Episode description

Based on Exodus 3:1-6 When the Bush fails to Burn is a reflection on Moses’ encounter with the phenomenal manifestation of God’s presence in the Burning Bush that failed to be consumed. The underlying question in this podcast is this, what if Moses did not step aside to look? Maybe the very act of stepping aside to see the wonder unfolding before him is the real miracle and not the burning bush itself. We have been engineered by contemporary society to know first, that is to understand the science of something ab initio but no! We are not called to know; we are called to trust and to obey. There is a bush burning in each of our lives and throughout our lives as we walk along this well-worn path, there might well be a message for us in it only if we world be attentive enough. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Shalom!
