The magicians close a deal with an ancient. They search through the city and neutralize the strange fruit left by Portmore's men. In exchange, the Ghoul Lord lets them into the Labyrinth beneath Winchester. But more trials lie ahead in the travel, their own magical consciences, and the foes they face at the end. And then Merlin's Prophecy comes true and with it horrific devastation...
