Parshat Hachodesh - How Much are We in Control of Time

Before the splitting of the sea, before the ten commandments, came this. “HaChodesh HaZeh Lachem”—this month is yours. The first mitzvah ever given to Am Yisrael wasn’t about sacrifice or prayer. It was about time. About renewal. About not waiting. Even while still sunk in the depths of Mitzrayim, Hashem handed us the power to begin again.
