Episode description

In Matthew 3, John the Baptist is revealed as the forerunner announcing the coming of our King and Savior - our Messiah, Yeshua. A forerunner went before the king to announce that the king was coming to visit a town and make sure the town was in good condition to receive him. The forerunner prepared people for the arrival of the king. John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus. Today, if we have repented from sin and have chosen to submit our lives to Jesus, heart and soul, we are forerunners for Jesus. We are called and commissioned to prepare the way and announce the coming King. Jesus is returning. The message is the same today as it was in John's day: repent because the Kingdom of God is near. Repenting leads to a radical change in your ways as your heart turns from sin to Jesus. Your life looks different because your heart is different. You are baptized with water, the Holy Spirit, and fire. The Holy Spirit does a work within you and the fire burns out all the junk that doesn't belong in there. It's an internal heart change. Jesus is preparing us for an eternity with Him and He is returning sooner today than yesterday, so there's no time like "now" time to repent and passionately run to Jesus with all your guts and fall more and more in love with Him every day as you do.
