He has received five Blues Music Awards for Soul Blues Male Artists, Soul Blues Album, Traditional Blues Album of the Year, Instrumentalist, Vocals
and Instrumentalist Harmonica. I love his song Maybe the Last Time from his album Maybe the Last Time. The album was recorded before his surgery, according to John, and he said, hopefully it won't be the last time. Hopefully it won't. When you listen to the song Maybe the Last Time, it has a gospel blues style sound. John Niemoth has a great band and backup singers. They really sound soulful.
