Akerei Maresala-Thomson — Taking back CONTROL of our NARRATIVE and DATA

Akerei Maresala-Thomson is a change maker. A survivor of sexual abuse, a former police officer who arrested over 700 people and now a tech entrepreneur who has created an app called MyRivr that connects people who need help with people who offer help all from their smartphone. Akerei has studied the Data and now wants to help empower Pasifika people to connect them with each other in real life and the digital realm to acknowledge their story, capture their data and empower communities to control their own narratives now and in the future.
