Psalm 56, 57, & 58
Episode description
In Psalm 56, 57, & 58, David once again shows us the importance of giving God our fears and God then turning those fears into increased faith. God heard every prayer, every plea and every one of his tears. He hears ours as well and wants us to let Him comfort, strengthen, and heal our broken spirits. David's greatest desire was to glorify God so he brought absolutely everything to God. God wants us to talk with Him openly and honestly about everything - all day, every day. He wants a true and real relationship with us. David depended on God's grace to carry him through every struggle and every circumstance because he knew he could trust God wholeheartedly. David turned caves into sanctuaries giving worship and praise to God through every turn. He determined within himself to praise and worship God in the storm and took refuge in God's presence. Worship breaks down walls within us and around us. David repeatedly brought his concerns and feelings to God and then spoke the truth of God and His Word over himself. David was led by truth and worshiped out of devoted love to the Lord. We can make the same choices in our own lives today. We can choose to worship the Lord in the storms, stand firm in faith, be patient and trust, hope, and wait on the Lord in anticipation because we know He is the only One who holds the victory.
