In this podcast, I would like to talk more about the communication breakdown in the HPT loop. To review briefly what we covered in episode 14. The Connection Between The Gut and Thyroid Gland Part One
. Our thyroid hormones are monitored by the hypothalamus which sends a message to the pituitary which relays that message to the thyroid to increase the production of T-4 hormones. But what happens if the thyroid malfunctions and is unable to follow the directions from the hypothalamus and pituitary?
