Luke 14

In Luke 14, Jesus tells a story about guests responding to their invitation to a wedding banquet. Guests were invited to attend the banquet, but the guests who were invited gave lame excuses as to why they could not attend. The excuses were tied to their possessions, their work, and their personal affections. These are still the excuses people make today to not join Jesus at His Table now, and for eternity. People are too busy, want to work more to buy more things, have work to do to buy those things, and have to organize outings and engagements for the next month. There are so many excuses given for not living a life in surrendered worship to the Lord, experiencing all He wants to pour out in our lives today. He invites all to His banquet. It's up to us to say: "Yes, Lord, I'm all Yours", and join Him at His Table.
