be honest. All right, you're up two picks, all right, I have to go, oh god, this one, this one's like so this is where it gets so tricky, like god, I don't know what to do. All right, I'm gonna m I'm in the tank. Sorry, I know this is like horrible radio, but like trying to figure out what I'm gonna do. Here

are you trying to decide between you? Shoot you take some WSP. I'll just got WP. I'm trying to take where if I should take this person or where I should put them? All right, I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Jeremy Osmas. Oh good one w s OP. That was not who I was tanking over, by the way, I I called an audible interesting. So that's my first pick. Ye. My second pick is I'm going with Andrew Lucky Chewye Lichtenberger. Oh WPT. I'm also banking on like what

I've kind of seen out there for where these guys are gonna be. So, if you're one of these players and you're listening, don't let me down. Okay, like Lickdenburger, better not go to Paradise. You actually threw me for a loop because my second player I thought you would have drafted. So now I'm like wondering if you know something that I don't know that maybe he's not going to Paradise. Who's that? Nope, I got enough confirmation I would like to draft Sean DEEB Team WSOP. Okay, you get another

pick, Team WSOP final pick, mister perker Steak himself. God, Joshua, I wanted to take him. Oh yeah, I know, I know I wanted to take him. Just lock it up. Just give me all the fake dollars that is up top in this fantasy job. That's the A plus team right there. Gosh, I'm like, I mean, I'm just so torn on some of this stuff. This feels like such a bad pick.

I just don't know I'm gonna go ooh. Alex foxon WPT interesting, he's sure he's not gonna Paradise, to be honest, I'm guessing because he's based in Las Vegas, because I'm pretty sure he's playing the Big One for one drop. He just sticks around here and blasts everything that said, even if he goes to w SP, I mean whatever. My next pick is going to be Jason Kuhn. He's on my w SP. Interesting, Okay, I had him on my WPT list and the guy that I'm very surprised

he didn't dropt. I got two picks, right, Okay, Team w PT Christopher Brewer, Team wpts Christopher Okay, Yeah, he's playing this big One. He's playing the Big One, I know, I mean, like you know, I just don't know is he coming for is he coming for the early WPT so I met, you know, I just all I can say is that he was at Ari yesterday, so maybe he's skipped. Doesn't start till Sunday, so plenty of time to get down him there with my next pick. Since you took Jason Kuhn, all right, I've got a

strategy. I'm going to be all in on the Big One for one drop. Oh second picks Nick Petangela, Nick Nikki P Yeah, Nikki P. This could be like a complete torch of a pick or a strategy, but I'm doing it Jason Kuhn WPT the double, the double, that's the stand double. So that this threw me off at the beginning because I was initially like, I'm gonna take Jason Kuhn. But then I was like, wait, he's probably gonna go to WSP Paradise. Of course, GG Poker Association

play all that big stuff there. Then he's gonna come back. But like we know, he only plays the biggest of the big so he's playing the million dollars Big One for one drop? But like, what else is he possibly gonna play at the WPT World Championship. That said, why I'm saying I think it might be a torches. I'm pretty much betting on Jason Kuhn to win the Big One for one drop with this pick for WPT. But hey, there are worse players to bet on the Jason Kuhn. So let's

go. Yeah, all right, I have one more pick. Yes, I have no idea. I need to do some research. Quickly, give me a second here, I should just pick I should pick mine then, because you doesn't, well, yeah, but what if I want to pick your guy? You can? But yours is WSP minds WPT. So it's fine if we can't share players, you can't share a player from the same no players at all. So I thought you could take Nigrano for team WPT. I thought it was a series specific. No, okay, I'll let

you go. Then you know what you go first? Do you just do yours. I'm just gonna four for go that because I'm still in the tank over here. I'm all in on the big one for one drop for my team WPT. I'm gonna draft Seminal twenty five K high Roller champion Alexi Ponokovs to my team. Come on down, Alexi, you are going to win. You're gonna go one two three with Nikki p and Chris Brewer in the big for one for one drop. It's just so annoying, all right,

I'm going me no, damn it. See, I think I already messed up with this pick of Alex Foxen for WPT because I see that Kristen Foxen has a crap ton of stuff listed for WSP Paradise. I mean that that said, it can still your research. Yeah, you wank fantasy last year. Sure, I think this was Matt Clark must have been. You know why I won the twenty five K Fantasy last year because I researched. Because

I researched, my face off. I have done no research for this, okay, as evidenced by the fact that I'm giving up picks to you so I can look through stuff online. Right now, I'm gonna go with espen Georstadt for my last WSP pick. He has stuff listed for both series. But I think the WPT stuff is the talent, Like they have a WPT Alpha eight. I don't know what else they have. So some names I had on my list. One name I was unsure about where he was going

was a Jesse Lonis. Like, I don't know if he's going to do. Your guess is as good as mine. Yeah, I thought a good WSP one obviously because we're doing you know, most money. Like there's a few different scoring categories. I thought Ben Yu could be a good one. Dylan Lindy could be a good one for WSP as well. But yeah, no, I'm obviously when I get the three best players that are going to

the WSP, can't complain about my team. So yeah, I want one person that I was I was looking at But I mean, I'm i'd say I'm probably like eighty percent confident that they're going to end up going to WSP Paradise. And this person has had success and big success at Atlantis before and that's China Reim, former PCA main event winner. Yeah, China Reim has been hot this year. He's obviously chasing PGT points. He loves you know, big buy and stuff, and that's where he really sells. You know,

it's like once you hit the five figure price point. China Reem's like one of the best players, you know, just in terms of results for what he does. The guy just for whatever reason, does extremely well. Has a bunch of stuff listed on poker Steak for the WSP Paradise series. That said, new Father, you know, there's obviously a lot of stuff going on out here in Las Vegas. So do you just kind of pass

up, do you cut your trip early? Like whatever? I mean, I I just don't know for sure, So I passed on that pick. But there's there's a lot of available players. Jonathan Little's got a lot of stuff listed for WSP Paradise, you know, like that, there's a lot of stuff available for listeners to build some teams. Get those teams into us again. Email your two teams, one for WPT Festival, one for the WSP Festival. Email them into podcasts at poker grow dot com. Play along

with us. If you sweep us in both If you sweep both of us, I should say I should reword that sense. If you sweep both Tim and Donnie in all three categories. Again, the categories are most money won, largest single score, and most cases, then we are going to send you a Poker Groat podcast swag pack. So yeah, it's gonna be fun. I can't I can't wait to see all this. I like having some skin in the game. So we need to do more of these fantasy sort

of things. I don't know if we'll make them as complicated as I made this lost PGT Lost Chance fantasy. We could dot Last Champion one thousand PGT Championship because we know forty of the players, and then we know the dream Sea winners, right like we We actually should probably create some sort of company promotion for that, So maybe we do that. But yeah, we can, uh, we can start doing more of these going forward. I think

I think they make for good, good content. All right, we got the Run Good Poker Series Dream Seat Invitational just wrapped up up at Thunder Valley. So what this was is, if you are a run Good ring winner, you could you earned eligibility to play in this event. I think it was a three dollars buy in, So there was a prize money on the side as well as Sorry, if you want a main events seat, you received entry. If you're a winn, you could buy it. You could

buy in. Yes, a run Good main event. Sorry. Yeah, So Jeff Platt won his ring after this was over, so he missed it unfortunately, but it is that's right. So there was the prize money up for grabs, but most importantly, there was a dream seat up for grabs for the winner. And that dream seat means you win your way to compete in the PGT Championship one million dollars free roll. So the winner Jeff Lennon. He is the winner of the event, the Run Good Poker Series Dream

Seat Invitational. We will see Jeff Lennon in January January ninth at the Poker Studio in Las Vegas. He will be playing alongside what could potentially be Daniel Legrand, You, Isaac Hackson, Andrew Liechtenberger, Steven Chidwick, Jeremy Austmas, Phil Helmet, et cetera. All these players the top forty of the PGT Lead Award. Jeff Lennon will be in there. He qualified through our partnership with the Run Good Poker Series. Lennon won his Run Good ring in

an eleven hundred dollars one day Deepsack event at Greyton back in March. He took home a bit over twenty thousand dollars for that win. That allowed him to earn the eligibility to play in the dream Set Invitational. And then he came out on top in the dream Set Invitational. He won that dream seat, so we'll see him in January at the studio. And then he also took home five four hundred dollars in prize money to go along with the dream Seat. Can't wait to see mister Lennon. I mean, it's just cool

to get these dream Seed winners in. We've got a handful of them that are going to be coming out to compete in the PGT Championship event, so very very cool there. And then Game of Gold, Buddy, we're through what episode nine? Now, yes, that sounds right. Nine episode nine, episode Well we just episode nine was released yesterday, which was Wednesday.

Episode ten comes tomorrow. We finally got some drama along the lines of what Tim and I we're talking about on the recent podcast episode if you listen to that, and what I mean by that is there was two big dramatic moments for me. One was you had David Williams freaking out against Charlie Carroll.

A lot of f words were dropped, yelling, like yelling, I mean, it's like and like also like the contrast in the characters, Like I'm not sure you could have two more contrasting characters right like you have you have David Williams, who like comes up in poker. He's always like extremely stylish, like he's got a diamond toothpick when he shows up to NBC heads up, Like his hair is always like lined up nicely, like he's driving a

tesla, like all this sort of stuff. Right on the other side, you have a very free going Charlie Carroll, long hair down to his chest. He's wearing a shirt that's just wide open showing his body. Like, I mean, it's just the contrast of the character. Charlie's trying to take like a very zen approach to like this argument. David's just dropping the F bombs yelling at him. Andy Stacks is like just kind of in there, like trying to be like the mediator between the two, but he was not

working as the mediator. He's like, guys, you know, guys, guys. David's like fuck this, fuck that whatever, and Charlie's like, you can't be doing this to me when I'm about to go play, like you're messing with my energy. Like the whole thing was just that's the type of entry. And then after it all, they hug it out like they hug it out and they're like I love you man, Like let's go in there and win. So like that's the type of like fun reality TV drama

that we wanted to see. So that was the first one. The other one was you had Olga Emilcheva starts crying because because she she lost a heads up turbo sitting goo like with a with a bad structure against a good player. Like it's like, you know, I don't know, I know, but I know it shows that she cares. But I'm saying like I didn't expect it to happen, Like so she's like she's extremely upset that she first you have before she even goes to play, you have her in her team

room. It's her, it's Nikita Kuther and it's uh Robin Poker, which I forget his real name, but well, Lucas Robinson, Lucas Robinson, I always forget is known by Robin Poker, but uh, Lucas Robinson is like super positive, we're gonna win. We gotta believe. I know it's gonna be hard, but we got this whatever, and Olgus like flat out like we don't have a chance waiting a miracle. It's not gonna happen whatever.

So like in a way, she's like she's on one side of it, like going into the match and like you know, Lucas Robinson's like trying to amper up, and then nikey To comes in. She's like, guys, let's all hold hands, let's meditate. The whole episode's all over the place. Then Olga goes into the match, loses, and she's crying because

she let her team down and didn't perform well. And I'm like that's such a one eighty from where you were premat so like yeah, and like she's in there, Lucas Robinson has to go out and play and take on Charlie Carroll for the next round, and like Nikid is trying to console her on the couch, she's crying. She's crying in that little one on one interview they do with her, like, yeah, she feels bad, so like it shows that she really cares about performing well, probably for herself and also

for the teammates. You know, she maybe she's crying because she feels like she just looked like an idiot or something on TV. I don't know. I don't know exactly why she's crying. It's probably all of those things like thrown into a pot and involved in one thing. But yeah, but those two like dramatic moments. I think we're good. The one that happened before, like you know, Jungleman and Yo Viral, like that was I feel

like the highlights overplayed it. It wasn't really it didn't really meet expectation, Like I was thinking they were really good. I loved it. Oh yeah, yeah, it was fun, don't get me wrong, But like I was expecting more. I was expecting more like David Williams Charlie Carroll, which I think was like way more like in your I mean, David Williams went in like he was like, no, this is fucking wrong, like what

like blah blah blah. The whole thing was was pretty crazy. So so yeah, I definitely think they need to lean into that sort of stuff more. My my concern would be that we got the drama that we wanted, at least you and I wanted, and I know you and I have talked to a lot of people that have kind of like agreed on wanting more drama with a reality based show like this. We got it in episode nine.

So did you lose people before you really showed it? Which hurts? Like do people just kind of turn it on they're like, yeah, I'm not really into this. It's kind of whatever, so I'm just not going to continue. But if you would have stuck around, you stuck it out episode nine, they delivered like the people are screaming at each other like okay, yeah, one person crying like let's go. This is it? So yeah, So I guess those are like my initial thoughts overall, and I'll let

you kind of give yours right now. No, I agreed with everything you just said. I I liked how I know, we discussed Maria or a little bit last time. She got a little spicy. She was given it to jungle, you know, like are you scared of girls? And like giving him a bit of a bit of shick while they're playing heads up. So I enjoyed that. Obviously she crushed the heads up matches and wanted for her team. But yeah, I think we got some drama. Did they

leave it too late? Maybe? But I'm still in. I'm still ready. I'm ready for tomorrow's episode, ready for Monday's episode. I'm all in on Game of Gold. I think Maria has really like shined through. Yeah, overall, so I think probably mostly from her play and listen, she addressed it, you know, right to the camera. She said, you know a lot of times people kind of put me in this little bucket where I'm a really good female poker player. And she said, I'm a really

good poker player. And that's true. Like if you know Maria and you've watched her the years, and you watch the play, she's a very good poker player. Like she doesn't have to be, you know, put in this little camp of just the women. No, she's extremely good overall, I think you can probably hear that when you've listened to her on commentary or when you've watched her over the years. She's on tons of live streams, you know, throughout she's made some deep runs and tournaments all that sort of

stuff, so you've probably been accustomed to that. But then also like watching her in this element, I thought she played extremely well in the heads up format, which is which is good. So yeah, that that team to me, well, I don't I don't know how long that team's gonna go forward, but the team of Mariajo josh Aria, Fador Holtz, like that was a fun team to me. You know, like josh Ari always like kind of rooting in the background. You got the the strategy and the the

analytical side from Fador, who you know. I mean they talked about at the beginning, like Fador kind of coached them a little bit or gave them, you know, some tips early on, some advice on how to approach the heads up stuff. So you get like that sort of element from things. And then Marie just went out there and did her thing and crushed it. So yeah, I mean, I'm I'm excited for it going forward.

I don't really know what's how it's going to continue to play out, Like, I just don't know where the format's going from here, you know, Like when do they break up to individuals? Right Like, obviously that's gonna happen because there's only one another. I'm guessing there's another vote off soon and then they'll be down to well I think, I think so. Right now they're in they're in four teams of three. Yeah, two teams that one

are like in the finals. The other two teams are in the loser's brackets. So I'm assuming the loser of the loser's bracket is going to be gone see you later. And that's why the team of Lucas Robinson, Olga Imocheva, Nikita Luthor like need to do so much because they have the lowest amount of gold coins total among their teams, so they need to they need to. I don't know if they can do it now that that Olga loss to

Charlie Carroler. I don't know if they needed to sweep all the matches or how that worked out, but they you know, they they need to beat them for sure to even give themselves the chance of advancing. And then we'll we'll see where it goes from there. So I'm still kind of out on dan Keats and then we talked about it last time, but like, you know me, listen, Kina England is like trying to engage with him, Yeah, and he's just like not, he's not into it, like or

he's asleep or he's asleep. It's like, dude, you're killing me here. So yeah, the only thing I like about Jungle is that Vasaci shirt. He was wearing the red and I looked at I was like, oh, I could put I send this to a photographer Antonio because we were both We're both watching the episode and I was like, I dig this shirt. I really want to buy the shirt. Looked it up, you know,

a thousand dollars. So I quickly decided not to get that shirt. But yeah, johnle bottom of the barrel, Charlie, you're heading down that way. Maria trending up, Olga, she's trending up too. Showed shit that she cared. I think that's important. David Williams MVP. All we needed was a punch, just a swing that it was so good like I could have I honestly, I could have without the the hugging and making up at the end of it, just let it stew, you know, like fighting.

You know. I also think it's I think it's interesting because like poker is such a small industry, like comparatively to like other really big industries, right that, Like I've seen a lot of the players. I've seen fad Or, I've seen Charlie Carroll, I've seen Jungle Man, like get on

social media and likes say their thoughts or defend themselves. And like, I don't know if I see like people on from regular reality shows or maybe I'm just not paying this close attention and I could just be totally wrong, but like go on social media and like defend themselves to some sort of community or whatever. Like are people on like the Challenge who fight each other? Like, are they like then going on social media and like defending themselves. I

don't know, I feel like that's kind of that might be more. It might just be that I see it more because I'm in poker, so I see all the poker of course, which which certainly could be. But there's definitely some of that out there, like, you know, so if you if you're out there and you're watching these episodes, I would say hop on social media afterwards, because everyone seems to be like interjecting their thoughts on like either like some of the decisions that were made for like who goes first,

or that maybe some of the hands that were played. Certainly some of the more dramatic moments that have happened, you know, people are saying like, I, you know, I felt this way, I felt that way, you know whatever, So that stuff is all out there to consume, and overall, I think it's it's it's it's rounding, it's rounding the corner in a way. You know, you and I are both like, we need more of a drama element to this whole thing, and now we've turned a

corner. So we'll see if that keeps up going forward. And yeah, I mean I also enjoy the Josh and Fatal romance because yeah, they're very I think that I would say they kind of poll the opposite poker plays, right, we have well one's young, ones old, one's a live player,

one's an online like or came from the online world, right. You know, it's like they're just they're so different and they're bonding over you know that the team camaraderie, you know, the teammate Maria crushing and that bit's actually been like they win a big pot, they embraced this massive hug and

high fives like that's fine. Like shows that like also shows that those two care too, And I think for sure, yeah, I would say also like Andy Stas just feels like the odd man out and like the whole thing, like he's just he's very quiet, he doesn't have a loud personality. He's he's just there, like he's a cash game player, while all of these guys are predominantly MTT guys. So yeah, yeah, I mean it is a Viral might be cashed or Jungleman might be cash. I mean they

play tournaments. Of course, Viral has a lot of empty t success general, I know, but he also plays a lot of like high stakes cash plays and bobbies and like stuff like that, right, so you know, he's kind of like a he can do do it all type of thing, whereas you know, Andy Stax is for sure like I just play cash like that's what I do, you know. So so yeah, which I'm I guess I'm a little bit surprised because I think a lot of success live cash

game guys, which I think Andy stacks is. I think he's very good at live cash. They have a lot of personality and they are pretty colorful. Because in order to keep games fun, to keep getting into good games like, you have to have that, right. You can't just be like a robot at the table, right. You can be a robot at the table in a tournament, doesn't matter, but in a cash game like, there is some ofch sort of that stuff like it. You know, it

trends on the into the politics of the whole live cash game scene. But but yeah, I'm interested in that. So so yeah, it's it's a it's been a fun watch. I'm certainly into it again. I think, going back to what we talked about last time, the big takeaway that I have is that there is an appetite for this within poker. So I'm excited to see what possibly happens with season two. We won't get into it now, but I'm just gonna put it out there so Tim and I can start

thinking of it. Is that as this season comes to a close, we should start thinking of who we would want to see on season two, which I think would be that could be a fun extit size you know, down the road. But of course, still in season one here of Game of Gold. It does air on the gg Poker YouTube channel every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I've heard they have fourteen total episodes, sixteen total episodes, eighteen total episodes during the season. I have no idea how many they

have. They've done nine. Another one's coming out tomorrow, So we got a handful of them coming up, and we're gonna see how this goes. I'm guessing after we get out of this this heads up group stage that they're in and we're gonna be left with nine players would be my guess is how it works. That's when they break into individual stuff. But we'll see how it goes. Even yeah, some kind of maybe they have to get down at eight and then we can split it up. The heads up they're like

a bracket stole. Maybe we'll see how it goes going forward. But Tim and I are both fans, and uh, we're gonna be talking about this, I don't know, every every week or so, every time there's a new like handful of episodes. Yeah, we're gonna hit on this and uh yeah, but yeah, that's gonna do it for the pod again, don't forget to get your submissions in for the WPT and w SP fantasy that Tim and I are running, and I really don't think we have anything else.

No, hopefully we got Sixtus. Good luck to you too. Let's go get out there. You're coming to play, and hopefully we can update the tomorrow tomorrow eleven a. M. All right, I'm coming, I got bullets, I'm ready to go. I'm ready to fire like blast away baby to the moon. Hopefully I do like I think what Ryan Laplant did. One bullet, find a bag, decent, stack a bunch of days off, return on Sunday, and continue on. That's that's the goal. So

all right for Tim Duckworth, my name is Donny Peters. We're gonna wrap it up here and we will talk to you guys next week. Face
