Episode description

Today we sat down with two powerhouse union leaders from the heart of our federal environmental workforce: Tricia Edwards, president of AFGE Local 3907 at the EPA lab in Ann Arbor, and Nicole Marie, a fired NOAA employee and union member of AFGE 3908 at the Great Lakes Lab.

They’re speaking to us today not as bureaucrats, but as union members—sounding the alarm about how the Trump administration’s so-called "Department of Government Efficiency" DODGE is dismantling the agencies tasked with keeping our water clean, our air breathable, and our planet livable.

We talk about the real-world impact of these cuts on scientific research, public health, and environmental safety—and how federal union members are fighting back.
