Malcolm takes a call from Francis Gary Powers Jr., a Cold War historian who tours the United States giving lectures about his father, Francis Gary Powers, an American pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down while flying a reconnaissance mission in Soviet Union airspace, causing the 1960 U-2 incident. Gary also shares stories about his involvement with Steven Spielberg’s film, Bridge of Spies.
