Episode description

​A native Washingtonian, Mr. Flanagan has spent the last 23 years serving the students of Prince George’s County, MD. He began his career as a Paraprofessional in 1995. In 1996, he became a 6th Grade Teacher at Templeton ES, where he remained until 2004. From Templeton, Mr. Flanagan joined the staff at Mary Harris “Mother” Jones ES as a Technology Resource Teacher, and eventually School Testing Coordinator. In the midst of these positions, Mr. Flanagan has held many leadership roles.  Mr. Flanagan is also an accomplished musician. His compositions have been featured on stage and screen. One of his proudest moments was the performance of several of his compositions and the John F. Kennedy Center. Mr. Flanagan earned a Masters Degree in Education and is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He resides in Howard County, MD with his wife of 14 years.
