Episode description

Based on Luke 5:1-11 ‘Giving up for the Day’ is a reflection on what God can do with our frustration, when we are ready to give up. Simon Peter and his friends headed out to the sea, hoping for a big catch but to their disappointment nothing, not even a little crawfish. They toiled and toiled until they decided to call it off. But then, Jesus Christ showed up and borrowed their boats. Even though they were giving up for the day on fishing, little did they know that they were going to be a part of something much bigger than them because on the day of Pentecost, the unlearned Galilean fisherman took to the podium to proclaim the risen Jesus Christ so eloquently so much so that  about 3,000 people were added to the new Church, Peter became a fisher of men instead of fishes.
