Life as a performer often means juggling multiple passions and finding ways to lend your skills to build a life that truly feels good.

In this episode, I’m chatting with Tyan—an actress, writer, creative freelancer for Dramagical Entertainment Ltd, and mother of two. Tyan’s journey is inspiring. She trained with the National Youth Theatre from a young age, appearing in musicals and performing at some of the West End’s most well-known theatres. She went on to complete a degree in Performance Studies with Musical Theatre, originally planning to become a Primary School Teacher. However, her path took a different turn.

While working closely in Special Needs and English as an Additional Language (EAL) departments, she became passionate about helping children who struggle both academically and socially. She began creating workshops to help children develop confidence and social skills alongside their academic growth—work she believed was just as essential.

Now, Tyan runs these workshops full-time under her business,Dramagical Entertainment Ltd. Her workshops for libraries, community centres, nurseries, and schools have reached far more children than she ever imagined possible. This year, she launchedStories and Rhymes with Tyan, a baby and toddler group offering culturally diverse workshops focused on building confidence, self-esteem, and empowering little ones as they grow up in a big world.

In this episode, we talk about her journey pivoting from teaching into business—all while maintaining a career in the performing arts and navigating parenthood at the same time.
