Hello everyone, Welcome back to a brand new episode of the Poker Go Podcast. My name is Donny Peters. I am joined by Tim Duckworth, who Hello, has you know you know what they're saying, He's got one foot out the door. We are in wood Remco Rinkima and I commonly refer to as the closets where they put us for secondary commentary streams, and it's pretty

cramped in here. I moved our set up off of one desk because there looked like there was some stuff going on in the computer that I didn't want to accidentally have someone hit, So I moved us over to the other side of the room, of the very small room, which is about four feet in wid. It's absolutely freezing cold in here. Yeah, it's absolutely freezing cold in here. Tim's taking a self you can find that on his Twitter

account. Tim Underscore Underscore Duckworth, do you want to check out what exactly I'm talking about right now? It's freezing cold in here. I love it freezing cold. I requested it to be freezing cold in here, and you want to know what I'm talent now, So guess what, bitches, I will request it to be cold and I think it's fifty five degrees in this room. Tim is literally sitting out the door out the hallway. He took the mic up the mic stand. He's rolled the chair into the hallway and

is about eight feet away from me. I like the cold. I hope this is Sue damn. I hope our producer can wrangle whatever sort of audio issues we're going to be bringing to you guys today. This is absolutely I would take a picture, but my phone is dead and I'm charging in the other room. But anyway, I digress way off track. The twenty the twenty twenty three Poker Masters. He's done. We have a purple jacket winner, and that winner is none other than Stevie four four four Steven Chidwick.

He takes down the prestigious purple jacket. He wins the Poker Masters, he wins the fifty thousand dollars championship bonus. Stevie had a great series, great series overall. Steven Chidwick topped the leaderboard with six hundred and eighty eight points. He had one victory he won at ven number eight twenty five thousand dollars.

No him and hold him for four hundred thousand dollars he had four cashes total he cashed for in the tournaments alone, he cashed for more than one point one million dollars, and then you add that fifty K championship bonus, so cash for one point one five nine million dollars total. At the twenty twenty three Poker Masters it took until the final event, the finale, for

Stephen Chidwick to take the top spot on the lead award. Ever since event number one, Lithuanian Vladis Thomasowskis was the top man on the Poker Masters Series leaderboard. He won the first event, which obviously put him on top of that leaderboard. He stayed on top because he made the final table of event

number two. He stayed on top even more because he won event number three, and then he was on top from there until the final event until Steven Chidwick got heads up in the fifty thousand dollars noleman holding finale with Jonathan Jaffee. Steven Chidwick ultimately finished in second place in that event four five hundred and four thousand dollars, so didn't win the final event, but still did enough

to finish a top the series leaderboard. And then Jonathan Jaffey going on to win that final event took home seven hundred and fifty six thousand dollars in prize money. First things first, I gotta check in with the commissioner. Would you think, what are your takeaways from the Poker Masters? How did it go? Are you happy? Are you sad? Where that it's just so beautiful? How this point system works, and how we have a sweat to the very last hand nearly. I think it was great. I think it

was a great turnout. We had some incredible numbers in the early buying events. We were completely surprised by the field size in the fifty k, you know, I think I set a line at twenty four something crazy and we ended up getting forty two players forty two entrants. Sorry, So that was great, Just another great series. You know. We crushed it compared to Lassies Poker Masters in numbers both entrants and prize pools. And that series had

two extra events, So all in all, great series. Yes, seven hundred and I think it's seven hundred and forty two total entries across the ten events at this Poker Masters more than eleven million dollars in prize money awarded total, So very good. Turnout overall all, got some new faces in the mix that I like to see him in. I already mentioned Thomas Awskis, but you know, it's always good to get some new guys out there,

some new blood in these PGT majors battling for the titles. Of course, we saw plenty of the guys that we see around these parts, you know, quite a bit. And leading into Super High Rollable that's going to kick off on Thursday, September twenty eight, I think this is kind of a great little, I don't know, momentum builder, you know, going into that event kicking off the second half of the PGT season. One thing that I will say that is kind of secondary to the Poker Masters, that that

I'm kind of surprised about. And you can let me know if you're surprised about it or not. But I thought Chris Brewer would retake the top spot on the PGT lea. I know, he had enough shots at I mean ten events at the Poker Masters, not just ten events, but he made the final table what's three he came in trailing that basically made him been champion Daniel Wineman. I thought he would get it done, you know, the year that Chris Brewer's having, the amount of events that are had here,

the amount of points that we thought would be up for grabs. As you mentioned, he certainly gave himself shots to do so, put himself in contention, but ultimately fell a little bit short. But you know, I would imagine over the next month or so, he'll probably overtake Daniel Winman, if not someone else. I mean, it depends. Daniel Wineman, I think is like in Europe somewhere swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. So look, we've

also had that Daniel Wyman's coming here for the mix game series. Really we have yes who heard that the commissioner. Look, I just had things but okay, Chris Brewer could take the lead, but I feel like we may see Wineman, but I would come. I've got twelve million dollars in the bank. I'm just sitting in Grace getting the sun time. But no, of course, so let me quickly just run through the winners that we had

in the ten events at the twenty twenty three Poker Masters already mentioned. Vladis Thomas Auskis comes out of the gate wins event number one four, two hundred and thirty nine thousand dollars. Then it's Darren Elias beating Eric Baldwin and event number two, Elias taking home two hundred and twenty three thousand dollars. An event at number three, Vladis Thomas Auskis once again finds the winner circle. He takes home two hundred and eight thousand dollars in that one. Chino Reem

wins event number four two hundred and eighteen thousand dollars. Chinorem cashed five times at the twenty three Poker Masters. Chino Reem and Alex Foxon were the two players to cash the most at the twenty twenty three Poker Masters. They cashed five times each. Foxton did not win a title, but Chino ween did. He win won event number four that I just mentioned. Event number five, Andrew Lucky Chiwie Lichtenberger takes it down for two hundred and four thousand dollars

on his thirty sixth birthday. Then it's Orpaned Cassett Chicagolo winning event number six for two hundred and eighteen thousand, five hundred dollars. Then the first of the three twenty five K buying events, Nick Schulman takes down the first one. Event number seven, three hundred and seventy four thousand dollars is the pay Day four Nick Schulman. Event number eight. Steven Chidwick the twenty twenty three

Poker Masters Purple Jacket winner. He won Event number eight for four hundred thousand dollars, the largest twenty five k event of the three on the schedule, Justin Bontomo taking home event number nine. He won three hundred and thirty three thousand dollars in that one, made a great call heads up with Asi to take home the title. And then the final event, Jonathan Jaffee takes it down seven hundred and fifty six thousand dollars for him his only cash to the

series, the only event he played of the series. So he comes in kind of like Isaac Haxton did in Poker Go Cup, comes in for the final event and just wins it. That's what he does. But in that final event, as I mentioned before, Steven Shitwick finishing in second place to take home five hundred and four thousand dollars and grabbed that purple jacket. What's your Chino ream story? First of all, I want to give a shout out to China Room five cashes. It serious. He was coming into this

final event. The final day of the final event, eight players remained, six cashed and there were what six players? Six players could win the purple jackets. Yeah, so Vladas Thomas Auskis needed to fade pretty much everything under the sun to be able to hold onto that that purple jacket that he had one hand on. Steven Chidwick could win it, Alex Foxon could win it, Brian Kim could win it, Chino Ream could win it, Nick Petranjelo could win it. And was it somebody else that was six people? Right?

Yeah, that's five somebody that finished in eighth places. I forget who it was. I can't even remember. This is how bad we are at our jobs. Anyway, go ahead back to China five. Cash is very impresident. He's playing every event while also multi tabling on Kings, playing heads up mix and you know, six handed mix. Today before the final table he was playing Chat Eve Sledge heads Up. I'm like, this guy just

just wants to be in all the action. Bit. Yesterday, after he busted Event nine, he went over to carry Kats out Lord and Savior. I said, carry, Is there a price for a second carry? Goes no, it's his first he goes nothing. Chino's like nothing, carries like I'll give you a hug. So gave him a hug. So, Chino, you gotta hug for now. What is a third place finish on the Poker Master's leaderboard, ren Lyn, He could have won? Yeah, but

anyway, Yeah, Chino's just a good series. Chino's out there blasting he had he had a good series. Did Chino m you know, ultimately he didn't have some good series? Hold on, hold on, We'll get to the people that bombed out in a second, because because there were several you know, yes, so Chino m ends up with one win. As I mentioned earlier, five cashes makes six hundred and two thousand dollars in prize money from those Volad Thomas Auskis. So let me just run down actually the top

five on the Poker Masters leaderboard as it finished out. Steven Schiwick number one, of course, six hundred and eighty eight points. He had one win, he had four cashes, more than one point one million dollars in earnings. The only player, by the way to earn more than one point one million dollars. Vladis Thomasouskis finished in second place, two wins, three cashes,

five hundred and six thousand dollars in prize money. It's really great to see Thomas Auskis, you know, be that newcomer on the PGT scene. Hopefully we see more of him in some of these majors that we have on the PGT. Chinorem finished in third four hunerd and eighty seven points, one win and five cashes, six hundred and two thousand dollars in prize money. One Alex Foxon he joined Chinorem as the only other player to cash five times

at the Poker Masters. Foxton finished in fourth on the leaderboard with four hundred and sixty points and six hundred and sixty three thousand dollars in prize money, and then Jonathan Jaffee fifth on the leaderboard fourner and fifty four points, one cash, one win, seven hundred fifty six thousand dollars in prize money. So that is the top five. A lot of a lot of moving and

shaking on the PGT leaderboard. But some of the players that didn't move and shake too much are the ones that I'm assuming you're going to bring up that didn't have a good Poker Masters. The three that come to mind for me Daniel Lagran you yep, Jeremy Osmas yea, and carry Cats. Those three didn't do well. I will also throw an honorable mention into Phil Halmuth. He didn't play yeah, so dead to us. He didn't have a good

Poker Masters series. But coming into the Poker Masters series, Phil Hanmuth was

what eleventh on the PGT leaderboard so thereabouts. So I assumed that after the success that we saw in the spring at USPO, after seeing the success that he had at the World as a poker, obviously winning his bracelet, I would have thought that, you know, we'll see more of him as he tries to solidify himself on this PGT leaderboard, to stay in the top forty, to give himself the most chips for the championship, all of that good stuff. But he didn't show up. He didn't show up at all.

So I don't know if we're gonna see him for mixed games. I don't know if we're gonna see him for PLO super high Roller role, all that sort of stuff. But I mean, not a good start to the second half of the season four. Phil Hummy fans out there because he didn't show, which is a bit of a moment. He falls out of the top forty. I think you're gone. Who do you have anyone else that that didn't do too too well? I mean, I don't want to throw too many people on the bus, but those three, uh the top of the

list for you know, the not performing too well. He at the Pokamus's. But look, those three guys you mentioned, they all play mix, they all play PLO. They're very likely maybe not Jeremy top in the three hundred k to jump in the hundred kpl Jerry was originally planning. Jemmy Ozzs was originally planning to play in Super High Rollable. He had it listed on poker steak dot com, but pulled that listing down late. I talked to him today, said he said he he's still on the fence, but leaning

that he won't play. But we know these guys, I mean, that can change any any day. So you know, maybe maybe Jamie takes a day off or two and then comes back on Thursday and fires into that three hundred k. Will see I would love to see him in there, you know. The more of the marrier of course in that event, what else

you got anyone? No, Eric Sidell and maybe put him on the list he kind of you know, yeah, you know, there was a lot of players that that I thought were setting themselves up for maybe not to have a big series, but to play all of the events have big volume. One person that that we saw early on that I don't think we saw too much later was Byron Caberman, who has you know, kind of taken some time away doing the whole family thing all that sort of stuff. But we

saw him. Yeah, you know, but you know, Byron's played huge stakes before, so I just assumed that we would just see him for the whole series, like this is kind of his you know, come back to to high Roll or some but but I guess not so so. Yeah, but anyway, I thought it was a really good series overall. I'll give you someone else. Okay, you're not gonna like this, going, oh gosh, God, Okay, King John Events, I guess he just wins

his WSP bracelet bracelet Online. Congrats to King John Reard in the third and then just you know, didn't decide to show up anymore. Yeah, I'm looking at the list of how many events people played, but there was a lot of new people which was in the ten case, so like you know, those people that might not have put a lot of volume in, we saw a lot of new people out there battling. You know, one person that I was happy to see battling, and a lot of the events,

Bin Wang. We obviously have talked many times out the year that Ben Waging is having, so it's good to see him now jumping into three events. Not good enough. Yeah. See, the problem with Nacho is like if the high stakes cash games are going on around Vegas like good luck, you know, like he's just gonna get pulled into them. That's how he is. I mean, I saw Patrick Antonios put on his Instagram today that he's back in town playing high stakes mix. So maybe that just plays him to

the fact that Nacho is gonna be stuck playing high stakes. Wait were you for all the ten cakes? Yeah? Him, he came late. Samuel Loskowitz, he did great, he came out, He did great. You know, NW kid on the block here as well. So a lot of price je Jeremy Becker get crushing those those win nightlies. He's got some haters for it. He's got some lovers for it, but he took a swing with the big boys in this event, had some cashes. So good on

Jeremy Becker and hopefully we see him in some of those events. Dan Shack, we didn't see him too much, saw him kind of early, but that's it. Yeah, five of the ten case he played. Yeah, So, I mean, all in all, i think it was a very very good series and I'm excited to continue on with the second half of the

PGT. I mean, we're starting into Super High Rollable. It seems like spirits are extremely high for Super High Rollable three hundred thousand dollars buying freezeout format Action starts on Thursday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday live streaming on Poker Grow every single day. Hall and Nick Schulman will be on the call defending champion Daniel Negra on you, I mean who who like last year had twenty four entries, right yep? I said twenty six entries not too long ago.

TD Paul Campbell snaps the over im this Tim's over here. I'm being a Debbie downersimistic, being a Debbie downera Duckworth Downer trying to trying to pick the unders that's you. We're in your Twitter handle. I mean, who are we gonna get? I said we should try and like guess the field. Yeah, and how many as you get? I got to twenty Yeah, I got to nineteen and then I struggled to get the twentieth one. So so yeah, I don't I don't know who if we're gonna get there

unless we're sending in Hawaii, it's gonna be on this. I don't. I don't know any of these people coming from who knows. You always get some surprises. You know, we're gonna see the Jason Kohn's the Justin Bonnimo Is Isaac has include Seth Davis. Yes, I did include set He played two events this serious. Yeah, but I don't know. I feel like that's the special one. That's when he's not gonna miss you include Lucky Chewi.

Yes, okay, he said he was gonna play. He said he was gonna play the other No, No, he played last ye, so I would put him on list. Said he was gonna play Jason Kohn, Justin Bonnimo, Isaac Haxton, Lucky Chewi, Brian Rast, Chris Brewer, Adrian Matteos, Talasha Kerci orpan Casse Chicagolu, Dan Smith. Dan Smith was the first player to buy in. I'm assuming Brian Rass he's been playing these high buying events. I'm assuming we get him in there. One wild card

we could see who I think it would be his first time. John Jaffee, Yeah, he's been playing some of these really big stuff, so we'll see if we get him. Get him in there. Daniel Daniel res I. I feel like it's on the fence. He could go either way. To me, he's been absolutely blasting all these tournaments. You know, he's made a couple of final tables. He's had some success. So who else? Kry Aldemir, I'm assuming he's gonna play. I mean he could.

He's also kind of on the fence. I feel like Razia is full thirty percent to play, seventy percent to not at least in my mind, and then I say Karai is like sixty two percent play, forty percent not play. Yeah. I guess the question is is Kry is sticking around for the mixed games in the PLO series. If he is here for mixed games, I could see him skipping the three hundred K. So just fire off you know two hundred K and buy ins in the Mixed Game series. That's my

thought. Yeah, sure I would. I would absolutely love to see Vladis Thomas us because I know but like sell some action pert do whatever. Oh yes, we'll count the money. I think he count the money. Stopped Stop Kim could be a possibility. We already know Darren Ellis isn't gonna play. He said he's heading home. Yeah. Ren Lynn says that he's not gonna play. Ren Lyn would be awesome to having that frill and said he's also skipping the PLOS series. A crazy custom. He's a crazy person.

Do we do we see? Eric said l he's played it before, he's had success in the before. You know. Okay, here's another good wild card for you. Ready ready. Brandon within May came out, played the first two events and then took a couple of days off. Then he fired the twenty fives ks and then the fifty. He could certainly play. Paul Jager lurking around. He has, he popped his head in here today so he you know, he was a newcomer, completely unknown newcomer that walked into

play the Super high Roller Bile last. He could very much be back this year, you know. I mean, he's been out there around so so we'll see if we see him out there. Yeah, I mean I don't. I don't know Bryn Kenny I believe is playing, or so I've been told, you know, But we'll see obviously, Daniel Lagron and you will get in there as the defending champion. But yeah, I mean, it's it's tricky, you know, to try and name people that we're gonna get

up there. But I feel like every year we kind of struggle to think about who's gonna play, and then there's gonna be five people that you know, pop their heads in. Sam's overrel is a total wild card to me, Like, I have no idea what that guy's gonna do. Ever, I feel like he will show up and then decide if he wants to play. Oh we didn't mention carry cats. He'll be in there for sure. Battle He just texts me what time does the late registration and why is it?

Why is he registering late? So he this one doesn't matter as much. But I think he's I mean, I don't want to speak for it. He might be preserving he's bullets. There's only one bull in the other events, so like that's why it doesn't matter if it is highrollable. Yeah, okay, I would like to see someone you know who you know who? I would like to see Alex Kulev. I would like to see him Leon Stern, like all those guys like that that that really you know,

blew up somebody else. By the way, because I'm looking at the PGT leaderboard, Sean Winter, where are you at Cyprus? Yeah? We heard he's overseas. What's he doing? Like? Where is he at? He would Nacho Barbaro play the super hier rollable and he plays the huge triton stuff,

right, but sexual value in those ones? I mean, how can how can it be the year of Nacho if you skip that event right, that year of Notch, it's the year of Notcho on his own terms, Yes, okay, that's how it's gonna race, thoughts, And he doesn't decided about it because pressy on switch listen. I think I think we're confident that we'll get twenty. Like I'm pretty confident that we'll get twenty and then

hopefully we get you know, six stragglers coming on in. You know, they find just three unk in their pocket and they come on over and play. I don't really have anything else to talk about. We just wrapped up Poker Masters. Congratulations to Steven Chitwick. Stephen Chitwick now twenty eighteen us PO Champion, twenty twenty two PGT Player of the Year and twenty twenty three Poker Masters Champion. Also also come on, what else Australia Open Champion. Yes,

twenty twenty. We're leading into Super High Rollable. As I mentioned, Action kicks off on Thursday September twenty eighth September twenty eight through September thirty three straight days of live streaming on Poker Grow. Then we get into PGT Mix Games starts October fifth. Yea, so PGT mix game starts October five. Might as well break the news to everyone that hasn't heard, but we won't be streaming mix games. What here's the deal. It's not that we're not

trying. Tim has tried his ass off to make this happen. Unfortunately we just couldn't get the We're doing a renovation within the studio to get an additional space. The space that used to be like they we call it the Triangle Studio. It's basically like the breake desk room, green screen room, in it, whatever, it's a separate room, but we're renovating that whole thing so we can do additional streaming from that room. That needs to be done

in order for us to stream. And the reason why that needs to be done we can't do it on the main set is because the turnouts for PGT Mix games and the PGTPLO series are so big that we need to take the regular set out of the main room and put additional tables to play on in there. So a little bit of a jigsaw puzzle here at the studio, but we're trying to make it happen. Halfway through October though, the first ever super high rollable PLLO, first time we've ever done a PLO super high

rollable, and I believe this is the highest buying PLO tournament ever. Yeah, it is. There, you go. Tim's p about that. So the players, the PLOW players really pushed for it. So I believe I've said it before. I know I've told Tim before, they pushed you to get this on the schedule. You got it on the schedule. They better freaking show up, Okay, they better show up. Chris Brewer on one of the streams at the Poker Masters. He said he thinks it's gonna get

seventy entries. It's one hundred k buy in. It has re entries, want one entry or put multiple one r entry. So we know those PLO guys like the blasts off, so I think we'll get a lot of guys there. That's a three day event. We're going to be streaming the second two days, so Day two and the final table, and then that leads right into the PGT PLO series and for that we are going to be streaming some select final tables from that series. So how many getting You're pretty pumped.

How many tables in the studio? You tell me at fifteen tables? How many do we have last year? Fourteen? Yeah, so we got one more table. We're ready for you guys this year. Things were insane last year. They were insane last year, so we're ready for that. So that's gonna take up pretty much all of October. Yeah, you know, Mixed Games, Superheroable PLO and then the PLO series. It's nut cutting time for those people that are trying to make it into the top forty of

the PGT leaderboard. Of course, the top forty qualifies for the season Andy PGT Championship one million dollars free role. That's gonna have a five hundred thousand dollars first place prize. As always, you guys can check out PGT dot com. Tim and the team are going to be handling live reporting. There's news and articles there, there's the leaderboard, there's the schedule, there's all that good stuff, and then for your live streaming purposes head on over to

poker go dot com. I got nothing else to talk about unless you do. I would like to go home. It is to be like full different family pots stories. If you want something, Nope, it's almost eleven PM, so family Pot's gonna have to wait till another day. I'm sorry. All right, that's gonna do it for us. My name is Johnny Peters, his name is Tim Dockworth, and we will talk to you guys next time. Face right to night. Changing spread
