In this first installment of what will be several, I’ll tell you the beginning of the story. Including, a monster truck show on Long Island, my mother taking me from school to go see Dr. Earnhardt, her winning a NASCAR call-in contest, and why I kept this all under-wraps amongst my artsy friends for so long. Think of this as the introduction. As we go I’ll tell stories about, my Pan-African go-kart, a NASCAR race with an ex-girlfriend, racing R/C cars with my father, unintentionally sneaking into the garage at Pocono Raceway, turning unsuspecting friends into NASCAR fans, and the thrill of local racing!
Being that mothers day just passed, this episode is dedicated to her, for loving and dealing with a little NASCAR fanatic!
