Sifu Romero began martial arts at the age of 14, studying Northern Shaolin and TaiChi in Albuquerque, NM. After high school, he moved to Culver City, Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. There, he met Grandmaster Hawkins Cheung, a childhood friend of Bruce Lee and Ip Man’s most senior US student.
I absolutely loved this interview with Sifu Romero and especially the wisdom he shared about being a part of your students lives and shedding the 'Teacher/Master' persona so that you may connect with people on a deeper level.
