A Code Orange is in effect for the Philadelphia area due to poor air quality, owing to the Mines Spung wildfire burning in Shamong Township, Burlington County for a second day. Starting tomorrow (Sunday) SEPTA is suspending all service on the Chestnut Hill East regional rail line for the entire summer, so that it can do bridge maintenance. Anyone who’s been to a grocery store in New Jersey has probably seen the Jersey Fresh signs to alert shoppers of locally grown fruit and vegetables. Now, lawmakers in Trenton are working on a similar campaign for locally sourced seafood.
