Inventing Inclusion

Michael Glenn, Colin Fowler, and guest host Lara Dueppen speak with NaThanya Ferguson of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Office of Innovation Outreach. This episode touches upon topics concerning unrepresented groups of inventors, including the historical underrepresentation of women as named inventors on patent applications. NaThanya highlights a number of inspirational inventor stories, and the group discusses what is currently being done, and what can still be done, to address the need to include everyone in the patent process.
