The season five This Is Us finale ended with a transformative, compelling, question-creating minute of television that will leave fans theorizing until the premiere of the sixth and final season sometime next year. This season, shortened by two episodes and somewhat compromised by shooting conditions imposed by the COVID pandemic, brought the Big 3 back together after last season’s climactic Randall/Kevin blow-up. We also saw Rebecca tried her best to heal old wounds with her kids while her new medications stabilized her memory issues. Randall found a birth mother he didn’t know he’d lost. Kate adopted a baby we have no idea why she needed. And Kevin might have become the best version of himself yet in his journey to emulate his father.
