Episode description

In Genesis 39 & 40, Joseph is working as a slave in Potiphar's house and is honored by God and blessings follow him. Potiphar's wife tries to tempt him but Joseph refuses her and refuses to commit this sin against God. He is falsely accused and thrown into prison. God again honors him and is with him through it all. He is committed to being a kick-butt slave and prisoner and intentionally brings God into every conversation. Awareness of God in all things changes how you look at things. God is working on developing his character to match his calling. A cup-bearer and baker have dreams while they are in prison with Joseph and he interprets them. The cup-bearer is restored and redeemed and the baker is killed. He asked the cup-bearer to remember him when he is restored and freed from prison but instead he's forgotten. It's not God's time for him yet. Jesus too was wrongly accused and crucified for our sins even though He was sinless. There were two thieves crucified with Jesus, one of which was redeemed by Jesus because he chose to believe in Him and he put his faith in Jesus. During the last supper, Jesus gave the disciples bread and wine representing the new covenant and the importance of remembering Jesus in all things.
