Episode description

In this special bonus episode, I want to share how you can be part of an awesome social good initiative thanks to the good folks at Podchaser and Captivate.

Podchaser is a podcast directory – think of it as the IMDB of podcasting. Here, you can follow shows, follow creators, create lists of your favourite podcasts, and more.

As part of their #Reviews4Good program, Podchaser will donate $0.25 for any review left on their platform to Meals on Wheels America's Go Further fund. Additionally, for every review left on an individual episode, they will donate a further $0.25.

Not only that, but any time a podcaster replies to a review, they will donate a further $0.25.

Double the Donation Thanks to Captivate!

But it gets even better! My podcast host, Captivate (disclaimer: I'm on the Captivate team) will match these donations for every review (show or episode) as well as podcaster reply, up to $1,000.

So, technically, if you leave a review for your favourite podcast, and the podcater replies to that review, the donation to the #Reviews4Good program will be $1.00, thanks to Captivate's match.

This initiative runs through the month of April, so, what are you waiting for?

  • Create an account on Podchaser (you can sign up via email, or with your Twitter, Facebook, or Google account), or log in if you already have an account

  • Scroll down until you see the Podcast Reviews section, and click Add a Review
  • Leave the amount of Rating Stars you wish to give, and then enter your review in the Review box
  • Click Save

And that’s it – your review will now be live, and I’ll get a notification of it soon. If you do leave me a review, email me to let me know, I’d love to give you a shout out on the show!

Hey, welcome to this special episode of Podcaster Stories. This week's going to be a really quick one, and it's about a, a, a cool initiative by the folks over at Podchaser the is Lake, The IMDP of Podcasts, and it's a great place to find new podcasts and new creators create your own lists, et cetera, as well as real leave reviews and ratings from your favorite shows and

episodes. And what they are doing during the month of April is they've got the Reviews for good initiative and Reviews for Good is partnering with Meals on Wheels, America, to help provide food aid, wellness checks, et cetera, for Seniors impacted by COVID 19 in the us. Right now, it doesn't matter that you're not in the U S I'm in Canada. It's just a great initiative to be part of the van, you know, to give back to, and it's really simple to give back to it in the month of

April, thanks to Podchaser. And also My podcast host Captivate, which I'm a part of the team as well. So a lot of just clean or that, but basically what Podchaser is doing for Reviews for Good is for every Review that has left for a podcast in the month of April, they will donate 25 cents to Meals on Wheels. America is Go Further fund for every episode Review. They will also donate 25 cents. And if the Podcaster replies to that, have you either a day for the

show or episode, Totani a father of twenty-five cents. So essentially they can be at an eight and 50 cents per Review that you'll leave it for your favorite podcast or your favorite episode. However, thanks to Captivate. We are going to match these reviews before show level and episode level, as well as it applies from the podcast. And in question, and we will match that up to an amount of a thousand

dollars. So for example, you'll leave a review for your favorite podcast and a podcast that applies that's 50 sense from Podchaser, but that will also be 50 cents from Captivate, making a dollar, going to Meals and Wheels go for the fund for that one single review, which is

pretty awesome. So if you want to be involved and you want to help, you know, my little humble should get some more interviews as well on Podchaser, or you can do this really easily head on over to Podcaster Stories dot com forward slash Review, and you'll see the instructions there on how you can leave it to view. social profile, our Gmail or something like that. And then you can leave a review for the show and I'll be notified. I can jump on and say, thank you and apply it to the Review. No, because my podcast, as I mentioned, has hosted on Captivate. Not only will that a Review get 50 cents because of your review and my reply from Podchaser, it will kill a Further 50 cents from Captivate, meaning that your view has no send $1 to the Meals on Wheels. America is Go

Further fund, which is pretty awesome. You can go to Podcaster Stories dot com forward slash Review, scroll down a little bit. Do you see the purchase? So details, head on over saying up, leave a review and you're good to go. And it's just a really cool where to help Seniors. I have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. So again, thanks. So you got involved.

Thanks a lot. We'll be back with the final episode in season three next week, I'll be taken a small break a juror the month of may. I'm

trying to remember what month it would. And so we take out a small break during a month of may to a regroup, RE you going to re-energize myself, or if you're like, Oh, and then the returning with season four in between that I we'll have to use your end of season recap on some other details of bonus episodes until then take care and stay there.
