Episode description

In Ezekiel 23, God warns of coming destruction for Jerusalem and explains why this judgment is coming and why it is just. Judah forgot God. They compromised. They lusted after false gods and nations around them. They treated people with all out injustice and depended on nations around them for help instead of God. They fell in to complete unbelief. They worshipped idols and killed innocent people - even their own children. God said enough. It was time for judgment. Rather than turning to God in repentance, they turn more and more to the culture and practices of the world around them. They would be punished for their sins such as spiritual, political, and social adultery and for shedding innocent blood. They made a choice and would now face the consequences of the choice they've made. We have a choice today as well. We can choose Jesus. We can choose Life for all eternity. We can choose forgiveness and freedom from sin. One way or another sin will be accounted for, it's up to us to choose how it will be - through us ourselves, or through Jesus.
