Episode description

Wesley Strick joins Vik in studio to discuss his reaction to watching The Sopranos pilot episode for the first time. Wesley wrote the screenplay for Martin Scorsese’s Cape Fear. Will Janowitz, who played Finn on The Sopranos, and who also was a guest on this pod, connected Wesley and Vik after becoming aware that Cape Fear was Vik's favorite Scorsese picture. Wesley had always wanted to get into the show but was was unable during its original run because of a small thing called parenting little kids. But being a guest on the pod was a bit of a catalyst for him and the precursor to a wonderful conversation. The Sopranos stuff is about 35 minutes in...but if you’re a Scorsese, DeNiro, or Cape Fear fan....the first half is sure to delight. In addition to writing Cape Fear, Wesley has had a long and transcendent career as a writer and producer in Hollywood. A few of his other projects include Arachnophobia and more recently, The Man in the High Castle.
