Meet Cohort 5 Assistant Principal Induction Program Participant, Duane J. Edwards

Duane J. Edwards is a first year Assistant Principal at Bladensburg Elementary School. Prior to this position he has served in the capacity of Instructional Lead Teacher (Bladensburg Elementary), Professional School Counselor (Longfields Elementary and John Eager Howard Elementary), and 10th grade English teacher (Somerset County Public Schools). Mr. Edwards is a graduate of The University of Maryland Eastern Shore where he received both his Bachelor's (English Education) and Masters (Guidance and Counseling Education) Degrees. He received his CAGS in Education Administration and Policy from Howard University. Currently, Mr. Edwards is working on his Ed.D in Education Leadership at the American College of Education. Duane Edwards is very active in his community always willing to help with mentoring programs that will enhance our children’s progress.
